The bottom plastic fastener doesn’t need to be drilled, just push the center piece in.

My 2007 XC70 has plastic lenses, and no wipers, but it looks like it would be a fairly similar operation.

Man they sure made a great improvement for the S40 II and C30 because you just pull a metal bar up annddddddddd you're done...
