What many people also aren't aware of when discussing minimum wage is that employers can get away with paying you less than minimum wage if they can prove that they can't employ all their staff without incurring losses. If I remember correctly up to 20% less in certain cases.

Small correction: The minimum wage is R25, not R30 an hour. Some employers even get away with still paying R22 an hour.
