What a dramatic scene with the roar of the waves, the howl of the wind and the drama of the foaming water and spindrift. It’s a different kind of beauty.
We often muse about the tourist point of view, i.e. seeing Porthcurno in the summer, and wonder if it is interesting to see it, say in a storm and I think your comment goes a long way to answering that! Sarah :)
What a truly mesmerising video.... The sight, sound and smell of the ocean, the amazing power of mother nature at her finest. Wow! I could watch a rough sea all day! Thank you so much. Xx
Very stormy but still very beautiful and I love getting out on the 'occasional' day like that. It just goes to show the power of nature, although, that seal seemed to be enjoying himself. Cheers Alan
Whenever we are on Porthcurno beach, i cant help thinking about all the information and messages that came ashore there via the cables under those waves and sand. I think we take too much for granted these days. Thank you both for filming this and sharing it, but it looks as if you had fun doing.
Our mission is to try and find some safe spots that anyone can watch a storm. I think we have found another but that will be posted later this month ... Sarah :)
Wow, those are some powerful and magnificent waves. And Pedn Vounder looks like a Pavlova with all the whipped sea foam 😁 SO very different from when we were there in July 😍
Wow! What a dramatic video. Spectacular scenery and I did like the comparison with Summer and a day like yesterday. 2 films this week, double wow! Enjoyed it...thank you. Stay safe guys.
Stunning. We live off Lake Michigan in the US, and only once in awhile do we get waves like this, during big, windy storms - I've seen them up to 15 feet - but, I think these in your video might be much bigger! Anyhow, great video.
Sadly, my computer sound has broken down and can't hear a blinking thing you are saying! But watched the ''silent movie'' all the way through & all the drama of the waves. Got the atmosphere of it all but without the sound of the crashing waves :-) J x
Just had a scary computer moment myself - trouble rebooting! Made the heart quiver a bit ...I hope you restore sound soon. Andrew did offer to make a Charlie Chaplin style silent movie ... Sarah :)
Wonderful memories of Porthcurno Beach when I was much younger and when I was about 22/23 years old on a hot August night in that semi tunnel at 04:06 at 3am with XXXXX and we had some marvellous fun (as you would at that age) but that was nearly 50 years ago and I've not seen XXXXX for many many years but I've not forgotten that night/morning. 👿
tamed waves ... mighty as they are. Does not the wind coming from behind of you prevent the waves coming higher to the shore? Have you been there at spring-tide? Thanks for the video!
@@CornishWalkingTrails yes be careful once I took a handy cam.tomthe beach and train of sand got inside and stuffed up.my zoom ...protect it with cover or simple rag or something
Very stormy seas, but remember to keep well back from the sea when it's stormy cause the waves can be very strong & pull you into deep water. Stay safe.

You so totally get it! That's what a winter storm is all about Sarah :)
When you get to see Cornwall in different seasons, you also you get to appreciate it just that little bit more.

Totally agree! Sarah :)
Many thanks for showing the roaring seas to us living far inland, very beautiful and powerful!
Our pleasure! I love watching the sea whether it is calm or like this, stormy and powerful! Sarah :)

HI Alan, yes we ventured out when it had 'calmed' down a bit, just to protect our cameras really! Sarah :)

Love to see stormy weather and great gift to see the Seal's. Thanks for filming that.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! Sarah :)
This reminds me so much of the day we visited Gunwalloe about a month ago. The wind was so strong I could barely stand up! So dramatic. I love it!
Nothing better then am impossible walk in the strong wind followed by a well deserved toast in a pub, maybe! Sarah :)
Love the fierce waves. Beautiful.
Incredible. Loved it!
Always in awe of the power of Mother Nature. Beautiful.
Great power in these waves! Sarah :)

Thank you! Yes, the waves were big, not sure how big, and very powerful! Sarah :)
Goodness! I was there on a hot July day this past summer.....what a difference!
Total contrast! Isn't it great? Sarah :)
Шторм впечатляет!!! Волны завораживают и одновременно ощущаешь себя какой-то маленькой букашечкой....
Я в экстазе когда плаваю в таких штормах.
How beautiful and I personally think very calming!! Thank you for this fantastic video Sarah and Andrew, just what I needed to fall asleep, lol
I find the sea mesmerising, almost hypnotic, Sarah :)

Oh ya guys I’ve been waiting for more storm videos!! I love the other ones you’ve done too. Great as always.
I'm sure this is the first of a few this winter. We will try and get out to film them, especially of they fall on our day off! Sarah :)
FANTASTIC ! Great video - love the sound and the energy.
Hope you are warm and cosy again. 😉
💟💟💟
Ah Thank you! and yes, back in the warm and dry clothes all round!! Sarah :)

Love Cornwall
It still holds beauty in any season.
I agree - love it! Sarah :)
Aaaah, we were there in April when it was boiling hot, great to see the waves!
A contrast no doubt! Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails Oh yes,❤ we normally stay in Marazion, opposite the castle, I do love a bit of stormy weather though 😊
A beautiful spot! There were one or two white horses in Mount's bay this weekend, Sarah :)
Hello found you from Campervan capers, New friend here from Canada :o) great video tyfs :o)
Welcome to our channel! Love Vicki and she has a great channel. Really enjoy her vids. Sarah :)

Thank you.

WoW ! I imagine there are surfers that would like those waves
I think it would be a brave surfer to try this type of sea! Sarah :)
Wow! That was beautiful but I do respect the sea. Handsfulbythesea on IG said it had been storming there but to see it was awesome!
Must check that out ... Sarah :)
You can never beat the weather like this on the coast this is what I'm talking about lovely. Still be better if there was a shipwreck on the rocks
It really looks very similiar to our Victorian ocean coast in winter but our waves much Bigger
Yeh, we chickened out a bit, the waves were bigger earlier on the flooding tide but we wanted to protect our cameras! Sarah :)

Amazing filming of the rough sea.
Mightier than the waves of the sea. The Lord on high is mighty.

God is in control
Water is amazing but you can tell it’s nothing to play with.
