You guys did it! This episode was so hilarious and I'm sure many of us can relate to the harsh trial that is Echidna. But with each and every victory makes us that much more better against future events.
Aidens TMR seemed a bit out of reach, as well as CoD's TMR and that Noctis, but other than that this video made me go for Echidna a XX time around with new hope!
P0k3rm4s7 I think he was talking bout the ribbon which is Kefka's tmr. The dual cast is out of reach for me because I have not summoned Ludmile. 5 months and I have finally summoned a Noctis though.
all in all it seems like it's a doable challenge. they've been fairly generous with the trust moogle lately so as long as you play it smart you can get enough good stuff to make it through some challenges
Oh yeah, Ribbon is also kinda out of reach but I don't think you actually need it, you could just get a black choker and some other accesory, Dual Cast really doesn't matter since Y'shtola was a free unit, but you might be like me or Shaly and not have her :/
I'll also ask - When will we have the same login options as JP, instead of being forced to let Facebook datamine the hell of us (especially with their latest banwave affecting so many players)
also when will be getting an increase drop rate for rainbows. jp has 3% while we still have 1%. ohh and the ex point system. yeahh global is a good place to spend money.

And please give more ticket rewards during raids and why not go for 15 or 20 tickets in mog king events instead of only 10 since we are having more and more units in the summoning pool thus making it harder and harder to get the banner units esp. 4* base, so many trolls!
Cecil with Safety bit starting out with Provoke, Minfilia starting out with Confuse resistance then rotating Wind resistance, Earth resistance -> Confuse resistance -> Repeat, Ysh'tola starting out with DC Shellga + Baraeroa (Healer and buffer), CoD starting out with Protectga (Odin for Fingersnaps on charmed units, protectega, items, Blind (More valuable than what you might think)), Ling for Paralyze removal and MP regen (Chakra to regenerate own MP) + Any damage dealing friend unit.
This kind of content is great! I like the update videos but seeing you actually play a trial is awesome. Hope you do more things like this in the future Shaly and Dah Sol.

I think it would be a great idea if they implemented a way for you to see different stats (like damage done, healing done, damage taken, etc..) at the end of each battle. You could just add an expand button to one of the ending screens and show all the stats.

On Brave Frontier, we would get Nichol, Sakura, and Jake (possibly Veritas of the dark) and the Re-opening of the Rain, Fina, Laswell, and Lid gates.

well, i've got 2 Questions for Gumi. First : When will we get a higher Stage of Gil Snapper Cave and Cactuar Dunes ? Will we ever get it ? And Second : Where you thinking/planning about a feature like a Music Box where you can set up your Music for Battle's, Home screen ect. with all the sounds that exist so far or would you even have the time to plan or bring a feature like that out ? im F2P but this trial boss is still so easy, i put my effort to prepare my self for facing tough bosses, if it possible i hope next trial boss will be way more harder than this with good reward ofc
On the niconico stream was shown that there will be a chocobo exploration, that will make a team away to gather itens and also will increase the trust master reward percentage...the question is...will this be a reality for us early? It a nice way to avoid third party programs, emulators and macro. I believe it should be considered.
Would be helpful if the last hit kills went away. Such a pain in the butt to get so close and because a summon or a LB was not the final hit. Just have it be part of the final barrage of hits should suffice. Also, how about some Weapons trial bosses? Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Ultima, etc?

I want to see Gilgamesh (and the older trials) using some of the newer 5* units (or newer units in general)... Reberta, Fryevia, Rem, Wilhelm, etc. just to see their skills in action. So many guides use the older units, and I'm wondering if the new guys have a chance.
You could definitely bring Minfilia instead of CoD and equip her with the 2 god of protection materia. She will cure all units while counter with a 40% probability (20%each). She also have Auto Ribbon so she resist all status ailments!

great gameplay! I beat her 2 days after the trial appeared and I did it completely blind with many retries and seeing her moves. but I wasn't able to defeat her with 5 units, i got the kiss materia and I'm OK with that :D I'll retry the event when i become stronger in the future.
yarh79 I'm only a lvl 57 and I've been scared to run this, I also started 3 months ago and iPhone only so I don't have many TM's yet BUT I do have a solid team that's fully lvl'd (not fully potted yet) my team is Refia, Cecil ,olive, T Terra and Noctis. I've been lucky on my pulls and got those units and have made decent progress in the game.
Hey! Will Limited characters like Elza ever get ability awakenings? Been my babe since I got her but I'm feeling like her equipment limitations is starting to hurt her. I often end up using tanks and supports of my own while burrowing damage dealers from friends. Cheers! :)

hey guys why gumi dont create a reset skill for esper im going to give u a exaple why? cecil is a tank n support unit that dont have provoke but got alot of cover ability so i build my golem for him whit out cover ability n use it to provoke but know we got Sozhe that is a physical n tank unit that have provoke but it dont have cover ability.... that way for future new unit u can build ur esper according to the unit ability or are we getting 3start for esper in the future? aswell where is the ff1 6start unit, warrior of ligth n garland??? Since you guys are getting more freedom. Can Gumi change the arena? I've yet to meet someone that actually enjoys running the arena. Please change it to something that is less tedious and boring!
I TRY to run it once a day for the 20 lapis but mostly I can't even bare to do that even though the victory is painless and quick. So yeah... I'm also hoping for some improvements there.
echidna is quite surprising but actually it is easy with a good roster.. i am lucky enough to have ling and noctis which is very versatile and good for many trials.. add olive for another dps and dc refia..
Project862006 um minfilia buff is 70% s.element res and cod 30% all element res. minfilia can buff too. echidna just use wind element for attack. and minfilia have all aoe buff. so minfilia is better tbh. there's another way too, you can use baraerora materia on someone with heal to be your second healer. ex: luka, rem. but anyway cod can get the job done too, but it's harder, so yeah.
Minfilia can put on a buff for confuse resist she can do wind resist (which is all you need until the 50% threshold) And if you blind/silence Echidna then you don't need earth resist. Not to mention Minfilia's exclusive materia lets her counter with curaja. It procs a lot via tornado.
echidna does earth,wind attacks not to mention she inflicts blind,silence,petrify,paralyze,petrify,confuse,poison with her attacks and cod has aoe esuna
like captraint said before, there's no need to worry about earth and paralyze if you can inflict status to echidna start 50% health every 3 turn. because that the only tech that cause paralyze. and if you don't know, there's no way anyone can survive that attack. it does 5k+ damage even with buff up. so if it can be prevented it's better. that's why in this let's play they use stone/conf resist only and ignore the ailment, because you pretty much lose a turn if that inflicted. and tbh, it's not efficient to use the esuna at any member. and minfilia skill is ability so even she get silence there's no effect. she can do logistical support too, for cure stat ailment attacker that inflicted by blind. if say, cod change place with luka equip with baraerora or winter ward, she could do better tbh. she got 5 turn def/spr buff, regen heal (it's like noctis cover but without mp), priestess miracle that can be used even if you silenced that heal hp+aoe esuna.
Could gumi produce an esper talent tree reset this could help many existing user where they mis-upgrade talent even it cost lapis. Another thing is when Warrior of Light get 6 star?!?! And why True Titan trial boss Titan keep on Tumult about 6 times for each turn WTF?!?!
Just now I bought the 4-star ticket pack saying it's guaranteed to give you a 4 star you higher. when I summoned it started as a base 3-star crystal then upgraded to a 4-star crystal. Are you telling me when I get the ticket the summon can start at a 3-star base......... seriously gumi...
Fatal Crest it started as a blue one and turned yellow. i dont see any problem there. even if the colour changes you are guaranteed a 4 star base out of a yellow crystal

(sighs) It's okay I might get a ribbon... next year!!! I mean, that is if I play fair which I'm doing for about a year. Wish you could reward real honest players. Can't wait to get my computer running for nox.
I messed up esper kill. Did this without a tank and just took two yshtolas. Two yshtolas is the ultimate set up. Except three. But two typically seals the deal of victory in every battle, even with noob dps you will slowly chip away and win like I did awhile back with Gilgamesh. Took me so long. But thankfully I pulled an Aileen and got her to 900 attack. This fight isn't too bad if you have noctis for the sealing of flare. Maybe setzer could seal it ok too. But my previous strategy early about chipping Away slowly would not work since echidna becomes immune to status after 30 inflictions. So be careful. Maybe I'll go get that kiss soon. But let's be honest, who needs magic in ffbe. Mages suck. Physical resist wilhelm? Lol. Aileen x2 chain kills him in 2 turns. Oh and shaly, you can come beat me anytime, or complete me, or 'insert equip rod pun here'.

The part I liked the most about this video is that you guys didn't use anything crazy or out of reach for a ftp player, equipment or ability wise.

Aiden's TM was free from the Egg seeker event, they didn't use CoD's TMR, the only out of reach thing was using Noctis.

In the future they will add 4 tikets of 4 star base for moogle event + 10 (normal)tikets

This trail was a pain in the @$$ until I gave the Safety Bit to a maxed out Snow. That one change made the whole thing way easy.

great gameplay! I beat her 2 days after the trial appeared and I did it completely blind with many retries and seeing her moves. but I wasn't able to defeat her with 5 units, i got the kiss materia and I'm OK with that :D
I'll retry the event when i become stronger in the future.
yarh79 I'm only a lvl 57 and I've been scared to run this, I also started 3 months ago and iPhone only so I don't have many TM's yet BUT I do have a solid team that's fully lvl'd (not fully potted yet) my team is Refia, Cecil ,olive, T Terra and Noctis. I've been lucky on my pulls and got those units and have made decent progress in the game.
Fix the esper kills... took me 8 kills to get it. Hp% would be helpful.
May sound insane, but friendpoint units only trial.

Will Limited characters like Elza ever get ability awakenings? Been my babe since I got her but I'm feeling like her equipment limitations is starting to hurt her. I often end up using tanks and supports of my own while burrowing damage dealers from friends.

cecil is a tank n support unit that dont have provoke but got alot of cover ability so i build my golem for him whit out cover ability n use it to provoke but know we got Sozhe that is a physical n tank unit that have provoke but it dont have cover ability.... that way for future new unit u can build ur esper according to the unit ability or are we getting 3start for esper in the future? aswell where is the ff1 6start unit, warrior of ligth n garland???

I TRY to run it once a day for the 20 lapis but mostly I can't even bare to do that even though the victory is painless and quick. So yeah... I'm also hoping for some improvements there.

echidna is quite surprising but actually it is easy with a good roster.. i am lucky enough to have ling and noctis which is very versatile and good for many trials.. add olive for another dps and dc refia..

You have Hydaelyn Guard...but you're not using Minfilia for this trial? She's better than Cloud of Darkness for this.
no really its much easier to use cod's omni veil since it protects all elements instead of timing which one echidna will do w/ minfillia
Project862006 um minfilia buff is 70% s.element res and cod 30% all element res. minfilia can buff too. echidna just use wind element for attack. and minfilia have all aoe buff. so minfilia is better tbh.
there's another way too, you can use baraerora materia on someone with heal to be your second healer. ex: luka, rem.
but anyway cod can get the job done too, but it's harder, so yeah.
Minfilia can put on a buff for confuse resist she can do wind resist (which is all you need until the 50% threshold) And if you blind/silence Echidna then you don't need earth resist.
Not to mention Minfilia's exclusive materia lets her counter with curaja. It procs a lot via tornado.
echidna does earth,wind attacks not to mention she inflicts blind,silence,petrify,paralyze,petrify,confuse,poison with her attacks and cod has aoe esuna
like captraint said before, there's no need to worry about earth and paralyze if you can inflict status to echidna start 50% health every 3 turn. because that the only tech that cause paralyze.
and if you don't know, there's no way anyone can survive that attack. it does 5k+ damage even with buff up. so if it can be prevented it's better.
that's why in this let's play they use stone/conf resist only and ignore the ailment, because you pretty much lose a turn if that inflicted. and tbh, it's not efficient to use the esuna at any member. and minfilia skill is ability so even she get silence there's no effect. she can do logistical support too, for cure stat ailment attacker that inflicted by blind.
if say, cod change place with luka equip with baraerora or winter ward, she could do better tbh. she got 5 turn def/spr buff, regen heal (it's like noctis cover but without mp), priestess miracle that can be used even if you silenced that heal hp+aoe esuna.

Could gumi produce an esper talent tree reset this could help many existing user where they mis-upgrade talent even it cost lapis. Another thing is when Warrior of Light get 6 star?!?! And why True Titan trial boss Titan keep on Tumult about 6 times for each turn WTF?!?!

Just now I bought the 4-star ticket pack saying it's guaranteed to give you a 4 star you higher. when I summoned it started as a base 3-star crystal then upgraded to a 4-star crystal. Are you telling me when I get the ticket the summon can start at a 3-star base......... seriously gumi...
Fatal Crest it started as a blue one and turned yellow. i dont see any problem there. even if the colour changes you are guaranteed a 4 star base out of a yellow crystal

I messed up esper kill. Did this without a tank and just took two yshtolas. Two yshtolas is the ultimate set up. Except three. But two typically seals the deal of victory in every battle, even with noob dps you will slowly chip away and win like I did awhile back with Gilgamesh. Took me so long. But thankfully I pulled an Aileen and got her to 900 attack. This fight isn't too bad if you have noctis for the sealing of flare. Maybe setzer could seal it ok too. But my previous strategy early about chipping Away slowly would not work since echidna becomes immune to status after 30 inflictions. So be careful. Maybe I'll go get that kiss soon. But let's be honest, who needs magic in ffbe. Mages suck. Physical resist wilhelm? Lol. Aileen x2 chain kills him in 2 turns. Oh and shaly, you can come beat me anytime, or complete me, or 'insert equip rod pun here'.
Any plans to add a multiplayer aspect to the game ?
By the way, you guys should do Chrono Trigger characters. In JP you had Dragonquest and Nier, but Chrono Trigger would be AMAZING.
