- We continue on our Narrowboat on our journey of the Peak Forest Canal. We make a mistake and head to Whaley Bridge. With no moorings available we turn the boat around and head to the beautiful Bugsworth Basin. For us living on a narrowboat, this is living the dream.
Anthony's making flatbread, I'm creating art and we have a visit from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue. Did Anthony cause the visit?

Those swing bridges look like a real workout too, but they are so charming to see on the canal. Beautiful spring scenery this season, love the trees covered in white blossom.❤️.
Bugsworth basin is one of my favorite places for narrowboat bloggers to visit. So interesting to see a glimpse into the industry that used to thrive there. The drone shots really showed the sleeper stones from the tramways very clearly. I have Buggy Basin on my wish list whenever I get to visit England🥰🌈.
Going to rain in my part of America all week, bummer, temps in the mid 80F humid and miserable. But my freshly planted flowers are loving it🌷.

Thank you so much Dawn. That flatbread was super easy to make. It tastes amazing (probably even better with fresh garlic and rosemary. We loved Bugsworth basin, in fact, we made a donation to stay longer. The warden and his wife made us really welcome and we met some amazing people. You can almost feel the industrial past. You should definitely visit if you ever get here. Dexter melts my heart everyday so I understand other people’s reaction to him 😍. Hope you enjoy the week ahead, whilst I know the importance of the rain for plants, I hope your weather improves soo. Take care ❤️ xx

The flat bread looked like a feast of deliciousness, as Lisa would say. I was waiting for the bacon. Bet it would be really good with smashed avocado and a fried egg on top....well and of course still with the bacon. Nice walk with Dexter Doggie...such a sweet boy. Have a great weekend. Bugsworth is the very very best. We loved it there and moored just about where you were at first. Took friends out for a mini cruise and moored back around the back. What an amazing and fascinating place ( sooo full of history) Hope to be able to go back one day before we're too old

Another beautiful and interesting Vlog! Peak District looks very nice indeed. Its on my bucket list to do some walking up there.... one day! Its great that you can just be yourself on camera Paul and you come across confident and relaxed.
Well done guys, loved the flat bread by the way. I sometimes, for a bit of variety, boil and then mash some potato into the mix. Also, if you feel curious, try them in a cast iron skillet instead, and watch the flavour exceed your greatest wishes!!

Developed yet more diseases for God’s sake..steroid induced diabetes and Polymagia Rheumatica pmr ..unbelievably painful….42 tablets a bloody day plus stabbing and more. It was lovely to see Anthony looking so relaxed on camera making the flatbread. Working in the kitchen, or should I say galley, is clearly a passion and any tension being filmed just vanished.
I kept looking at his wedding ring on the counter and just willing him to keep the dough well away from it - visions of the sixpence in the Christmas pudding kept springing to mind!

Unfortunately, the transition from National Heritage is meant to be taking place this year and that leaves the warden there with an uncertain future. It wouldn’t be the same without him and his wife. 😞.

Hi Anthony we’re going back to the boat on Wednesday, some of the family enjoyed her through half term, and we’re hoping a replacement pray cover will be fitted next week. THEN , we plan to have some time out ourselves. We’re both in our 70’s were so terribly unfit after the past year, and Graham just 12 weeks from open heart surgery so still a long way to go! But as you have both found, canal folks mostly so friendly and now more out and about there should be help around if needed! 😃

Another great video - nice to see some more 'cooking on the cut' with Anthony! I make a version of the flatbread but I use self raising flour with an equal amount of Greek yoghurt (I go fat free/higher protein) and it's lovely every time. :)

It’s gorgeous cruising just now, everything is that lovely fresh spring green with flowers popping up everywhere. Looks like lots of boaters are out and about, hopefully you can all cruise freely this year and just enjoy the canals. You boat vloggers are doing too good a job enticing new boaters😂🤣😂 pretty soon there won’t be room to move or moor the boats as there will be boats clogging every little move, leaf, ripple and bird🤣😄🤣. I’m jealous I can’t move onto one and just spend the rest of my days floating around. The bread looks easy to make, I’ll have to give it a try and your commission is just so cute Paul. Have a lovely weekend, hope you get some sun to enjoy. Hey guys. We are the opposite, beautiful sunshine but after such a long stretch of rain it really is welcomed. Glad you like the intro, Paul will be thrilled. The flatbread are super easy but a lovely alternative to bread.
The restrictions have eased but not totally lifted. I think that is near the end of the month, although with new variants developing we will have to wait and see.

Another lovely vlog. Camera work is stunning, even when you have bed head ~!~ Anthony's flat bread looks delicious. Does it stay soft so you can fill & fold into a sandwich? Bugsworth Basin looks like a great place to moor for a while. You do a brilliant job with the commissions. I really enjoy the views of the canal as you move along.

I made the flatbreads tonight. Pretty easy to make and tasted great. Think I’ll have a go at making some more, seeing as pretty much every country has them in their cuisine! My missus says that the Chinese version has chopped spring onions in them.

@@anthonysmith-storey9247 We also bread flour is what we call self rising flour. Connecticut is beautiful, especially in late spring and fall. Plus, filled with loads of history. Sadly, no canals though. I am going to try your recipe this week. Maybe make my own hummus to go with it.

Yeah the recent vlog is from at least 3 weeks ago and Paul has been on the boat roof today sunbathing whilst I have tried my best not to procrastinate and finish my uni essay!
