I think they just randomly threw the kitchen sink at this game in an attempt to make it "better" than the original, but without any direction. Sometimes "more" isn't better. I think the biggest addition for the sequel should have been left and right scrolling in the levels similar to defender. Adding different levels was a good idea, but I think they needed a more cohesive design instead of being so random. I also don't think the ability to transform into a Pegasus was a good addition, it was just too much of a pain in the rear to use it and I think a powerup system would have been a better addition. I don't think Joust 2 is a bad game, but it is a bad sequel IMO and it isn't surprising that it didn't sell very well.
Ah, the summer of ‘87 where I spent $7.50 on this game at the mall, in one afternoon. My parents had a fit!
Life - well - spent! XD
You still have that memory until now, That was worth it.
I cant blame them. Thats a lot
In my humble opinion the second ever "the sequel better than the original" video game since Ms. Pacman.
Amazing game. Better than the original and the original was great
This is so 80s..
Not surprising considering it was released in 1986, lol.

It was a bit difficult. Everything kills you. And eggs falling into water become nutty shadow lords
does it just loop no ending?
Yes, it just goes on forever. There's no ending.
