Love, love, love your elaboration Ralfy...!! Thank you so very much for spending these malt moments with us. Honestly, I wish there were such a thing as a one-hundred year old spirit simply so that I could listen to you go on, and on, and on.... LOL. Thank you very kindly for your dedication and time you put into sharing these uploads. Wishing for nothing less but the best of success. Cheers! 🐝☮️☯️
I brought this same bottle home to Las Vegas from Campbeltown early last May. It was the best thing I tasted in the Cadenheads shop the day I was there. Like you said, the shop staff were very helpful, and pointed me directly to this bottle once they had decided I was looking for a "character malt" (maybe those are the magic words?). Great review of a great whisky!!!
Must be nice to have whisky shops with staff that know. Last time I was at a nice big liquor superstore, a guy asked a clerk why "older scotch tastes like charcoal" and the dude confidently told him that it's because it sits longer in those charred barrels. The guy had a decent budget but got recommended some mainstream 80-proofer with a label. I just cringed and thought "more for me" (I was quietly snapping up single cask hazelburn and benromach from the discount rack). One must do one's own homework. Can't outsource decision making. And Ralfy's vlogs are the best shortcut! Thank you! 😎
Fantastic Ralfy! I have to say I'm very happy now, because I bought this exact bottle in the London shop, one and a half year ago for only 81 pounds (!), just using my gut feeling. I havent' opened it yet, but I really look forward to it now! Cheers!
Hi Ralfy. The Cadenheads version is too too pricey for me (in New Zealand). However, after some consideration I bought the official bottling of th 10 year old cask strength GlenAllachie. Once again, I find the cask influence is superb. The casks are so good. However, the spirit seems always to be hot and angry. Large amounts of water, time and patience required. Don't know if I'll bother again.
I wish I could shop at places like Cadenheads online and have quality whisky shipped to me but I can't because I live in Canada where our liquor laws are half stuck in the prohibition age. We don't have freedom here when it comes to alcohol. We're forced to buy the tiny selection the government graciously allows us for 4x the price as the rest of the world and we can't buy from anybody else. They are a corrupt cartel.
What are your thoughts on Cadenheads bottlings in the past 18 months? The staff have all been replaced in Edinburgh recently and things feel very different.
Hi ralfy Hope you are doing well, I would love to have some caden heads whiskey, being from the USA, can you tell me where I can buy cadenheads that ship's to the states, I know I'm asking alot from you, but I don't know where to find this bespoke bottle of whiskey, cheers ralfy and keep the great videos coming !!!
Thanks to you, Ralfy. I am starting to explore independent bottlings. Instead of going for chill-filtered, colored stuff from official bottlings of many distilleries, I go for integrity bottlings to search for the true form of whisky. As a budget drinker, I can only go for some young independent bottlings from 5 - 10 years old. Still, this philosophy make my purchase easier, and I don't mind if they taste young. What do you think of "Carn Mor" bottlings? I bought a few bottles as they are slightly cheaper than Signatory.
Just revisit your review on the Carn Mor Caol Ila 8 years old. I bought a 7 years old Fettercairn from Carn Mor. The Official bottling "Fior" seems to have spoonful of caramel in it and it is technically red color. Any plan to review some Fettercairn? Seems that you have no video on this one.
A mashup of your "clicker" malfunctions would be a welcome break in the whiskyreview/extras/whiskyreview/extras routine. *A change is as good as a rest* ;)
Would love to get my hands on that whiskey. Great review. Was wondering If you could Do a review on Glentauchers 1996 20-year-old Highland laird Independent bottling by Bartels. Or If in fact anyone has tried this as was thinking to buy a bottle Due to it selling for £60 at the minute And would love to know if its any good. Love your reviews.
Clickertastic, as ever. And a good review, you say fennel I think aniseed, you say aniseed I don't say potayto, potarto, tomayto or tomarto I think "Two Ronnies" (neither of them Cox) You say 93, I guessed 91 my bad, still all good. Slanjeevaurus, you meteoric maniacal mungbean.
I'm from Russia, I don't drink whiskey, but can't stop to watch this. Pretty accent, great charisma...
I dont drinki is well, vodka it is men alcohol, whisky is for
Ralfy actually also drinks Vodka and reviews it from time to time, is you post a request me may review that bottle as well.
@@robfut9954 problem is, what he knows about vodka ?
I came here for more clicker drama and did not leave disappointed!
did anyone do a compilation yet? haha xD
Ralfy at his best!
Since watching your reviews, have become more bold and trying more independent bottlings and so far so good... ;-) Thank you!
. . . happy to help !
Thank you for highlighting this quiet malt. Sounds sublime

Really need to invest in some Cadenheads. Great one Ralfy. Cheers.

Ebbhead for the age that’s an easy gamble on any independent bottle in my opinion. Glad it planned out
RobFut 99 Yes, Cadenhead is usually very good value
4 years later.....how was it?
I enjoyed this Ralfy review with a dram of Scapa 2005 from Gordon & MacPhail
Hi Ralfy, holy s**t... I like Glenallachie already with younger age, but this one.. thanks for the malt review. Slàinte!
And wait to snag one of those limited edition bonnets, Ralfy! The anticipation is high over here.

Thanks for the Malt Mention Ralfy! I must have put that in a while ago?? Cheers to you :-)
Gregg.
How do you get a malt mention ?
Do you have to be a Patreon supporter ?
@@eoinoconnell185 You know I can't remember!! I think you go to Ralfy's website . I did this years ago and forgot about it..LOL

. . . many Canadians agree with you.
Ralfy rumblings and revelations ... keep them coming ... love watching your show with a wee dram!
Ralfy yer cheeks are glowing ! Great stuff there, more words of malty wisdom, keep em coming.
I liked most the design of the box with its impeccable Scottish plaids style.
Love the tartan tweed look of those boxes

. . . turbulent times at Cadenhead. I don''t buy their bottlings often.
One from this distillery you named your whisky of the year 2020? Did I fall asleep and lose a year?

Good to know I’m not alone ;)
I don’t understand why Glenallachie don’t use it in their own bottling. Is it because Cadenheads will pay more?

You beautiful malt monster! Made me have a good laugh at the end! 😂😂😂 Cheers and the best! 🥃🥃
Waiting for this scotch to come to the States👍🏻
I have only one question....what about the barley tweet bunnit!!!! :D :D :D.....anyways, a great review again.
. . . awaiting delivery to the woolen mill from the hatters in England.
Cadenhead is Scottish for "over my budget".
Cadenhead's gives some of the best value for money bottlings in Scotland. This 24yo single cask was £84.00.

Just got you comment John , can't believe it..a Ralfy Malt mention!!! My life is complete.
Thanks John.
Gregg.
It's not known and popular but its prices are not so modest.
This bottling was £84.00 for a single cask 24yo?
