(a year later and i still have never beat spiral abyss before)
my only level 90 character is eula (shes the goat) but is she viable in the genshin spiral abyss?

The fact he used xiangling with eula and raiden with ganyu is pretty funny
here are a few tips which you might find helpful:
stay on raiden after bursting since the way she restores energy for your team is dependent on how many slashes of her burst you hit during it so when you switch off not only are you reducing the amount of damage she does with her burst by a pretty good amount ( not most bc the initial slash does most of the burst's damage) but your also not getting the only utility she is kind of unique for the way you are using her is basically like a worse fishcl.(of course none of this applies if you are using an EM raiden and using her just to trigger hyperblooms)
you really want a healer on teams that have furina, her burst is the main factor why she is so good(alongside her very high damage of course but even that is getting chunked down when you don't have a healer) the way it works is that it gives a HUGE damage bonus buff to your whole team including herself based on how much your hp fluctuates while it is active so without a good healer your hp would just be stuck at 50% which not only means her burst literally does nothing and you don't get that huge dmg bonus but it also means you are WAY squishier team wide healers are a lot easier to use on her teams like jean but even healers who can only heal the active team member like bennet work fine as long as you switch often through your team to spread the healing
and i also wanted to recommend some teams for you based on your current built characters
hu tao furina xingqiu/yelan and jean
raiden furina xingiu/yelan/fishcl and jean
xingiu yelan furina and jean
raiden national ( raiden xiangling bennet and xingqiu/yelan)
ganyu reverse melt (ganyu xiangling bennet and zhongli)
hu tao xinqiu yelan and zhongli
i don't know a lot about eula teams but i know these two teams are alright at least:
eula fishcl cryo flex(diona, rosaria, shenhe) bennet
eula raiden bennet and zhongli (which you did use in this video)
and ofc there are a lot of other teams that you can run especially if you level up some more of your characters a huge part of that is thanks to the furina jean team core which you can basically run anything with. i hope this was helpful and wasn't too long or annoying lol

and a xingqiu, furina, Hu tao, Jean team sounds good!
I recommend for hutao getting her to around 30-35k hp for 'fully built' damage numbers, typically the means running her with an hp sands. (because if you look at her scaling, all her damage is from hp)
this wasnt annoying at all ! i like reading advice just as long as it isn't too mean haha. i def will have to combo jean and furina more often and ill be sure to use raiden more effectively in the future (i had no idea thats how her kit worked, i assumed she was more of an off-field dps)

Yeah, also Furina loses out on a lot of her personal damage too because her summons deal more damage for each character that is above 50%. Since they get a damage bonus for taking your teams HP but can't do this once your teammates are at 50% you really want a team wide healer.
You might wanna reread some of your characters abilities and passives if you wanna how to play more character right! The open world is easy tho so don't worry too much about it there.
For eula teams, I would recommend Eula/Cryo Unit/Raiden/Zhongli - Raiden provides energy, burst damage, and superconduct that eula desperately craves
for eula i either do
eula raiden furina mika/charlotte
or hyperbloom ☠️ with em raiden, furina, dendro healer

Okay so a little tip, is to put furina and jean in the same team! Because as you’ve seen she drains hp quite a lot, and jeans ult (her q) restores quite a lot of hp!
If you want Jean to heal more just put atk percent heavy pieces! And level her ult talent.
For a rotation use furinas Q then e, then go to sub dps off field characters, the once the hp is a bit more low, use jeans ult and switch to you’re main dps.
Make sure you finish your hole rotation before the bubbles on the sides disappear.
( if you want more information, furinas Q buffs damage, and the more the hp changes, either up or down, it buffs the damage even more. And the bubbles on the side of the screen mean her Q is still active!)

@@ImAlmostJR leveling up jeans burst healing talent gives more healing than optimizing artifacts, the base healing you get is already enough for furina even without artifacts (but you need a lot of energy recharge on jean)
yeah also healing bonus is better for her to heal a lot than stacking attack

* When jump cancelling with Hu Tao, don't jump forward. Jump in place. So let go of the W key. The small bunny hop is faster. Sometimes it's worth to angle jump for positioning, but most of the time you were jumping OUT of position.
* With Yelan skill, you can hit E to end it early. You were wasting some time running round waiting for the skill's whole duration after you had already tagged everyone nearby. Just end the skill early and get to DPSing!
The first boss in chamber 12 has physical resistance...

One thing you had to remember when fighting the Mechanical enemies is that they're resistant to Physical, so Eula was a bad match up for that chamber. 😅
Furina needs everyone to be 50% HP above so her Salon Solitaire members will hit deal 40% more damage. Thus, her team needs an AoE healer for her personal damage as well as ramping the Fanfares to max more easily.
First time i stumble upon your channel the video was really fun! I'm seeing people give some tips in the comments already but i wanted to give some advice I saw helped me 36 abyss (so far i have only managed to 36 3-4 times? but still one step at a time!)
-Prioritize teams you want, pick a few favorite characters a build a team around them for example I can see you like Eula so build characters around your Eula! Eula+Raiden is very good combo because they can trigger super conduct together and that reaction helps you do more physical dmg!
-Don't go straight to artifacts prioritize levels and talents. Talents give you a lot of dmg without the element of RNG and leveling up characters to 80, or 90 gives them a big boost as well. (I would say dps characters for your teams should get to lvl 90 and then keep your supports at 80 so you don't get overwhelmed for a start)
-Be careful with enemies and what their resistant to! for the first half of the video on abyss 12 you used Eula on the chambers of the abyss where all the enemies had physical resistance that's why you were doing less damage.
-General tip for Furina is to always pair her with a healer so you get max damage buff from her, she drains your hp with her skill and during her burst any time your hp increases or decreases she gives you more stacks on the buff she provides.
-The most important thing is you should play with characters you like and have fun with it! building a team around a character you love can be very satisfying and seeing them do well will make you feel accomplished. Sadly genshin in game doesn't teach you team building very well for content like the abyss, so you will probably have to resort to looking up a few things online or ask a friend for help!

I've never been able to 36 abyss ;-; Closest I've gotten is 33 stars in the current abyss, but I can't do enough damage to those stupid bosses that spend time underground

I already saw a comment covering most of what i wanted to say but I'll add one thing and its that bennet and yelan don't work together since bennet give attack but yelan is a fully hp based character
Talent levels are in general more important than artifacts. You will get a much bigger immediate return on investment leveling your characters Talents to *minimum* 6 but preferably higher. Farming artifacts to try to get slightly better stats is basically the last thing you should worry about because of the randomness involved. You can easily get away with just using artifacts with only the correct main stat while ignoring the substats while you focus on other ways to boost your characters strength.

My first tip is to level characters that scale with hp (like Yelan and Furina) to 90. Second would be building a dendr character. You already have your free Dendro MC and Collei, who are fine in right teams, but i would suggest to try to pull for Nahida or, if you saving for someone else, pick up Yaoyao from lantern rite. She's a very good dendro healer and can fit in most dendro teams. I would go for something like Yaoyao, Yelan, Raiden and a flex dendro slot. You'd have to build Raiden full em and get her to 90, because most of your damage will come from hyperbloom and it scales heavily from character level. Farming for that team is very resin efficient, because dendro set is in the same domain as an EM set for Raiden.

since the 4.4 abyss is now out, using furina on the second half of floor 12 is amazing since her pets can target those stupid worms’ (we nut and ruin serpent) weak spots automatically and can track them when they go underground
When you put down zhonglis pillar on a boss, it gets destroyed, so as a tip aim it slightly further next time
(I don’t have zhongli I don’t know for sure if it works like that but I’m like 90% sure it’s like that)

A bit of a team suggestions
First half for the run to get the the finish it Raiden, Eula, Jean, Zhongli
And then second half Hu Tao, Farina, Bennett, Yelon because for Farina's burst buff it requires healing to build the fanfare.
And then go back in swapping the teams cuz perpetual mechanical array has a hefty physical resistance but Eula is a better against mobs than Hu Tao
The only thing i didn't see here in the comments that i would like to point out is to pay attention to wich stat each character scales of, for example yelan scales off of HP so it's not effective to use her with characters that boost ATK, Bennet for example. Raiden scales with energy recharge and ATK, Furina with HP, some of the Geo units scale with defense, Jean heals more based on her ATK and healing bonus, so on and so forth. Sorry for my english, not my first language. Hope i could be helpful. For the editing and charisma, +1 sub!

Ik you haven't played in a year but I feel like you could make easy improvements if you just switched around your teams because the characters you put together don't have good synergy. Eula works much better with Raiden as does Furina with Jean. The team you used with Furina didn't really make any sense because she requires a healer on her team to function and Jean is one of the best healers to use with her. Raiden also helps Eula a lot because of the superconduct and energy generation for Eula's burst. Raiden national (Raiden, Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling) is also a good team and it seems you have all of those characters built. A lot of spiral abyss comes down to not only how strong your individual characters are but the synergies between characters and you do have characters that synergize well together but aren't putting them on the right teams

i see you ve already gotten a lot of tips that really help but i think the most important thing is leveling your characters instead of farming for artifacts so normally when you build a character go to level 80 upgrade their weapon to 90 level their best talents to 7 and then you can start farming artifacts as the levels increase the dmg a lot
I think it would have been a bit more easier if you made a team out of eula, furina, jean (flex slot) and either a hutao vape or raiden national on the other half. You get wayyy more stacks and a huge damage buff if you quickly heal after furina ult

I would recommed you to change teams and use: Hu Tao + Yelan + Furina + Jean and then Eula + Raiden + Zhongli + Bennett
I would say that you should farm the Emblem of Severed Fate since everyone likes that artifact set and then you can strongbox the bad artifacts for the crimson set

you know what's funny... level 90 raiden, give her a leveled dragons bane, you don't care about the sub stats except for EM, just prioritize having EM mainstat on sands, goblet and circlet. Use dendro traveler (DMC for short - dendro main character) get his C2, farm for a 4pc deepwood set. use yelan or xingqiu or both. (since there's no healer here, i would suggest using zhongli + xingqiu for the last 2 slots, but if you're brave use the double hydro)
... *it would unironically deal more damage than your Eula* . (though if you have kuki... replace raiden with her, and you can play hyperfridge Eula its technically her best "f2p" team, thats how good hyperbloom is)
i would also suggest just ditching building hutao, and just focus on xiangling... this is cause xiangling at C4 just deals more damage than hutao at c0 especially at that level of investment.
(sample teams - Bennett, Xiangling, Fischl, Furina - Bennett, Xiangling, Heizou/(Sucrose if you have), Furina - Bennett, Xiangling, Jean, Furina)

- Fav sword on DMC + ER Sands.
- ER sands on Bennett and give the Aquila Favonia to Bennett.
- Fav sword on Jean er-atk-atk or er-atk-crt or atk-atk-crt mainstats (ER is the best stat in genshin until its not, prioritize getting back their bursts before their cooldown. once you can burst every rotation, then you can focus on the other stats).
- Fav sword on Furina or if you have festering, use that sword on her. if you dont have either cause other units are already using your fav swords, get ready to fish for the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman 😂.
- Fav bow on Yelan or ER sands... prioritize getting her burst back on cooldown
- .... Fav lance on Zhongli (i think you're getting the point here, ER is so important 😂 and yes the fav series are secretly 5 star weapons cause of this fact since its not only energy for the character equipping it, but the particles it generates also gives energy for the team - its like having raiden without actually having raiden in the team)
ending thoughts/explanations:
- The reason why i suggested raiden hyperbloom rather than her traditional build is cause raiden REALLY needs a lot of vertical investment in order for her to equal the damage of her hyperbloom teams. i'm talking C2 raiden or Pulling her signature weapon and having 35-50 CV's in her artifacts. While hyperbloom raiden you only really need her to be lvl 90, EM mainstat pieces and EM rolls on flower and feather. If you can pull for nahida, it would actually add so much value to your account, nahida is one of the best characters in the game especially if you're low investment.
- At the end of the day, we are playing this game for fun. pull the characters you want to pull and use/build the characters you want to use/build. No one is pressuring you to play the game how other's want to play it since its your playthrough and your account.

Talents are a guaranteed increase of damage. Artifacts are a gamble. Use fragile resin where you know for a fact that you’re getting something useful back (talents, level, ascensions, etc)

All you need to do is farm a bit more to improve your characters strength and get a more game knowledge. That you actually know how your characters work and how to best counter certain enemies!

As a loyal hu tao main, when you showed her artifacts I literally lost 10 years of my life span
idea on the video seeing that you still dont understand how HU TAO works , i think you should watch a how to character build video and follow the instructions on video , dont build for meta but build them how they should be built , i think that would be a fun video for the next spiral abbys video ,..

next time use eula with raiden because it causes superconduct which decreases the enemies physical res and is very good for eula
you can also use mona with noblesse than use xiangling cause xiangling is only for sub dps and pyro applicator
Lul if you thought this abyss was bad you will hate the current rotation. This previous abyss was the easiest the game has had in quite a while.
I love Eula but truth is she needs very high investment to make her good enough to barely work in abyss she's slow, needs to dodge too much if u don't bring a shielder, enemies often dodge ult, ult ofen doesn't crit even with 80%+ crit, her clear speed is kinda slow, tons of enemies have lots of phys resist, energy problems even with battery units, list goes on. She has many issues and there's much better options to bring in abyss that's just how it is. But overall u did well i enjoyed the vid👏👏
If i have to recommend team for the floor 12 it would be
Furina jean xaingling Bennett
That team work well just try to get back energy with Bennett for xaingling.
Eula raiden yelan zhongli
I think it is like old team.
Also use eula brust furst before raiden cus raiden brust restore Energy.
Also I'm not trying to be mean but plz use auto after raiden brust she get infusion for 7s and she restore energy of the whole team during that. It is hurting my soul that you swap after the brust TwT
Also you can use yelan skill again to get out of the sprint stage you don't need to wait for thw whole duration. After it tie the enemies just use skill again

I am a fairly new pleyer btw
Its usually called Sunfire, the main feature of it being that Jean and Bennet are on the same team and have their burst radius' overlap each other. The way their bursts work makes it so Bennet is constantly applying pyro while jean is constantly swirling/cleansing it which gives it its signature 'sunfire' look when its reacting
Spending your fragile resin on artifacts can be a waste since you might not good anything good, if you wanna guarantee and upgrade you can upgrade talents, levels, or weapons but thats on you to decide

Why are u switching off of raiden when using her burst to do NAs with yelan? Raiden would do more damage and refund energy while driving yelans ult
nice try really especially considering that your characters aren't all at 90 have average artifacts .
If i may give you some advices , that would be
- level up all your abyss fighters to 90,that s the easiest , every dps bit counts.
-Get decent to good artifacts , choose them wisely in relation to what your characters really need to kick bottoms.Pretty time consumming though.
-Depending on what are the ennemies dont hésitate to use different teams for the 12th floor to get the best synergy between them ( 9-10 and 11 are usually no problem). For example you can use a particular team for 12-1 and 12-3 and another one for 12-2 , or a specific team for each floor. Its really hard to beat all 12th floors with only one team.
