Thanks, Melissa for again covering the parameters of what women our age go through. Menopause is no joke. I've been in that state since I was in my 40's and I still get hot flashes and all the other fun stuff that comes with it. I'm now postmenopausal and it's not great. My doctor is not the greatest on this matter. I thank you for having Dr. Ryan educate us.
Yes, some doctors can be quite unconcerned or detached regarding menopause symptoms. I believe my doctors are treating the symptoms but are not paying attention to my actual menopause journey. This is why I'm listening to Melissa and Dr. Ryan.
That's EXACTLY how I felt at 44 - a switch went off - when I started getting horrendous night sweats, and noticing numerous minute changes in my appearance and body daily. Took me a while to realise what was going on. It was a very distressing period.
Loved this vlog! I am changing careers in this half of my life! Going to do work that brings me joy. I love the Dr’s positive perspective on life!Thank you both for saying yes to your calling! I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Thank you so very much Melissa for inviting Dr. Ryan to share this much needed information. I wish all women that are going through this massive hormonal change could hear this! I will definitely be attending this workshop and spreading the word to those I know who could benefit from it!
Love Dr Ryan’s mindset about living your best life and your own life, not others’. So true. Must keep that in mind when i think about ageing and it makes me feel a bit down.
I am struggling so much with insomnia and stress which is impacting me massively. I have been peri menopausal since 31 and now at 42 realising how unkind I am being to myself. The Chinese organ chart is very interesting & will try l-thenania- thank you so much x
Melissa thanks so much for having Dr Ryan discuss this important information. It is so important for women to know what’s happening with our bodies. Like Dr Ryan said 40s and 50s is the second half of the game Own it!🙌
I love that you interviewed her! Women need to hear that and Embrace this special time to reset! Totally agree as I am Post menopausal and have experienced and embraced this belief! Thank you for all the tips! Love all you bring Melissa!
Hi Melissa thank you for covering these areas, I am in my 60’s and have low energy, need to find a good weight loss program, I do believe I have a thyroid problem, I don’t know when menopause is over what age , I am a carb person and that not the best thing , HELP 🌺
Hi Melissa.. Thank you so much for this..I love you channel and vibes I needed to hear this..Thank you Dr Natasha for all your great advice .. I can't sleep haven't been sleeping for the last two years..I'm in bed but just can't fall asleep...

I really need this information I'm struggling to get a hold on my hormonal imbalance. I'm on creams progesterone & estrogen, I've noticed a difference for the better but not a significant difference. I'm working with compound lab & ZRT labs ...I'm also breaking out from the creams they've tried so many base creams but nothing helps. Thanks for sharing. I definitely need to talk with Dr Natasha Ryan or see who she can refer me to.
The food sensitivity discussed was a ah-ha moment for me. I love cheese & peanuts but the hot flashes & night sweats are unbearable when I eat those foods 😒. Much needed discussion
Thank you for this video! I just found your channel a couple of days ago. I’m in peri menopausal so Dr. Ryan’s information is very enlightening and helpful. I’m taking your advice about the strength training as I’m an advid cardio exerciser with strength training about two to three days a week. I’ve subscribed to your channel and look forward to learning a lot more.
Yes, There is a fat girl gremlin hormone that comes out after 8pm craving sugar and carbs 😭 I'm good during the day then all over a sudden can't stop eating and snacking ..never had a belly and starting to get one 😭
This is so great fab interview very professional. Dr soooo great thanks. Sleep tips, guided meditation the talking stops your Brain chatter. Blue light on phone 2 hours before bed. Small fan so good. Tracking your sleep on a fitbit.
this was very informative. sounds like i need to see a doctor that specializes in functional medicine. the only time i have hot flashes if i have been eating too much salty foods. my skin has become drier and i drink plenty of water.
Hi this was a good discussion, I think she needed to explain the difference between bio identical and body identical HRT, here in the UK most of menopause specialists recommend body identical HRT through the skin if possible as it is really low risk and has a lot of benefits.
The link will go up in the next few days to the workshop. Take Dr Ryan's Hormone quiz by going to www.drryanhormonequiz.com or find Dr Ryan on Facebook here: m.facebook.com/Dr-Natasha-Ryan-236309217619336/ ▼
OMG I am just getting to watch this.. I wish she could tell me what is happening when my arms are large and flabby. I heard that was related to hormones but don't no what to do about it...even lifting doesn't make them go down :-(

I am 47 year old. I started resistance training and counting my macros of 120P, 110C and 45F. I have only lost 3 pounds. It has been 1 month and nothing lost. I am in perimenopause. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. :)
@@MelissaNeill Absolutely. I went from a size 12 to in between a 6 and 8 American size but the scale says I only lost 10lbs. The scale is not an indicator of progress. I'm also 47.
Hello. I’ve been on HRT for over 20 years. I’m now approaching 69 and think I might like to come off. Mainly because of the estrogen and breast cancer link. I’ve tried to come off twice before by going cold turkey. NOT a good way to do it. Could you please advise if I should come off and if so HOW? I’m extremely fit, I’m Vegan and very “ clean “ with my diet/lifestyle. Thankyou so much.
Read the book Oestrogen matters by Dr Avrum Bluming and have a look at the website The Menopause Doctor (Dr Louise Newson) for all the current research and discussions on HRT. The benefits of being on HRT (plus the great lifestyle that you follow) outweigh the risks. I intend to take it for the rest of my life.
Breast cancer link is really low ( unless you have breast cancer gene/fam hx) compared to the other risks with out it. Check out dr newson on UA-cam - she explains why.
On the website of The Menopause Charity in the UK they confirm that HRT is no longer equine in origin, but sourced from the root vegetable yam. This may differ in the USA.

Don't focus on scale weight focus on how your clothes fit and your measurements. Scale weight is meaningless if you are putting on muscle.

How do we contact the doctor?
Hi Melissa! Do you know of anyone who could speak on your channel about medical menopause? Menopause as a result of hysterectomy
On the website of The Menopause Charity in the UK they confirm that HRT is no longer equine in origin, but sourced from the root vegetable yam. This may differ in the USA.
Doesn't menopause impact one's thyroid?
How much protein should a woman 66 consume daily for weight loss?
1g of protein for every lb in your body weight. Or if you're over 170, shoot for your goal body weight.
