It's kinda sad that there are so many casinos nearby competing with Atlantic City. The boardwalk and ocean used to be exciting, though it is winter. Thank you for the views!
I'm 71 and spent two months every summer till I was 15 with my grandparents who lived on States Ave, Oriental and finally Virginia Ave. the state of the town is very depressing now but in it's day it was wonderful.
I’ve never been to Atlantic City before but I wish to go there when I’m 21 or older so that I could visit the casinos that they have there in the boardwalk.
Omg! The arcade takes me back to the 90s as a kid going to AC with my parents. Loved seeing those retro games…so weird saying retro, I was born in ‘83, I don’t feel that old lol…anywho, great vid man!
It's so cool to see what casinos are left on the Boardwalk. It looks totally different than back in the day. I was cracking up with your pop-up messages about your lost keys when you were at Resorts. 😅 Way back in the day, senior citizens use to take the bus to A.C. and usually went to Resorts. They use to give them a voucher for something like $25 in chips and a voucher for money off their food buffet. Actually, it was a pretty good deal. Elvis's car was absolutely GORGEOUS. Great video!
Thanks so much for the comment Patty. I remember I took the bus one time to Showboat for A bachelor party with friends. We got a free buffet and a slot voucher. That was one of the worst buffets ever had.

I remember that ferris wheel in the bumper cars and that roller coaster I remember them well the ferris wheel was fastened to the wall and you walked right underneath it when you walk in through the doors

Germ, I remember Tivoli Pier well.... We lived about an hour north of atlantic city so my parents brought us to Atlantic City a few times a year. I definitely remember the Ferris Wheel and the small roller coaster. The shuttle simulator I don't remember. My parents used to let us roam free in there while they were in the casino. Its sad but there is next to nothing on the internet about it. very little reference and next to zero pictures or videos
Yep, I remember Tivoli Pier and TropWorld too. There was also a 2nd Ballys property The Bally's Grand hotel casino. Before Bally's it was the original location of the Golden Nugget before the GN left AC and came back in 2011. it turned into The Grand and Ramada owned it eventually it became the Hilton. Trump Plaza was demolished because after Trump sold it and after it eventually closed, it wasn't kept up and became an eyesore. More importantly, the building was slowly. decaying and bricks were falling off the building onto the Boardwalk.. They closed half of the Boardwalk and eventually decided to demolish the building.

Remember the Warner Brothers store? BALLY'S is where my purse was stolen. I still love Harrah's and their buffet. haven't been there in years but, I think sometime this year I am going to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. I can't believe the prices of parking that you said were $25.00, thats ridiculous. You forgot to mention Sands and Claridge Hotels. Sands had one of the best buffets back in the day. I guess they are torn down because you would have passed them on your walk.
Harrahs Water Front buffet is also now gone. I think the only buffet left is Hard Rock. I ate there it was just ok. Sands closed over 10 years ago and The Claridge no lager has a casino.
Golden nugget has free parking. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I never got the chance to visit trump castle, but I heard trump castle also had free parking. If that's true that's pretty cool that Golden Nugget honored it after they bought the casino

Caesars was always my favorite casino, won over 7000 dollars one day. I thought they had the best food. Bus trips from Pa. saved a lot of gas. You could even charter a jet until it crashed, sadly with Revel executives. With gas prices of today, it will need more incentives to get me back.
@ THE GERM.....Wild Wild West is actually Caesars Wild Wild West now that Ceasars sold Bally's. If you go there on Th-Sat it's a big party (especially in summertime) later at night, and that is why there is so much space on the floor. They also have beer pong competitions. They tore down Trump Plaza because it was falling apart, and pieces started falling down on the ground around it. The former owner was a slum lord and left it decay while still operating. Lots of o-fun things to do still in A.C. and soon to be $100,000,000 indoor waterpark at showboat.
@@jackwilliams5474 Its going to be an addition. The owner Bart Blatstein bought all the surrounding lots, and this will connect to the arcade I believe. I saw some of the construction at the end of the summer. It will be on the side in between Showboat and Oceans. Can't wait. Hope he still opens a new casino as well.

Hi, I'm a new subscriber. Cool video! I have very fond memories of having fun at The Tivoli Pier. My favorite ride there was the one that played the music "On the Boardwalk in Atlantic City" and showed holographic images. The Ferris Wheel and bumper cars were awesome too and I also enjoyed the fun house with the crazy mirrors and a thing that made it look like you were flying on a magic carpet. Debris was falling off the Trump Plaza and landing on the boardwalk. No one was injured, but someone could have been hit and died. That is why they tore it down.
Loved the video! Tivoli Pier was closed in 1995. Living in Philly all of my life we always use to go to AC. It's changed so much. And I believe that it's going down essentially Philly opening up casino's themselves. I believe that they should overhaul the boardwalk and make it a vacation spot like wildwood. 3 casinos on the boardwalk and 2 at the marina. Thats all they need. 9 is too many. Also build one giant bondfire in the middle of the boardwalk in the winter so the bums and homeless can keep warm and roast marshmallows.

The online plus neighboring gambling keeping people from filling the casinos, more on the boardwalk, marina doing better. They'll come down in the summer and get a good crowd. Showboat doing a nice job with arcade and indoor water park. We shall see. Thanks for the company. I'll be down there soon.
lol, you still said oceans!!!.. anyhow, if you go to golden nugget, parking is free!!!!! you can walk to harrahs from golden nugget because they have a very nice sidewalk from the nugget to harrahs!!!!its only a 10 minute walk to harrahs which by the way does charge for parking!! So park at golden nugget, and also gamble there too, it has the best slots in ac!! The golden nugget rules!! So if you want to do those casinos, park at the nugget bro!! cheers man!!
You can thank the neighboring greedy states, PA & MD for legalizing their own gambling. Esp. PA as Philly was their largest market. Showboat was my fav place to stay in the 90's as it was connected inside with the Taj & Resorts so you didn't have to go outside to go next door. Even with my measly Points I always got good midweek rates for the Bourbon Tower in front with an ocean view. I was sorry to see it closed and with the contract that it could Never reopen as a casino. I guess Harrah's Corp wanted to ensure there wouldn't be any new competitors to their remaining properties.

When the Taj was falling apart The Don stepped in and finished
building it and it became the most prosperous.
Went to Resorts many times and stayed at the El Greco across the street for I wanna say $15 bucks. Late 70's if i can recall.

The Simpson Pinball machine is a great machine. They are due for a new version. There have been so many updates and changes in pinball.

Typically I walk upto tables where there’s no players but dealer just sitting and ask them to buy a souvenir one dollar chip

At any table game. Go to a table and ask to purchase a chip. Go to tables with no players.
