I feel like Gao is the most misunderstood character. He is not obsessed with beating Li Xun... him quiting after blue crown is the best example. He just doesn’t like the constant comparison and wants to build his career on his own. He tried connecting with other students only to be used for their interest in Li Xun. He worked hard and made it in the competition only for Zhu Yun to randomly insert herself and basically implied that he doesn’t have a chance without Li Xun. Who wouldn’t be upset after all of that? Now him sharing the blue crown code is his mistake but I think the overall hate towards him is unfair.

okay but everyone is blaming zhu yun for getting the others involved in her revenge but is no one acknowledging how her friend died unfairly because of him, it's only natural of her to avenge her. Eietherway, none of them would have known what happens later in the future and probably thought nothing of it at the time.
Guys here's some free advice......in this world their will always be someone smarter,prettier,more handsome,more talented and better than you at a lot of things but you should always remember the only person you should compete with is the you from yesterday otherwise you will be caught up in an endless cycle of torment and self hate it's not worth it.............oh and their's always one thing that you are better at than that person take sports for example if Li xun decided to Join sports Lao gao would be better than him
I can already see the bad Gao, what an envious person he is. Li xun and Zhu yun are also at fault because they shouldn't have just taken over Gao's project like that. Specially Zhu yun who only wanted revenge and did not consider how it would affect Gao's and Li xun 's relationship. I just don't want to see li xun go to jail 😭💔
Technically speaking they didn't steal his project because he had already deleted it they were the one who rewrited it they only used is idea and I honestly don't like how they treat him because that's why he is turning bad
I don't think he's overly envious. He's always been a team member that was constantly pushed aside by Li Xun. He's not trying to put anyone down to win, he just wants to be acknowledged of his hard work which no one seems to do. He knows that Li Xun is smarter, but he doesn't like to be compared and I think that's fair. Up til this point, he has been super patient given his circumstances. His work is constantly being criticized harshly and outright replaced with no communication. Li Xun might be pretty and smart but in reality, he would be a complete nightmare to work with given his outright "I am better than you" attitude and lack of empathy... That type of behavour is so demoralizing and toxic. And it's unfortunate that even after quitting Li Xun's team, his name is still brought up everywhere. I don't think he's done anything wrong up to this point.
@@ciarrarussell7037 Gao's project was doomed for failure and Zhu Yun did ask his opinion on asking Li Xun to join them. He told her to do what ever she wants in a jealous angry state of mind. When he consulted the Professor about his ability to win the competition,he told him gently that he's not ready yet. That's why he deleted the buggy program. Gao was always a superficial person 🙄 there's good and evil inside all of us. So how you are treated cannot make you bad, that's the path you choose to follow, to justify your feelings of injustice.

This time the conflict between Gao and Li Xun was initiated by Zhu Yun. It was Gao who worked hard to participate in the project, and even getting to the finals on his own. Then Zhu Yun decides to hijack it and make his entry in the competition a tool for her personal revenge. I can't justify the leads in this situation, Gao should have just said both of them to get lost and tried on his own to reach as far as he can, it would have been better for him.
Being fair to Gao, when Li xun gave away their last project to save Zhu yun, he told Li it would be the last time. I see it for what it is... she's the reason for all of these mistakes. It wasn't her place to use Gao's project, for revenge or anything else. Her " princess" mentality is against everything they work so hard to get. If you want what is best for everyone, see the bigger picture. Just saying.

This drama is so well written every character has it's own flaws. They are showing the real life thing. Everyone isn't perfect. They have their own flaws and this drama is showing the reality. Hats off to writers And NOTE IF HE DOESN'T MAKE BED FOR ME LIKE THAT I AM NOT MARRYING HIM But I've noticed something it's always Zhu yun who makes the first move like yeah you do it when you're in love but still you can't do it always it's gonna hurt you at some point

Though i'll admit that Li Xun's method of pointing out mistakes is harsh, it's also the truth. from ep 1 Gao hasn't learned his lesson. for the blue crown project pitch he was ready to ditch Li Xun behind even though Li Xun was the one who got the project, even though he saved him from getting humiliated on stage, gao chose to blame Li Xun for it. when it was his own impatience and his own cheating that made him delete the navigation bar at the last minute. the thing with gao is he wants to be the best without admitting his faults. sure there is nothing wrong with wanting to succeed and wanting to call something your own but if you just keep on getting jealous of other people's abilities you'll never move ahead. li xun is a genius in computer programming but sucks at sports you don't see him constantly getting jealous of Gao even though he plays good basketball or of that volleyball guy either. he's arrogant but he knows his strength and weakness. he might have natural born talent but we know he works hard day and night to be where he is now, gao just doesn't want to admit that someone is better than him. in this situation i might admit that it was wrong of Zhu Yun to just butt into this project and drag in Li Xun as well just for her own personal revenge without actually informing them of her real reason of joining the competition, but Gao is acting like a 5 yo as well, why wouldn't you want the strongest person on your team just because you're jealous. He's acting like he never approved of Zhu Yun joining and like Zhu Yun never mentioned about asking Li Xun to join either when he himself explicitly said go ask him yourself if you want. Li Xun might have been harsh in saying that your programs is full of loopholes but it was just a fact. they aren't kids who need to be placated and coaxed into understanding their mistakes. they are grown adults who are supposed to survive in a competitive world, and li xun was making him understand once again that his project was built on a weak base and would not survive long term.

the problem with Gao is he always compares himself with LiXun, and it's a natural thing for humans to go into hell the moment when he does this. cuz you should focus on only yourself, you should focus on the way to surpass your past record.
I feel like somehow Gao is the most misunderstood person in the whole story. He's just trying to make a name for himself where people appreciate him for his talent. He never wanted to compete with LiXun in the first place. The pain in his eyes when he deleted his own code just cause Zhu Yun and Li Xun will ultimately team up and exactly command him to do the same is so painful to watch. Being a programmer, it hurts even worse.
You said Gai didn't want to compete with Li xun. But form the starting he said he wanted to compete with Li xun. He said he used to be first place from beginning but now he can't just accept the fact someone is superior than him. He can make his own name just like his teacher said but first thing is to learn properly. .Here I think the character of li xun is more realistic.

Gao has mentioned that he used to be the best at everything before uni, and before meeting LX. his pride has been taking hits and i understand that LX could've been kinder w his words. But at the start of their Blue Crown project, he did try to explain to both Gao and ZY that the code needs to be rewritten but they were adamant about not changing it. Then he took his own way and did things without telling them, which tbf is justified. Gao is misunderstood at the beginning, but right now, if he individually wanted to do something he really shouldm't have taken Zhu Yun as a member or LX, its his call and he agreed 🥴
I feel so bad for Gao. He has problems too, but just put yourself in his shoes for a moment. He constantly works hard but is reagularly mocked, belittled, and insulted by Li Xun for not being as good as him. He finally branched out to do something on his own, but is constantly compared to Li Xun, put down by others, and now his project is taken over. Zhu Yun bothers me the most rn. She joined Gao under the guise of kindness/ wanting to help him win, when she just wants to win first place for personal reasons. She only went to Gao after Li Xun refused. It didn't matter to her who she works with (Li Xun or Gao) as long as she achieves her goal. While she has a very valid reason to desire winning, she's doing it at the expense of Gao. Li Xun only joined to help her. I do acknowledge that Gao has issues like jealousy, and he's way too obsessed with winning. I'm not excusing his betrayl either. Also, he could have refused them joining, but it's very hard to refuse when pressured by his peers and especially by the professor. Now Gao is only the leader in name and he's still getting belittled by Li Xun. Li Xun has very valid criticism, but his delivery sucks and he has no teamwork skills. He acts like a dictator, only giving out orders and ignores opinions (except for Zhu Yun). I still love the show and romance, but I can't stand how Gao is demonized and the leads are considered blameless. - Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk (rant) lol ;) TLDR: Gao, Li Xun, and Zhu Yun all have problems they need to work on, not just Gao.

Li xun immediately told her to write down on paper for proof and HE KEPT THAT SMALL PAPER IN HIS NOTEBOOK AND RETURNED HER BANK CARD HE DIDN'T EVER WANT MONEY FROM HER this shows how much Li xun trust Zhu yun and vice versa
Gao refuses to learn but still I understand him. He identifies himself through grades and position. For a person who has been first always, this is a difficult situation to process. He just needs some validation for his skills. Still, he shouldn't be so stubborn.

This drama is interesting to watch since it has a unique storyline and isn't cringe like some other dramas! All the cast looks handsome and cute! The MCs have a good chemistry too! The drama indeed has a meaningful name! As someone commented, out of all the C-dramas I watched till now, I have never seen any eyes as expressive as Chen 's, playing the role of Xun. Love the opening and the ending song! I noticed the lyrics of the opening song, after someone commented that the lyrics are kinda like Xun's thoughts and it's indeed true! In the ending song, one of the lyrics is 'we won't break up', which makes me relieved that they will be back together once again, even though what happened in the first episode. The OSTs has a good tune as well! It's played at the perfect scenes, because of which we get goosebumps! Xun staring/smiling at Yun is everything! As someone commented before, Xun' s confident walk is priceless! Love how she affects him! Hope that after all the hardships he suffered, he'll get a happy ending unlike the first episode. As someone commented, this drama is more realistic because of the fact that there's no accidental kisses, which is usually seen in most Rom-com dramas. Felt bad for Gao. I guess his villain arc is starting to begin! I thought Zhizing is Shumaio 's brother or something, since their first name is the same and they both look kinda similar and even wears glasses too. Hope he'll be punished for what he has done! Poor Xiaoyan! My dirty mind popped up when Yun gave the note to Xun! Didn't expect Xu to have this sort of behaviour. The last scene gave me goosebumps!

It's okay to feel how Gao is feeling now. Any normal person will feel it if he goes through such thing. Li xun is not that great at expressing his thoughts. He just focuses on the goal. So those who are working with him will definitely feel insecure, smaller in comarison with him. It will give birth to envy. But gao here is not envious. He just want to do something of his own. Still now gao isn't at fault. I don't know about future. If gao plays dirty in future, l won't support him cause li xun never ever played dirty. He just thought about achieving his goal and if he knows how he can achieve the goal, why would he follow a way which has lackings to grab the goal? Li xun could have established a communication between him and gao. Then so many misunderstandings wouldn't happen.
Honestly the feelings must be so over whelming for gao.. if I was in his shoes as a person that I am..as I don't really like hurting people,I would really try to plead with Mr Lin until he listens that I don't want to have anything to do with lixun at all that it would really be a big help to prevent future disasters.
It's a world where even a student can teach a teacher talk more of this...in life we must be willing to listen to help and not make the mistake of taking it as the other party arrogance and let pride and be humble enough to want to learn along with much criticisms and maybe just maybe later in life we might better than our mentor .. good things doesn't come easy .
I understand where miss girl is coming from with wanting to win, but she had to have known Gao's reservations with Li Xun joining the team. That was insincere on her part, and Xun could have better asked to join their group. All in all the reasoning behind that win is valid, however they're hurting a friend and it doesn't seem like they even realize it.
The problem with gao is he himself. He has always been on top so coming 2nd to someone, knowing someone is actually better than him and acknowledging this is hard for him. That is why LX every action annoyed him because he thinks he is mocking him rather than trying to accept his own flaws he blame LX for his failure. In his mind it's like " i wouldn't lost, if he don't compete" rather than "i lost because I'm lacking"

I honestly feel bad fot Gao. He is a hardworker but people don't seem to notice him. I see why his character turned out to be a villian in the later part. Sometimes we are not bad from the begining but circumstances let us be. I actually relate to him cuz it happens with me too, I always help people and all but its not like I am the topper but I am just Good enough, I also don't seem to be noticed in peoples circle. But I always believe that whatever happens root for goodness and peace. His character teaches a lot.

I can already see the bad Gao, what an envious person he is. Li xun and Zhu yun are also at fault because they shouldn't have just taken over Gao's project like that. I don't think he's overly envious. He's always been a team member that was constantly pushed aside by Li Xun. He's not trying to put anyone down to win, he just wants to be acknowledged of his hard work which no one seems to do. He knows that Li Xun is smarter, but he doesn't like to be compared and I think that's fair. Up til this point, he has been super patient given his circumstances. His work is constantly being criticized harshly and outright replaced with no communication.
Li Xun might be pretty and smart but in reality, he would be a complete nightmare to work with given his outright "I am better than you" attitude and lack of empathy... That type of behavour is so demoralizing and toxic. And it's unfortunate that even after quitting Li Xun's team, his name is still brought up everywhere. I don't think he's done anything wrong up to this point.

When he consulted the Professor about his ability to win the competition,he told him gently that he's not ready yet. That's why he deleted the buggy program. Gao was always a superficial person 🙄 there's good and evil inside all of us. So how you are treated cannot make you bad, that's the path you choose to follow, to justify your feelings of injustice.

This time the conflict between Gao and Li Xun was initiated by Zhu Yun. It was Gao who worked hard to participate in the project, and even getting to the finals on his own. Then Zhu Yun decides to hijack it and make his entry in the competition a tool for her personal revenge. I can't justify the leads in this situation, Gao should have just said both of them to get lost and tried on his own to reach as far as he can, it would have been better for him.
Being fair to Gao, when Li xun gave away their last project to save Zhu yun, he told Li it would be the last time. I see it for what it is... she's the reason for all of these mistakes. It wasn't her place to use Gao's project, for revenge or anything else. Her " princess" mentality is against everything they work so hard to get. If you want what is best for everyone, see the bigger picture. Just saying.

Though i'll admit that Li Xun's method of pointing out mistakes is harsh, it's also the truth. from ep 1 Gao hasn't learned his lesson. for the blue crown project pitch he was ready to ditch Li Xun behind even though Li Xun was the one who got the project, even though he saved him from getting humiliated on stage, gao chose to blame Li Xun for it. when it was his own impatience and his own cheating that made him delete the navigation bar at the last minute. the thing with gao is he wants to be the best without admitting his faults. sure there is nothing wrong with wanting to succeed and wanting to call something your own but if you just keep on getting jealous of other people's abilities you'll never move ahead. li xun is a genius in computer programming but sucks at sports you don't see him constantly getting jealous of Gao even though he plays good basketball or of that volleyball guy either. he's arrogant but he knows his strength and weakness. he might have natural born talent but we know he works hard day and night to be where he is now, gao just doesn't want to admit that someone is better than him.
in this situation i might admit that it was wrong of Zhu Yun to just butt into this project and drag in Li Xun as well just for her own personal revenge without actually informing them of her real reason of joining the competition, but Gao is acting like a 5 yo as well, why wouldn't you want the strongest person on your team just because you're jealous. He's acting like he never approved of Zhu Yun joining and like Zhu Yun never mentioned about asking Li Xun to join either when he himself explicitly said go ask him yourself if you want.
Li Xun might have been harsh in saying that your programs is full of loopholes but it was just a fact. they aren't kids who need to be placated and coaxed into understanding their mistakes. they are grown adults who are supposed to survive in a competitive world, and li xun was making him understand once again that his project was built on a weak base and would not survive long term.

I feel like somehow Gao is the most misunderstood person in the whole story. He's just trying to make a name for himself where people appreciate him for his talent. He never wanted to compete with LiXun in the first place. The pain in his eyes when he deleted his own code just cause Zhu Yun and Li Xun will ultimately team up and exactly command him to do the same is so painful to watch. Being a programmer, it hurts even worse.

I feel so bad for Gao. He has problems too, but just put yourself in his shoes for a moment. He constantly works hard but is reagularly mocked, belittled, and insulted by Li Xun for not being as good as him. He finally branched out to do something on his own, but is constantly compared to Li Xun, put down by others, and now his project is taken over.
Zhu Yun bothers me the most rn. She joined Gao under the guise of kindness/ wanting to help him win, when she just wants to win first place for personal reasons. She only went to Gao after Li Xun refused. It didn't matter to her who she works with (Li Xun or Gao) as long as she achieves her goal. While she has a very valid reason to desire winning, she's doing it at the expense of Gao. Li Xun only joined to help her.
I do acknowledge that Gao has issues like jealousy, and he's way too obsessed with winning. I'm not excusing his betrayl either. Also, he could have refused them joining, but it's very hard to refuse when pressured by his peers and especially by the professor. Now Gao is only the leader in name and he's still getting belittled by Li Xun. Li Xun has very valid criticism, but his delivery sucks and he has no teamwork skills. He acts like a dictator, only giving out orders and ignores opinions (except for Zhu Yun). I still love the show and romance, but I can't stand how Gao is demonized and the leads are considered blameless.

This drama is interesting to watch since it has a unique storyline and isn't cringe like some other dramas! All the cast looks handsome and cute! The MCs have a good chemistry too! The drama indeed has a meaningful name! As someone commented, out of all the C-dramas I watched till now, I have never seen any eyes as expressive as Chen 's, playing the role of Xun. Love the opening and the ending song! I noticed the lyrics of the opening song, after someone commented that the lyrics are kinda like Xun's thoughts and it's indeed true! In the ending song, one of the lyrics is 'we won't break up', which makes me relieved that they will be back together once again, even though what happened in the first episode. The OSTs has a good tune as well! It's played at the perfect scenes, because of which we get goosebumps! Xun staring/smiling at Yun is everything! As someone commented before, Xun' s confident walk is priceless! Love how she affects him! Hope that after all the hardships he suffered, he'll get a happy ending unlike the first episode. As someone commented, this drama is more realistic because of the fact that there's no accidental kisses, which is usually seen in most Rom-com dramas. Felt bad for Gao. I guess his villain arc is starting to begin! I thought Zhizing is Shumaio 's brother or something, since their first name is the same and they both look kinda similar and even wears glasses too. Hope he'll be punished for what he has done! Poor Xiaoyan! My dirty mind popped up when Yun gave the note to Xun! Didn't expect Xu to have this sort of behaviour. The last scene gave me goosebumps!

It's okay to feel how Gao is feeling now. Any normal person will feel it if he goes through such thing. Li xun is not that great at expressing his thoughts. He just focuses on the goal. The problem with gao is he himself. He has always been on top so coming 2nd to someone, knowing someone is actually better than him and acknowledging this is hard for him. That is why LX every action annoyed him because he thinks he is mocking him rather than trying to accept his own flaws he blame LX for his failure. In his mind it's like " i wouldn't lost, if he don't compete" rather than "i lost because I'm lacking"

I honestly feel bad fot Gao. He is a hardworker but people don't seem to notice him. I see why his character turned out to be a villian in the later part. Sometimes we are not bad from the begining but circumstances let us be. I actually relate to him cuz it happens with me too, I always help people and all but its not like I am the topper but I am just Good enough, I also don't seem to be noticed in peoples circle. But I always believe that whatever happens root for goodness and peace. His character teaches a lot.
