@@HeyImSnappy Yes I do. I laser up every 20' or in between columns in big demising walls. The only time I don't is when I know I checked the wall we are going off , but even them we just quick put a line on it and check. Its just good practice and peace of mind!
@@ConstructionKronies man I’m so glad I live in the time of lasers lol, hearing old timers talk about using plumb bobs and stuff really makes me feel lucky
@@HeyImSnappy Yeah man me too. I see all kinds of guys still using levels too, I mean holy crap, 4' levels for 10' walls is so laughable. They are just cheap. But a laser!! Also I had a comment from an old timer once saying and I quote, "it would be nice to see you use a plumb bob" .... ahhhh haha!
Yes right on! I started carpentry and wood framing 30 years ago and metal 20 . I attached myself to knowledgeable journeymen and foremen that knew there stuff. Watch and practiced. Made a lot of mistakes but learned everytime. Now I know the best system and really the only system to make it happen. Always be open to learning new things. I didn't have UA-cam when I started i was just eager to learn and worked super hard so that the best guys wanted me and taught me!
If you were to put a ceiling in there how would you do it? Do you have any videos showing how to? I'm putting a room in a garage using metal studs. Thanks
Yes, the walls are 12' and the ceiling height is 10'. We always run the walls higher than the ceiling. You can frame with metal furring bar, angle and use hanger wire or kicker braces. I do have a bunch of videos on that system. You can also install t-bar and I have a couple videos on that too (suspended ceiling grid).
I do yes, if you search in my metal framing or drywall playlists I do cover it. I'm sorry if I wasn't at work right now I'd link it for you. I'll try to remember after.
Those are called slammers or floaters. You don't screw them in until tye drywall stage. They allow for the drywall to slip through or stop at the inside of a corner.
Meatball, Biden sucks! I've wanted to move to the states my whole life, that was before Biden, H. Clinton and Obama screwed it all up. Even Trudeau is better and that's scary lol. Happy Easter or is Happy Trans Day now I can't keep up with the nonsense?

nice job my friend, sending love and support
Thanks Brother! Appreciate that!
In metal stud walls, why are some end studs not screwed in place?
Those are called slammers or floaters. You don't screw them in until tye drywall stage. They allow for the drywall to slip through or stop at the inside of a corner.
