Oh how I love these. Don't mind me I am just having a good cry getting to not just know but develop a personal relationship with our dear Prophet Joseph Smith. I am even stronger now then I was before. Thank you
I discovered Brother Truman Madsen in 1979. My mission ended in 78 and I was Hungry for continued learning I soon discovered this wonderful teacher! He is Marvelous on any topic. You will find both Burning Testimony & Scholarship in his Works! Thanks be to our God for such men past and present in the kingdom! 😇
Who isn't strengthened in their testimonies by hearing this series of lectures ?? I mean, all this does is deepen my faith in the restored gospel and testimony that Joseph was a true Prophet of God. Seriously, I think you all feel what I'm saying.

He did all that, and he only became 38 years old. 42:00 What I also find striking is the way they talked back then. "I would go to hell for such a woman." And then some of the quotes from Brigham Young which seem inacurrate or extremely rough right now, as well as the way the temple ceremonies were worded... I think we'd get a complete culture shock if we were to talk to people in that time. Lots of farmers, rough terrain, etc.

I cant help but to wonder how many times prophets, Seers and Revelators or all of the above have returned. Yet i know to the core of my soul that they have been sufered even unto death by ALL repetedly. Possibly even caused to Die with words, gifts and guidance from God like songs unsunged because of incorrect judgement. As Man cannot see the grandios glory, Man cannot see the depths of tubdulation and persecussion being suffered by them because of the carnal state of mind of Men.
Modern-day living Prophet s and Apostles - mandatory elements of Christ’s true church, then and now
Living apostles, prophets and teachers would be a part of Christ's true church - Ephesians 2:19-20, 1 Cor. 12:27-28, Mark 3:13-15
Two modern-day, living prophets of God will be killed by evil men (thus, legitimate latter-day prophets) - Rev. 11:4-12
Christ's warning about false prophets did not state that ALL prophets would be false, for the system of prophets and apostles was to perpetuate (and did) after Christ’s departure - Mat. 17:15, 1 Cor. 12:27-28, Acts 13:1, Acts 11:28-30
God does nothing unless his secrets are revealed to us through the mouths of his prophets - Amos 3:7
Living prophets were part of the post-Christ church - Acts 13:1, 11:28-30, Ephesians 4:11-14
Mankind is solely responsible to believe in the prophets - Luke 16:19-31
God has always spoken through prophets, and never said he was done speaking through them - Luke 1:70
God speaks to Ezekiel through a prophet instead of choosing to speak to him directly - Isaiah 37:4-5
Many of Christ's true prophets got killed in the "Name of God" (Joseph Smith martyred as well) - John 16:2
Christ's ways have not and will not be changed ever (this would include speaking through prophets) - Hebrews 13:8
Some fall into the cowardly space as to take the seat of the Punisher just so that they avoid doing right or any sacrifice of their own. Causing the just to mingle in dadkness because in sad times more kindness and love is found there. Did not even Christ mingle amongst the lowly? Who is winning the spiritual war when seperation and suspicion this pandemic has turned into the norm? Evil causing to make us weak. Very old war tactics.
