Love this Jess, as far as insecurities go I completely can relate. After I got married I gained weight. I got with my husband at 14 and married him at 20. I get so upset with myself thinking about my weight gain since my marriage but then I have to remember that we are not supposed to stay in our teenage body, our body evolves after our teenage years so weight gain is normal! I always have to remind myself of this.

Kudos to you for waiting the 4 years until marriage! I waited until marriage as well. Had a 2.5 yr relationship with an ex and then a 4 month relationship before marriage with my now husband. In my 2.5 year relationship it was really frustrating at the time that he wasn’t ready to move forward in our relationship. It isn’t easy to wait, but it’s so worth it! The first time is ALWAYS a little scary especially for a girl but it is truly the safest place to be when its your life partner. I couldn’t imagine opening myself up to someone who hadn’t made a commitment to me-I think it would have added so much fear and unknowns.
The guy best friend thing genuinely helped me so much, there was this guy that I was down BAD for and we were good friends. We had class together and did so many group projects together and he’s a bit older and I’m friends with his younger sister. But well he did have gf at the time and I no homewrecker so I didn’t act upon it at all while they were together, but she broke up with him and it was really hard on him. Then through a few friends and mean being stupidly he figured out I liked him and texted me that he heard how I felt and he never wants to talk or see me again. I do forgive him but I haven’t seen or talked to him since, he had just moved and this was some what recently after he’d gotten broken up with so he was still dealing with those feelings and I really don’t want to have my memories of him be mad. So yeah I was heartbroken and really sad for a week. I started to get a bit better and then saw my guy best friend a bit after that and thought about him a bit and started to have a small crush on him and WOOOW idk how but that helped so much and now I’m over the og crush.
Hey Jess - you spoke about waxing compared to shaving. I was nervous to get my first wax done, but it is so much better than shaving. Once you go for a while your hair growth slows down and you don't need to get waxed as much and you don't get in grown hairs compared to shaving. I swore I would never go back to shaving again. Also, I think this video was very informative for younger girls. If I had these kinds of videos when I was a younger girl I would have felt so much better about lots of my questions.

I’ve done sugaring and it’s the best decision I ever made!! It makes your hair grow back thinner and it’s a better alternative to waxing! No razor burn and I never have to shave again down there! I go every 4 weeks! I highly recommend! It’s a little painful but so worth it!👌🏻🤗

Hearing the insecurity answer was really nice because me and my sister have bad insecurities. Hers is like Jess, she doesn’t like that she’s supper skinny and my parents are hard on her for it. Mine is a lot of things from weight to my skin tone and some of them are really weird and it’s from being bullied for a long time. But we both try to help each other with it and help each other.
As mum to a female the same age, I just wanted to hear your thoughts. Great advice. Only thing I would say is with tampons, be careful of TSS. They can use a lot of chemicals in these products and although changing regularly can help, it’s not a given. Just be aware it is a thing and knowing signs, you could save your own life 😊

9:55 waxing is def the go for me and I wouldn't say it hurts that bad, maybe the first time, but not after that (I am 13 have been getting Brazilians for the past year) it is scary at first, but u get used to it, but my biggest tip would be to bring someone with you(maybe ur sister or a close friend) and just talk with the waxer and the person with you about something that is NOT related to the wax, so u can get ur mind off of that

11: He kept leaving and I contacted him in January and we got back together & than broke up in Feb3rd over the dumbest thing ever.
It just felt like every time I wanted to talk thing’s out with him he just didn’t want to. That’s what your suppose to do work things out, apologize, fix things and work on building the relationship not letting it fall down. I understand I have messed up a lot I’m not the only one but being able to talk, and work stuff out with him would of been nice instead of always going back to breaking up. We both admitted in the truck we weren’t ready and being lazy, we admitted a lot of things, and cleared it all up. We had fun at the bawling alley, getting along and actually talking more. I’m only upset bc he left over me assuming something so small. We wanted to build a future with each other but it’s like we’re strangers again with each other’s secrets. 😒 he knows more than my whole family knows about me plus he seen more, He has said twice he doesn’t love me when we got into an disagreement being together but than says it’s a lie he does love me. knowing we both gave each other’s virgin card away, he said he did it bc he wanted to married the person he does it with & now we’re not gonna be able to be married sucks. It’s not just me that f up the relationship he did a part in it also but I just let the whole blame go on me bc no one will believe me anyways.

Hearing the insecurity answer was really nice because me and my sister have bad insecurities. Hers is like Jess, she doesn’t like that she’s supper skinny and my parents are hard on her for it. Mine is a lot of things from weight to my skin tone and some of them are really weird and it’s from being bullied for a long time. But we both try to help each other with it and help each other.
I started getting waxed last year…literally LIFE CHANGING, definitely try it! 🥰

As mum to a female the same age, I just wanted to hear your thoughts. Great advice. Only thing I would say is with tampons, be careful of TSS. They can use a lot of chemicals in these products and although changing regularly can help, it’s not a given. Just be aware it is a thing and knowing signs, you could save your own life 😊

9:55 waxing is def the go for me and I wouldn't say it hurts that bad, maybe the first time, but not after that (I am 13 have been getting Brazilians for the past year) it is scary at first, but u get used to it, but my biggest tip would be to bring someone with you(maybe ur sister or a close friend) and just talk with the waxer and the person with you about something that is NOT related to the wax, so u can get ur mind off of that
