The moment has arrived for another Sith List reaction....This time Episode 8 "THE JEDI, THE WITCH, AND THE WARLORD" of the Ahsoka series within the Star Wars universe.
Anticipation brims as we eagerly anticipate the creative offerings Dave Filoni and the entire team have prepared for this season. With the inclusion of characters like Ezra, Thrawn, and the intriguing possibility of Anakin, we're so excited for this season.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka will follow the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Also, Mortis is the key to getting home. Morai obviously traveled between galaxies as well as the Gods.

5:42 It's actually really sentimental and super sweet that Huyang keeps at least one spare part in case the youngling/jedi's original saber is broken or needs it. Kanan's original emitter in live action was such a beautiful touch and Ezra got a part of Kanan back with him again.
Funny enough, I want to know what Huyang's reaction was when Anakin had to fix his saber or build a new one after the end of Episode II. Since his was cut off in the droid factory before he and Padme were captured and sentenced to die alongside Obi-Wan in the Arena on Geonosis. For that matter, Obi-Wan also needs to share what Huyang thought when he lost his in Episode I on Naboo. 🤣🤣🤣
Does anyone else think Huyang is used to Jedi losing or breaking lightsabers all the time after all those years?

Sabine Wren is the rightful owner of the darksaber. Never lost it in combat and she's the first mandalorian since Tarre Vizsla to be a force user.
I felt bad for Morgan. They just left her and she orchestrated it all. They were like bye, see ya.

But I was smiling when Ashoka smiled because as the camera pulled back, I was wondering if Anakin would appear, just like when he appeared before Luke in Return of the Jedi.
And... Hayden's smile got me shedding tears... This ending actually had me feeling like there was still hope.

I think he was still Thrawning. They were still a threat and kept surviving every attempt to eliminate them. Ezra made it on board, and Sabine would have had she not chosen to stay behind.
Totally agree! He knows if they get onboard there’s a really good chance they take over.
I knew it! The Night Troopers are actually living at first, only to get revived as zombies. The Night Death Troopers, on the other hand, are soo cool and terrifying. They make good elite units, to the point that not only their armor is either an alloy of durasteel and possibly beskar or armor enchanted, they dont give a damn at getting shot at or even stabbed by a lightsaber and you have to decapitate or aim at the head.
Next season is gonna be nuts. The Mortis arch is setting up here for next season. You have it all here on this planet...The Father, Son, and now most importantly, Ahsoka has shown up here....The Daughter...and Anakin's force Ghost, along with Morai. This could get kinda crazy

My thoughts in the season finale is Ahsoka will spend most of the next season here “trying to get back home” and is what Baylan Skoll seeks the key to stopping Thrawn?
Guy in the white sweater and glasses reacted to Anakin's Force Ghost with all the emotion of a singular cell organism.

RIP Ray Stevenson...
Baylan's story will continue on or... end in the next season. I hope that whatever they do to end his character or carry on his legacy, that it will be a fitting tribute. Because he was part of Ashoka and helped this show to be produced and brought to us.
I will also remember how much I enjoyed him fighting alongside Thor/Chris Hemsworth as Volstagg. He had such a great energy onscreen and he will be missed.

23:25 They absolutely have to get live-action Zeb back for Season 2. More characters from Rebels need to see Ezra again.
Steve Blum visited Rose City Comiccon in September and I went up to talk to him. All of us Star Wars fans asked us what it was like to voice Zeb again and he said he had a thrilling experience. Of course, one of us asked if he would appear in Ahsoka. His answer was exactly like when Ian Mcdiarmid was asked if Palpatine would appear in Kenobi before the final episode premiered last year.

I hope Zeb comes back for sure. I want him to see Ezra so much in Season 2.
I didn’t think they could pull off Zeb in live action, but man oh man, did they ever!
The saber duel between Ahsoka and Morgan was great, but anytime they have more than 2 people in a fight it gets super clunky. I wish they would hire a better choreographer.
tbh, I love Morgan's style basically incorporating the Wushu sword fighting technique which is rarely recognized in martial arts
To me, The Mortis Gods statues implies it is Abeloth calling out to Baylan Skoll.

In an episode of the Mandalorian Din cut himself in the leg with the dark saber. Not someone falling on the blade but close.
That planet is where the Mortis gods lived before Mortis. They were apparently run off by Aboloth apparently from what I hear. Idk

Abeloth was a mortal servant to THE ONE. She gave him children (The Son & The Daughter). So now we got three celestial beings, and a mortal mother. I think she drank from some sacred fountain and basically upgraded to demo god status. So they cast her out and left her in a prison of sorts, like how the Titans were depicted in Greek Mythology. She is often depicted with gold hair.
Good reaction, Gentlemen, to a very good Season Finale. Peridea is now on my Top 10 List of coolest planets in The SWU. It seems to be a focal point for all things Force-oriented, from tributes to a murderous Zeffo Sith Sage/Warrior, to Dathomiri Witchcraft, to carved statues (within a mountain) of The Mortis Gods and more. It has to be a remarkably powerful nexus in The Force, for the Convor owl, Morai and the Force ghost of Anakin Skywalker (The Chosen One) to both appear all within the same day. It also means that, perhaps, there are doorways/access points to other parts of BOTH galaxies to be found on the planet, including The Veil Of The Force/TWBW, which might make it possible for Ahsoka, Sabine, & Friends to find their way back to their galaxy. I'm also absolutely certain that Anakin Skywalker will appear before his Son, Luke, and inform him of the dire situation at hand, and how he, his Sister (Leia), and others can help protect the galaxy from ancient and current evils stirring in The Outer Rim and The Unknown Regions (the same place that Our preteen kids from Skeleton Crew will be living and then get lost in...perhaps they'll accidentally discover what new galactic threats are lurking and massing there, giving them quite the story to tell back home and to The New Republic).
BTW, Thrawn was "Thrawning" the entire time: His primary goal was to get off of Peridea, with as many of his military as possible intact, along with his new supernatural allies, and the "new cargo", that will be the difference-maker in The Remnant Empire's return; while obliterating ANY opportunity for his opponents (the 3 Jedi, and the 2 Force-using mercenaries) to stop him or return with him back to the known galaxy. As he stated, he wasn't going to be caught in a repeat of the events of 10-11 years earlier.
The characters of Baylan Skoll (the wolf that chases the sun) and Shin Hati (the wolf that chases the moon) are two of the most fascinating characters in Star Wars (live-action) storytelling in a long time. I was glad to see that, by end of this part of the story, their complexities only seem to be growing. It is truly tragic that Ray Stevenson never got to see the love given to him and his character by the fans; and that he'll never get to reprise the role in the future. Jon and Dave have an unenviable task ahead of them, with regard to how they will continue this story. Some fans have suggested Gerard Butler or Liev Schreiber to take on the role, or that the parts of his story should be depicted in Animation, for continuity and verisimilitude. It certainly seems that Lord Baylan Skoll is meant to be a serious catalyst in what comes next on Peridea, and perhaps what may end up infiltrating the other galaxy, where the rest of Our Heroes, Villains, and Antiheroes reside. I hope Baylan Skoll's earlier life history gets depicted in both Season 2 of Tales Of The Jedi and the 2024 novel, Star Wars: The Living Force (taking place 1 year before The Phantom Menace).

(1) They seemed way too relaxed for the situation they were in, I didn’t sense any hurry in any of them other than Ezra. Ahsoka seemed very accepting of everything that happened. No hurry, no worries, no frustration.
(2) They need to find ways to improve the way lightsaber/blast repelling sequences go, because they always look a bit goofy and unrealistic.
(3) Did Morgan not see Sabine walking towards them when giving Ahsoka that little speech?
Just a crazy thought: Filoni worked on avatar the last airbender before becoming George’s padawan protege. He’s building up to some crazy tie in post TROS with the Mortis arc. At some point I think we get the lineage of the skywalkers in the form of the avatar reincarnation.

After seeing how this ended, I hope the rumors of a second season of Ahsoka are true and that we get it in 2026 before we get Dave Filoni’s Star Wars movie in 2027 for the 50th Anniversary of Star Wars

@@SithList Yeah. At least one more since the current plan leading into Filoni’s movie after Ahsoka S1 is Skeleton Crew, Mando S4, then Ahsoka S2, and finally Filoni’s movie to end the whole storyline of the Mando-Verse of Star Wars.
Really enjoyed the ep, loved the season and really enjoyed your reactions and comments through the season.
On a minor note Star Wars creators need to show us the hugs, JJ with Leia and Chewie in TFA and now cutting away from Hera and Ezra.

I think we're getting Abeloth which is wild if that happens but the connection to the Mortis gods and Baylen being called to sounds like Abeloth. And technically we saw Maul lose to Kanan in the rebels season 2 finale when he tripped over the stone statue guy.

I think there was very likely much more to Baylon's story but I'm pretty confident, given Ray's untimely death, they chopped it all out and just gave him that one scene to sum up his journey and make it so they didnt have to leave something unended with him. I have a feeling that in season 2 or the movie, he will have left something for Shin to follow in his footsteps. So sad he's gone since he was one of my favorite parts of this show and the best original live-action character they've created since the original trilogy (imo)... RIP Ray and overall this show was great and ended really well. Much better than other recent shows. Many tugs at the heart strings in this one too.
the scene of Baylan overlooking the horizon to where The Father statue is pointing is just a perfect way of sending Ray off.
It's like showing him that this life isnt the end for him but another journey that he will embark in the next

I give this final 7/10 There where a bit stupid things happening. Like when they ride the ratwolf. Its raining fire but no hits. And where did Ezra get the crystal from? Im fine with Sabine finally can use the forde. I think we got some hints in the Rebels.
Good episode...They will have to recast Baylan for season two...The weakest character for me was Sabine.
Now I can't wait for the movie! I think May 2026, right? So sad we won't get to see Baylan specifically. I've been a HUGE fan of Ray Stevenson since HBO's "Rome" in the 2000s! That's definitely now even more of a must-see for anyone who hasn't seen that entertaining series yet. (I think it was only two or three seasons of ten episodes because HBO didn't have the Game of Thrones fan base yet, but that series was approaching GoT-levels of spending, so it got canceled...)
Rome was amazing! Ray Stevenson will be missed.
I could not be more happy with this season finally what an amazing show its got to be my most favorite to date (sorry Andor fans Andor was missing the fun and friendly banter i love) what amazing choreography in the fight scenes, also Dave's and Ricks framing of Shots and scenes were so good in this episode too, (Ahhh Les i write this as i watch your nailing the predictions, there going to kill her for bringing jedi to them lol )

the whole show is a big nothing burger uninteresting piece of crap... I'm just annoyed that I show up to see this stuff. Maybe they need to let star wars die, the only descent thing they made since the prequels is mando the rest is just not good enough to be star wars ... this show was horrible, felt like I watched absolutely nothing.
