@859foh I just visited Kentucky for the first time over Christmas. My son is in Lexington. We took long day trips into the mountains and towns. It is so beautiful, I just loved it. The history and old houses and shops are everywhere. I look forward to going back.
@859foh All the people I met or talked to were friendly and kind. I may retire there to be near family. It's great to be in Lexington and in 10 minutes in the country and hills.
Had my 72 birthday the 19th of November and a Stroke last week, but I'm doing better and it sure was a pleasure seeing ya'll online again today missed seeing the videos definitely enjoyed Kentucky and can't wait till the next video. Denny
I went to the Corvette museum years ago when I drove a 1996 yellow LT4 and got free admission back then with special parking for Corvettes only. I miss that car. Another very good video. I see the leg is still an issue. I myself limp because of a bad knee replacement I got staff infection with, so I am sensitive to people who limp like you are doing. Your's is getting better thankfully and not as pronounced as the prior video. All the town courthouses were very nice. Your ability to frame them so artfully is what makes the difference between your channel and others on UA-cam. Because of your art you are collecting quite a following in England. It seems the English appreciate how well you do your videos. I'm looking forward to Ohio next. My buddy lives there on a horse farm. It's funny Nicole ribs you about having a driveway. Your driveway is what hotel you are presently staying at. You need to invest in a lot in the Hill Country. It is where Texans retire to. You need to consider Canyon Lake before it gets too expensive. It's close enough to major hospitals but far enough away from the crowds. Add it as a San Antonio side trip. Keep the videos coming they are very entertaining.
Thank you for the great comment. You made my day. I severely sprained my ankle years ago and now, as I get older, it easily re-sprains. It's pretty much healed back up now. I'm amazed that you could tell.
It always makes my day a little brighter when I get to go sightseeing in pretty little towns, then it’s off to grab Nicole for a special stop, and head to have an awesome early dinner with you both. I absolutely love your videos! Safe travels and God’s blessings always! ♥️🙏🏻♥️
Enjoyed your visit to Glasgow Ky. I went University in Glasgow Scotland. A little known fact was that Jefferson Davis lived in Glasgow Scotland briefly after the end of the American Civil War.
I've had bacon wrapped dates at a friend's house and they were delicious. And I definitely wouldn't let those balsamic glazed greens go to waste either!!!!
If you said small town America to people here in the UK they would envisage a place like Columbia. As you said a beautiful town as rural Kentucky and Tennessee have also been. Ohio you have a hard act to follow.
Hi Joe: Thank you for another great video of a part of the world I’ve never seen. You mentioned some houses built of “rock” in this video and previously. Actually these are referred to as “stone” houses. Here in the Philadelphia suburbs we have many stone houses constructed of stone from local quarries. Just thought you’d like to know. And thanks for showing the Corvette Museum! How cool!!
A great video, as always. Beautiful neighbourhoods and downtowns. The rock houses are unusual, but very pretty ! The chapel is such a unique style, but lovely inside, so peaceful. The Corvette Museum is amazing, gorgeous cars ! Thank you so much, Joe and Nic, very enjoyable !😊💗
I love the bluegrass state. Thank you all for sharing Kentucky and Tennessee because often they are just pass through states on the way to somewhere else. You all rock.
A noted resident of Bowling Green was the late Dr. Howard R. Carpenter, who joined Western Kentucky University as a Professor Music in 1953, headed the department from 1965-1975, and finally retired from the University in 1984. His son John grew up in Bowling Green and for a while attended WKU before relocating to California to attend USC. He of course went on to a rather successful career as a filmmaker, noted for movies like "Assault on Precinct 13", "Halloween", "The Fog", "Escape from New York", "The Thing" and many more. John is also frequently recognized for scoring his own movies, obviously having acquired a talent for music from his father. While attending school in Bowling Green one of John's classmates and close friends was Tommy Lee Wallace, who would become a frequent collaborator with John - as a production designer, editor, musician, and writer. He wrote the script for and directed "Halloween III: Season of the Witch", and would later direct the original TV mini-series adaptation of "Stephen King's IT".
All the towns were attractive & pleasant, along with their history. I LOVED the Corvette Museum. Your supper looked delicious too, especially the appetizers. So happy for ya'll being able to do all this traveling and share it with us. Thanks, Nicole os getting prettier.

Such pretty pretty little towns. Love the snowflakes & lights on lamposts of downtown Columbia; the manger scene, the court house AWESOME! Tidbits of historical events & who is who..luv hearing about that. Luv the Corvette Museum. Way back when..I should have stayed with my boyfriend that had a 1963 Red/White Corvette. lol. You're awesome Joe & Nicole. Thank you for all the vids you share with us all.
Hi I had a 1961 Corvette. It was a good car, but it took awhile to get use to driving it cuz you just about sat over the rear wheels. I traded in my 1969 Camaro for it. Thanks for the ride along I liked the first town the Best. You and Nicky should live there. Too cold out for Cats!

Great video as usual! I ran in 2 show the hubby the corvette museum! It was awesome, he's owned 2 or 3 of those over the yrs. Dinner looked great! Have fun and stay safe!
From India: Sir - all the efforts you are putting in to shoot and show us all, the length and breadth of USA is very unique. It is so selfless. It is very much commendable that you are funding it totally with your personal monies. this entire private documentary of yours will certainly sit as part of the US history for the future generations if they choose to see and get to know how things were during the first quarter of 21 st century. Hope your Federal Government takes note of your efforts and supports you financially and otherwise too as required. with regards
That county courthouse in that first town could use some barriers around it considering they way those vehicles were speeding around it! And that blue house was nice! It had some good curb appeal.
My husband ordered a new 1967 Corvette and there was a strike which caused him stress and long anxious times before it was finished. They are too small for even a couple to drive on a long vacation; they require taking the top off to get a large piece of luggage in or out! We drove it to FL with a cooler and our luggage. That required us to squeeze things in somewhat and we were quite crowded! We sold it and bought a new Thunderbird which we had quite a while. We drove it to CA and all over the west as we enjoyed it so much!
Great video, as usual. I love the look of these towns. The Corvette Museum is worth a visit. That church in Columbia is just a bit creepy both inside and outside. Very stark and the windows were covered? I could not work out the seeming lack of natural light. But an opening way up in the 30 foot ceiling brings to mind a pyramid, while the exterior looks like either a silo or a planetarium. And you two always find the best restaurants!
Hopefully you visited Franklin Ky. I grew up there and they have a cool octagon house with a lot of history. Also Johnny Cash and June Carter was married In Franklin Ky.
Love that you are adding archival photos in some of your videos now. Very poignant. It’s so hard to see these towns quiet when you’re there on weekends. My youth in the sixties was wonderful. Everyone was downtown, window shopping, eating, visiting…all gone now. Jobs shipped overseas and Walmart wiped out our sense of community and our downtowns all over the country. Enjoy your episodes! FYI - I've always heard Glasgow pronounced "glazz-go." You know my hometown of Louisville has its "Loo-ah-vull" pronunciation. Also, the town of Versailles, pronounced as written, not the French way. Must be Kentucky things!
Anytime I need to relax I turn on Joe & Nic. Your patient voice and both of you contribute to make these videos enjoyable.
