And she died three and a half months later, my best memory of Janis was seeing her at the Fillmore East and singing until 4 am during the second show. I was smart enough to go to both shows that night and I'll never forget the impact she had on me. One of a kind, the best that ever was.

Janis will always be my favorite person as an artist she always kept it chill and real, its a shame so many artists have been dying of drugs, alcohol and suicide because they are so hyper sensitive to feelings you can tell by hearing them because they sing with true convictions and they don't focus on what people expect them to be, or perfectly toned, you can literally hear and feel the emotions in all the flaws just make them unbeatable because that's what made them incredible.

Being able to watch this great talent some 40 years after her untimely death just makes me happy that UA-cam has done such a great job letting the World to still be able to see and watch Janis perform, it also makes me somewhat sad remembering how young she was when she OD'ed. We will never know how much more she could have brought to the world of music. I was lucky enough to see Janis in Concert in Jan.'70, it's a concert I'll never forget. The emotion and power she brought to her performance's is still remarkable even today.

That line: "We may not be here tomorrow..." I had to replay that to make sure I heard her right. Presently, I am 27, and to know that she didn't make it past that age is a mind scramble. Of course, people die every day of all age groups - no one is exempt. But the very thought "get it while you can" is so real and ironic given this short amount of time she had left. It's good advice for us all, really. To live. We've only got one life, and although some of us will be here longer than others, the changes we make and the grounds we break are what counts. RIP Janis.

Her music is as good now as it was then... It's Timeless... It speaks to so many of us about live & love. Janis was gifted, and her music will live on!

Timeless. Just look at the date stamps on these comments. And the very last expression on her face when she was done singing and mentally came to just being on stage.

*This is my favorite 'Janis' moment as well!*
Even this late in her (short) life; She still had that _'vulnerable, little-girl'_ look on her face AFTER a performance.
When she was singing; *She was the best!*
    Ballsy, beautiful & taking chances!
When it was over she always looked..... _'insecure'._
    *What a Pearl!*
    *Rock On!*

Janis is so amazing. I first heard her on the car radio while waiting for my dad to come out of a shop. I was so sad when he told me she was dead. :( I was only 9 at the time, but have loved her since that day when I first discovered her. Talent like hers will never die as successive generations hear her sing.

My mom had a record of her, I remember she would play it for me in the car since as long as I can remember. Just recently I learned more about her and started personally learning about her and she was truly an amazing, beautiful soul.

I continue to be awestruck by her performances. She puts her heart and soul in right until the end. And then, when its over, she looks so vulnerable. She really sometimes didn't know what she had, did she?

Question: Why don’t we have anyone today, in 2020, who can sing with the same emotional DEPTH and INTENSITY that Janis did back in the late 60’s? She was electrifying! Janis died 50 years ago (just think!), and NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, female OR male, has come along since Janis who can belt out a song the same way she did!

2022 still stands out. Love me some Janis ✌️🤗☮️🌼 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

the anthem for a troubled life...which she had. they may not really care about you and may be gone tomorrow but 'get it while you can".
you have given up on yourself and your future on a deep level when you start thinking and living like this.
she was unique and passed way too young.
