    That gun slip is awesome. Don’t change it. It has stories In every stain and abrasion.

      That’s very true 😂 it is a little dirty to say the least, might invest in a leather one next time

    Love your vids and your honesty. So excited for your new gun fit! I’m looking at the beretta silver pigeon Vitoria for this very reason.

      Thank you extremely kind of you. Honesty is the best policy. To be fair, I do love my Beretta. Being a 20g means it’s very light, however with certain cartridges it does kick quite a bit and mounted incorrectly it can give you quite a knock

    I had a Browning and had an adjustable stock put in after I couldn't get the gun to fit me right with the factory stock. It made a world of difference. It helped when I lost a lot of weight and my sight picture changed because my cheeks weren't as puffy!!! I found you will have to adjust your comb per the outfit you are wearing. Winter shooting to Summer shooting will require an adjustment due to the clothing you are wearing.

      Very true, because it’s so hard not to layer up in the winter but collars 100% get in the way don’t they🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m quite petite on top and so there isn’t much of me to mount it on😂 Hope yours works better for you now

    Well shot, looks like the comb raiser is working for you. You’ll be even better when you’re not as layered up. If you were struggling with the midi’s it’s most likely that you were in front of them. They come out of the trap fast but slow down very quickly in comparison to a standard clay. They also create an optical illusion in that they look further away than they actually are….keep up the great content!!! 👌👍👊

      @LeaLeasCountryLife  5 місяців тому

      I could hear them way before I could see them 😂 I 100% need less layers on for a smoother mount

    Get the comb to the cheek first then bayonet it into the shoulder. You’ve got a natural skill. You’ll see vast improvement by making sure your rear sight (your right eye) is in the proper position vice making sure the stock is comfortable.

      I definitely need to practice more with my gun mount in the mirror. I feel like it’s getting better but could be vastly improved. It’s trying to break out of bad habits that’s the issue

    Practice, Practice, Practice, gunfit is everything you would not drive a car with your head tillted with one eye closed 😂plus your done in the westcountry wear everything is extremely high, great film Lea Lea keep them coming. 😊

      @LeaLeasCountryLife  5 місяців тому +1

      Now that’s a good way of putting it. It’s easier said than done with the head tilt, it’s a real habit. Everything down this way is neck breaking, you’ve got to be super quick to get on the clays and sadly I’m not good enough..maybe one day I will be though 😂

    Had a riser added to my 12 last year to match my 20, helped me a lot. Don't do anything with the slip, it just adds class.

    • @LeaLeasCountryLife
      @LeaLeasCountryLife  5 місяців тому

      Glad it’s helped you, I am hoping that in time it will get better. I just picked up so many bad habits having an ill fitting gun for so many years, I need to get out of the habit. You’re not the first to say this re the slip so I think that it will be staying now 😂

    Looks like you were shooting pretty well with gun ! Great job as usual !!!

      Thank you, plenty of misses but plenty of hits. The midis were super hard, could hear them but couldn’t see them until the last minute and so it was hard to pick them up

    Beretta love 💚
    Good luck on correcting the kinky neck 😄
    I think you are right about the coat - I shoot even more crap than usual if I'm all layered up 😂
    Roll on the fair weather clays !

    • @LeaLeasCountryLife
      @LeaLeasCountryLife  5 місяців тому

      It definitely gets in the way but it was a cooler day and I was truly feeling the cold, so wrapped up. I’m the warmer weather it’ll be easier with less layers on for sure. Love my Beretta, just need to make her work for me 🧐

    Hi Lea , literally had same trouble a few years ago , was shooting a beretta 690 field and didn’t realise it didn’t fit.Bought a 694 and has really increased my percentage.A higher comb stopped me from tilting my head . Good luck and keep up the great vids👍

      Sounds like we’ve had similar issues, it’s such a hard habit to get out of. I know it won’t fix itself over night but in time I’m hoping it’ll get better. Just need to practice practice practice. Thank you, glad you’re enjoying them

    Great video , perhaps taking the scarf off and zipping up the coat would help with a more consistent mount, keep having fun with your gun 👍

    • @LeaLeasCountryLife
      @LeaLeasCountryLife  5 місяців тому

      Thank you 🙌🏼 I don’t normally shoot with this coat but it was rather cold so needed to wrap up warm. I normally wear something with a flatter collar so it doesn’t get in the way as much

    You was so excited when you was hitting them 😂😂 I shoot a lot off clays and I always shoot with eley supberb 8’s in fibre there and excellent cartridge and very little kick. 😊

      I believe at the moment (without getting it out of the cabinet and checking) that I have a full and 3/4 at the moment…that is from memory mind. I don’t tend to change them 🤷🏼‍♀️

    How can you shoot with that much collar on your coat, it must interfere with your gun mounting

    • @LeaLeasCountryLife
      @LeaLeasCountryLife  5 місяців тому

      It 100% does, I was really cold and so layered up. Come the warmer weather I won’t have collars on like this

      Damn, I lost the book that tells me the rules of what I am allowed to do as a woman. So I decided that I might as well do as I please✌🏼
