This has been a tough episode for Ruzek. His dad selling him out, Kim thinking he's capable of murder... I really felt bad for him. Chicago PD is as good as it can get... awesome show!

His dad is the worst! The emotional manipulation, gaslighting, lack of responsibility...Sad part he will never learn because Adam and Voight was always there to help him. Thank God he's retiring 🤦🏽♀️ This isn't the end of him. He'll manage to suck Adam into more of his drama.

Adam is an unbelievable actor he is so strong emotionally . Adam should get help dealing with looser Dad losing the baby ,being honest with KIM . Kim loves him and she does see him ,but she doesn't know how to reach him . Let them move in together and really work on this relationship because it's worth saving.

I'm glad that Bob's alive! But I agree with Hank it's time that he stopped covering for his dad and start putting himself first for once. I understand that's his father and that Adam loves his dad but Adam needs to draw a line somewhere with his dad eventually and start putting his own career first.
I was laughing too when Bob said it would ruin our name no it will ruin his reputation not Adams! Adam's reputation is known as a good cop. Just because Bob's known as a compulsive gambler and is known not to pay people back that doesn't affect Adam's career.
And the fact that Bob was willing to sell out his own son I'm sorry was messed up. I understand that Bob was scared for his life but come on selling out your own son? Seriously? I mean it was bad enough that Bob put his own life in danger but now he wants to put Adam's life in danger too.
@@katie2967 You noticed that Adam's gone through a lot the most in the last few seasons? From Denny trying to Blackmail him into selling out Hank, from him trying to protect Antonio from going to jail after the Jason Rizzo death, then serving time for bit of time, and now this.

I mean it's bad enough that his father was willing to sell him out but then the love of his life basically accuses him of being a murderer and thinks that he would even be capable of doing something like that.

I loved Adams speech to Burgess at the end of the episode, it was so powerful and impactful. And, TBH I think its what most viewers where thinking
I honestly think it's time that Adam move on from Kim and find somebody else.
I am so mad about that. I see both sides though, Burgess was scared and uncomfortable with the way Ruzek was acting. Ruzek was just doing his job and was trying to tell the truth. I understand why Burgess didn't believe him but i also see why Ruzek was hurt that she didn't believe him. Its kinda hard to pick a side because i love both characters so much

And the fact that she even thought that Adam was even capable of hurting someone like that bothers me too.
I understand where Kim was coming from, Ruzek was teetering on the line whole episode. But when he said it was a clean shoot that should have been it, it's not like he wouldn't tell her the truth

Dayum Adam going thru changes due to his father again. He can't seem to catch a break; he has been having some serious personal growth moments. Very good, intense episode.

@@omarcogle1965 Al was always the voice of reason around the squad room and he probably would have given him some sound advice -- to think before he reacted and think about the long term effect of his actions. So was straight old school in his actions and way if thinking. That was messed up how he was taken out (written out) of the show. He is missed.
@@marlenesheffield8777 True, but like Adam, Al was always loyal from the jump, to Hank and to Intelligence, and sometimes did stuff behind the scenes. When Jay got suspended during the Lonnie Rodiger murder in Season 1, Al checked up on him. When Jay got kidnapped in Season 3, he reached out to Erin. The way Al went outbwas messed up, but at least he got Justice.

I've been upset about this for days. Burzek have been through enough. Almost anyone can see that they are supposed to be together. The writers are making drama were it shouldn't be. They give us so much Burzek content. She was beside him the whole way leading up to the incident. She hasn't been this affectionate to him for a long time. Since S7 finale she has acted closer to him. What was the point? I sure hope their goal is to make it that if they can come back from that they can come back from anything.

Chicago pd for some reason always breaks up couples. I honestly don't get why, like I understand that every relationship has its ups and downs but why do they always hv to break them up
They've been through enough. Burgess has everything thrown at her since season 1. And Ruzek at least a few times being blackmailed by Woods, going to prison, loss of a child and now this.
Adam has been through many difficult times lately and has had to face difficult personal growth and alone. It is the first time that we see him speaking about his feelings in a sincere and painful way. He is now ready to be the man, husband and father that Kim and any woman would want on his side. Adam discovered that the one who was not ready to surrender to this love totally is her. Kim should no longer have any doubts that this man loves her and now it is her turn to discover where Adam's limits really are, that in her blind loyalty they go further than hers but not so far as to murder in cold blood. . Now I understand that he put her against the wall or you love me like you loved me before or I take off because he can no longer love her like he loves her and she treats him like a dog. It is her decision. In my opinion she will fight for him, she has always been in love with Adam and now she will love him much more for the man he is today.
This is the second time Voight has kept Bob’s name clean. Bob owes him big time and has lost the right to call him a dirty cop

Kim has been saying things like he didn't mean it when he said he still wanted to date, or if it was crazy for them to sleep together. They were going to Makayla out and eat like a family. The writers are so frustrating in that way.
I'm hoping they use those things along with the last incident as a wake up call for her to fight to get him back. My heart is broken for Adam. She better step up.
I wish the writers would make up their damn mind about rather or not they want Kim and Adam together because I am so sick and tired of the back and forth between these two either put them back together or let Adam move on and let him be happy with someone else.
Almost anyone can see they are soulmates. I know the writers write them as that but seem to not want to stick with that. Maybe this is the final time they decided to do this and finally let them be together.

Ruzek needs to tell both Atwater and Burgess to kick rocks. The two people who should know him the best are the two people who question him the most!
Yeah I don't understand that at all especially Kevin and Kim first Kevin thinks he's a racist all of a sudden and then Kim accused him of murder. I honestly think that Adam can do so much better than Kim.
On the Kevin situation, you can understand where he was coming from on that, in recent seasons, Kevin's been going through some stuff as well, and not to mention the argument he had with Hank in the beginning if this season. Adam's gone through stuff as well, not just this season. At the end of season 5 and beginning of season 6, him and Antonio got into it. Kevin and Adam are always going to be boys, but sometimes their friendship is going to get tested, it's not realistic if it's not.

I don't like how they flipflop from his dad being a stellar cop back in Voight and Olinskys day, to being a crooked lazy cop. First episode, they doubt he is up to his father's legacy, implying Disco Bob was his own Voight. Same goes for when he was shown to be "undercover" then in this episode he's shown to have never been much of a cop. Then when Ruzek was undergoing medical evaluation, it is implied he had a fall from grace when he was injured and began backsliding. So, which is it?!

i like ruzek and i get he’s been through a lot but i wish this episode ending was different. i wish ruzek’s dad was punished, just because he’s a cop doesn’t make him above the law and that’s what’s some people and cops in real life need to understand.
That's part of why I respect Kevin so much because even though that one cop was a police officer even though Kevin knew he was going against Chicago Police Kevin still took a risk and was willing to testify against another cop because he saw that he was breaking the law.

Makes me wonder if this is why Voight didn't pick Kim to be part of his team in season one. He knew she was too emotional and too wishywashy and could not be relied on to be loyal to anyone.
i like ruzek as a character, but the way his relationship is with kim I don't like it, at first he did nothing but confuse her and make her ask questions. i know people don't like roman but at least he was kind and straight up with how he felt to kim. don't get me wrong, I like ruzek, I like roman too.
