- In this clip: Kim Cattrall (0:35), Sarah Jessica (4:36) , Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon (0:56).
About this clip: Carrie tries to buy the Arabic man's virtue in the souk. The non-pareil Arabic man rebuffs her monetary overtures, despite Carrie's perfunctory "Thanks Aaaaalah" to sound cosmopolitan and globe-trotting. Earlier, in this scene, Miranda advances legal arguments to politely calm down the gold-digging resentment of her Manhattan friends.
Them getting kicked out of the hotel was the only good scene in the movie😢
You are quite the Natasha, aren't you?! XD
The way Samantha keeps self-control in such an extreme situation is impeccable. Admire her a lot.
Agreed ❤
Self control HA!!! She wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place if she practiced a little self control. She disrespected a country’s customs because she just had had to put things on display in public.
@@MeowMeow-cp3sw when I mentioned self-control, I meant the way she talked to the receptionist. I do not approve of her behaviour anyways, but imagine you had a call where you had to pay a fortune in an hour:))))
I also loved that Carrie gave money to her personal butler there so he could go home to see his wife. One of my favorite Carrie moments
Me too
She did give away her money for a good cause, don’t always see everything she did as negative.
The only time in her whole life she thought about someone else. 😂
Carrie is narrow minded. Unless she's in the same boat, she doesn't care to relate or be open minded. Carrie has been known to do good deeds if she is in the same boat. If she was in a happy situation in her marriage, doubt she'd do it. I'm just basing it on Carrie's character all through the show.
"Fucking Paula Abdul, where is she when you need him?!" Lool
"I am going from here to a plane to America where legs are not the devil." 🤣🤣🤣 So epic!
"buy them some crap at the airport" 😂😂😂😂😂
If they sold a handbag each they could probably stay there for another week or so
Why were they pretending they couldn't just pay for one more night and avoid the rush? 🤣 They're literally all rich women. It's $5500 between the 4 of them. Big alone could've covered it if Carrie pulled out her credit card.
I guess that price is for each of them($22000), so for one night for them it would be $88000. But if we calculate the weekend and the Friday, when they arrived and being kicked out in Sunday, the price is $264000. But they had extended service, so I guess the final price is about $300000.
No wonder why they choose the cheapest option: the check out and avoiding the jail in UAE
Yeah that was weird 🧐
That type of royal suites are priced at $20k+ per night (not per person) eventhough they can afford it doesn't mean they are willing to pay for it.. esp. unplanned
@@cosminandreimatei756Samantha said just room, so it was for the whole suite. I can see why Carrie couldn't call Big after she told him about kissing Aidan. But Samantha could have called Smith. Also ,in the first film she was going to spend $50,000 on a ring for herself. She could have afforded it
They probably had some memories of when they were young and without money, and didn’t want to spend too much on something that they didn’t want to spend their money on, and find themselves without money.
We don’t really know their real financial situation.
I don't understand all the hate. I enjoyed this movie. 💜
Agreed.
It actually wasn't bad. It just wasn't that much aligned with the previous movie and series. But it's pretty good really, especially if it were a stand-alone. 🤷
There are funny and enjoyable moments but the tone is a bit wrong. Yes the series has those wtf moments but it was done in very adult way. Here it is like a cartoon
It's awful
Me too
"I can't be ready in an hour"
I never understand how? Fold up your clothes and pack them in one suitcase, pack the rest in another. The small stuff throw them in a bag like Miranda does. Charlotte's so whiny.
It depends on how much stuff you have I guess.
especially hen they have a personal butler each.
I know right, it’s not like they’re moving house 😂
@@alicemakarevich6762 when you travel most of your belongings are still in bags
@@merewetherful when you have more than s certain number of suitcases it might very well take you more than an hour to pack all of your stuff
God I miss Samantha. 😊 She was the best part of the whole thing. I loved the movies. This was the best scene in the movie!! I love how they did all this in heels. You go girls!!
I love Samantha, she was so authentically human 👍🏻
This was one of the funniest scenes in a movie filled with cultural assumptions and inaccuracies. The way Samantha’s shoe dropped and her expression-I couldn’t stop laughing.
Buy them crap at the airport! 🤣🤣
Poor Samantha, having to deal with menopause in Middle East
Don't understand why they couldn't pay the $22,000 a night. Carrie is married to a rich man, Miranda is a lawyer, Charlotte is married to a divorce lawyer, and Samantha runs her own PR firm.
Well... 22 thousands dollars is a lot of money, even if they are rich people.
Considering that I must say that they could afford it, but they don't want to spend all that money for a hotel room.
@@HiraKenji
Also the 22 thousands dollars was the price for a night, but they arrived Friday and left Sunday or Monday AND they had extra services like one limousine for each from the airport to the hotel, butlers, bar (I think?)in their room and special dishes for Samantha to survive with the menopause in the Arabian heat.
Wtf would anyone pay that?! BS mate.
Loved their vibes. Wish we could them all four again
Miranda takes the bathroom products amazing my style
Its a good job they had Miranda with them for the law knowledge she holds
Kim is the oldest one and the age difference is almost 10 years with the rest.
But she didn't look much older than the other girls am I the only one who thinks so?
Not at all
Kim Cattrall makes a very short appearance in the And Just Like That season 2 finale where she remarkably looks exactly the same as in this movie despite it being over a decade later. While the other ladies all look very aged.
Samantha looked the best in the movies, despite being about 10 years older than the rest. Just proves that age is just a number.
Oh come off it! She looks like she’s had her face catapulted through industrial strength cling film.
1:09 “We Have an hour to Pack and GET THE FUCK OUT ABU DHABI!!!!!!!”
I would do the same thing
Carrie and Charlotte are filthy rich. Sam wealthy. Miranda comfortable.
If Big can give his exwife a million dollars, they could pay their hotel bill.
Even if just one night
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said this, but have never been to Abu Dhabi 😂
I love Carrie here. She's empathetic and caring and so humble.
Samantha is so fkn funny. Sex and the city is done without her 😢
An hour is enough time to pack up. Come on now 😂
just to hear samantha say I might die cracked me up haha
Carrie pathetic leaving her stuff for a man she treated like dirt
"Get them some crap at the airport!!" & "Yeah, like we dumped you in ABU DHABI !"
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Miranda’s outfit with the red jacket is lovely
I fckin miss this Miranda.
Couldn't they just book another hotel somewhere else more affordable?
I think I’m some middle eastern countries its very difficult for women to book hotels themselves… idk about Abu Dahbi specifically tho
How many times I seen this I’m wondering how did they pack all those bags in 1 hour
Charlotte is so annoying
They’re all fucking annoying in this movie
Shoes for everyone!
❤so cute!❤
If they had kicked them out of the hotel because of carrie being innapropriate you people would have gone crazy
The best movie ever.
It is such a bad movie, the level of ridiculous stereotypes is insane
It’s SATC I mean 😂
They had the money for a night
I am more smarter. I am more sweeter. I am more brilliant. I am more loved. I am more elegant. I have more brains. I have more grace. I have more willingness to give. I am more hope. I have more heart. I have more faith. I have more Allah.
Nice
Love that the shopkeeper kept her passport and declined the money. True Islam personified. And Carrie saying,"thank Allah!" ❤
Someone that works in PR ... And makes this mess?
Was it $22,000 (USD) or Dhs 22,000 (~$6,000 USD)* per night?
_*~ 3.67 AED = $1 USD_
The room was HUGE so I would assume $22K USD
@@Puda Why would a hotel in Abu Dhabi have rates in U.S. currency?
@@Debthouse sadly, because it’s SATC and writers couldn’t care less. Have you ever watched the series??? Also because the manager is talking to US people and knowing that they won’t do a simple math so he makes it easy for them. If you have ever been to the US, Americans just assume EVERYTHING is in USD (or made for them because they are the center of the world!) and you can tell with that movie!
@@Puda If you can point to exactly where in the film it is confirmed that they are, in fact, giving the rates in USD, I will concede.
How would me visiting the U.S. support your point that Americans assume
"everything is in USD?" Wouldn't everything be in USD in the U.S.? I don't need to visit a country to know that they would use their own currency for the majority, if not all, transactions.
Also, I am quite familiar with the _SATC_ franchise. I have also visited Abu Dhabi on multiple occasions. I have many friends, relatives, and colleagues who are American and I cannot think of one person who behaves in the manner you suggest. That is not to say that you are incorrect that such people do not exist, but your claim that it is a universal American trait embodied by every American would be inaccurate.
@@Puda The UAE and the USA have very different costs per square foot respectively.
These women are ridiculous
$22K a night is insane, imagine that in todays money
Thanks for the current inflation, Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda and Carrie would start to pack even faster
🧡🤩✌🏻
Lord I’d forgotten about the racist background Aladdin music. This movie was such an abomination.
I suggest to everyone to stop watching this movie immediately after this scene. You can thank me later.
This movie is actually racist garbage dressed up as cotton candy.
Charolette irritated me in this scene.
" Charolette" 😂.. but yeah anyway she is irritating in EVERY scene if you ask me ..
@@InsaneNuYawka watching the series as an adult, I realized that Charolette needed a different friend group. Everything was centered on Carrie and Charolette’s support was never reciprocated by the rest of the girls.
I actually enjoyed this movie a lot despite whatever criticism it got 🥲
