I do agree but these were built in limited numbers (750 for uk) so would of complicated things to have 3&5door options so I imagine that was the reason, plus was £40k plus new I think it was the most expensive hatch at the time 😅😂
The 3 door's a nightmare if you have rear passengers. I had a 2006 A3 3 door years ago and when you folded the seat forward it'd also slide all the way forward on the rails, then slide back to it's set position. As much as I love the wingbacks in my current 8P S3, the seat rails don't do that and the seats don't 'hinge' much. Not very practical. Have always been tempted to get some RS3 style front arches but not sure if it'd look too wide for the proportions of the body. The Sportback is only 12mm longer but the extra doors do make it look longer. Most days I prefer the look of my 3 door but do also like the 'mini-estate' look of the Sportback, has to have roof rails though.
Yeah indeed , it's just not usable power, I have an 8p with stock hybrid turbo (TTE500plus) running 522hp and 700nm and I bet it's faster than this 0-120ish which is just public road speeds. It will be faster at high speeds but what the point, you'll just lose your license.
@@bigmoney4685tbh if hes saying its in the 5’s 100-200 i wouldnt say it was 800bhp, theres a white s3 8p up in scotland that does 100-200 in 5.43, and quarter mile in 10.1, and that is only 630bhp.
These RS3’s don’t sound as fast as they are going I’ve noticed… but that’s no reason not to believe his claim of 800hp, a 400hp Skyline R33 with a straight-pipe and sequential gearbox is going to be a fair bit slower than this RS3 but will more than likely sound a fair bit faster.
