Wow Tracy! When you added the white pencil you could almost feel the fabric softening up. Then adding the shadows just did it. You made it a believable piece of lace. Fantastic! ♥

Thank you Lisa! The music I use comes from royalty free music in the UA-cam studio. It’s a while since I made this video so I can’t remember the name and artist of that piece.

Beautiful, are you using normal card stock paper, i am just getting into this with watercolour and a zen on top of colour.
Thank you Deborah! The black is normal card stock. The tan and white tiles are Zentangle tiles bought from Zentangle.com. These are a good quality 100% cotton tiles. I often use Strathmore mixed media paper in white or toned. If I’m using watercolours I use watercolour paper as it handles wet media where normal card stock doesn’t. I hope that helps.

Amazing how such simple drawings can recreate such a complex material so realistically. The englaise one looks like eyelet! I also didn’t think the nautilus ones would work but once I made them with white and filled with pencil it looked exactly like lace!!! 👏👏👏
