How buckets are born - A visit to Digbits

I visit Digbits manufacturing facility in Rugeley, to see how they make their buckets and attachments right here in the UK. I check out the high tech CNC machines, skilled welders and engineers that make my beloved rake buckets come together.
I also discuss bucket pins snapping and the causes behind it, along with an in depth discussion about the BAV range of crusher buckets

Vr interesting just had a 30in riddle bucket and a 4ft rake for my 8026 delivered fron dig bits yesterday!! Very good company to deal with.
Scandinavian style tilt bucket next.

I enjoyed the discussion about the bav crushers, I do find them a bit over priced though in my opinion, I love the sound of the MB crushers - there is a video of a komatsu pc210 running one with a automatic lehnhoff hitch... well worth a google 👍

MB are a different mechanism - would be ideal on a 210. Very much better suited to larger machines with higher oilflow. The ram type crusher buckets BAV do are only suited to machines below 20 tonnes. Their advantage is far bigger jaw feed area though, compared to the size and weight of crusher bucket.

Id love to see if these crusher buckets would work with an engcon….and get one in the USA, could also use a sorting rotating bucket to break up clay clods…
