I'm sat here getting rather drunk on my homebrewed & then distilled alcohol. I've not been anywhere on the bike since our lockdown relaxed a little other than up to my mates & back(under a mile) The entirety of this lockdown I've spent watching UA-cam,& as a result decided to dig out what's left of my homebrewing kit & set a couple gallons off fermenting whilst looking up a still on Chinese websites(the 3 orders I've made have always been cancelled by the supplier as the 1st order when it arrived wasn't the still I'd ordered but a bloody plastic folding funnel!)As the last order got cancelled yesterday,I decided to build my own still from bits n pieces I had about. The results are drinkable & somewhere about 40+% on the alcohol meter which is gonna get me really drunk & able to forget about bloody pandemics for a few hours. Not bad result for a few pounds of sugar, couple spoonfuls of bakers yeast & a bit of patience whilst it fermented. The DIY condenser from a metre length of 8mm copper tube proved the concept so I'll now buy a 2 metre length of the 8mm tube,& a large stockpot with lid I can fasten down & see if I can find a much larger fermentation container(large plastic drum kinda thing) I might even buy some proper brewing yeast as baking yeast soon dies from alcohol poisoning(probably about 8-10% ABV whereas brewing yeast can get up to around 20-25% ABV) With mk2 still,I reckon it'll not be long before the alcohol I've made exceeds the rate I drink it & I'll be able to go visit mates & get drunk with someone to talk to rather than getting drunk & chatting online :D
I know I’ve mentioned this before but I do rather enjoy your choice of music in these videos. Also, I ordered my AR slip on exhaust after watching your last video with AndyManCam 😎👍🏻
