BUILT K20 Civic EK - The Ultimate Daily?

- Now I know we all, at one point or another, dabbled with the thought of either purchasing a car that has been KSwapped or putting in the bucks and time into doing a KSwap in your own project. Yes, we know it holds virtue in terms of being a bang-for-buck swap, but the question is.. is it reliable as a daily commuter? Well, I am here to answer that very question.
I drive a Honda EK Ballade 180i B18 as a daily commuter. It is comfortable and reliable. When I turn the key, it gets going immediately and gets me to where I need to be. Surely, this is a notion shared by many others; we want a commuter that is reliable firstly, and then fast, secondly. Not everyone is after speed, but having that extra few ponies at your feet when the need arises, is without a doubt comforting in its own right. As such, before I commit to the Kswap Life, I wanted to test whether the same feeling of comfortability and reliability will be returned in the form of a car that already has this swap done… if only I knew someone crazy enough to hand over the keys to their project.. Enters Riyaad “Boenie” Isaacs of Worked racing.
Boenie, who just recently finished yet another Kswap, without hesitation offered to hand over the keys to his car for me to use as a daily commute. Emphasis on daily commute, although, his exact words to me when I said I might do some spirited driving were “enjoy”. And enjoy I shall.
So come with me on this journey as I ascertain what it’s like living with a KSwap car, which most would akin to being a streetable racecar, as a daily driver.

Shot bru! Not closing it, just LS is more geared towards DIY, whereas on my older platform which I used to document shows etc, I have a bit more freedom to explore.

How’s the gas miles on that k20 ek ?
It was pretty decent as long as I stayed out of VTEC haha. But normal driving, it was pretty much on par with my B18.

I wouldnt drive it as a daily just because it probably eats gas. I drive an hour to work.
Totally understandable. Although, fuel consumption was relatively good, especially when compared to my bone stock B18. It's just when I hit VTEC nonstop.. Where, then it was thirsty haha
