It is Routine to surface no matter how long you have been submerged. Depending on what type of transit lane your in or in the middle of the ocean, there are surfacing procedures you go through, unless you have had to emergency blow. Then you have to hope nobody is above you. Normally you will come up to 150ft. Slow down. Trim out the ship. Make preperation to come to periscope debth. As you are coming up to PD. You raise the periscope and you are looking for shapes and shadows. Sonar is calling out all contacts to the Con. When it is clear on the surface, then we will surface the ship. The problem is if the vessels on the surface are not making any noise. We surfaced at night one time in the middle of a fishing fleet. They were trolling and had their engines off. The USS GEORGE WASHINGTON sufaced Underneath a chinese freighter. It was dead in the water. She ended up putting a ESM mast through its rusty hull. The freighter sank pretty quick. The GW had the most peace time tonage sunk during Peace time. So shit happens. MMC/SS A-GANG RET.
So very proud of them! Lord, please keep them safe! I wonder how many are from the San Diego area, as there is a large Marine base down there.

@@skyedog24 it’s not a single source. It’s not all 🇺🇸 there’s a fair bit of SAAB footage, and I’m presuming other. And it was pretty confusingly mixed with the audio narrative.

I would think it would be better to remain above the water. To much accidents, and no sunlight. It's kinda crazy all the money spent on wars when countries can't learn to talk to one another. I'm for the military, but all that nuclear stuff could be spent supplying electricity to many homes. It's really sad to think we need nuclear weapons to protect ourself, and other countries want to hurt others. You would think that nuclear energy could do something instead of siting there lol.

Куда всё катится, если мировая финансовая система выделяет права на инициативу за какого либо инициативного человека, создавая ценность денег не фактической ценностью дел, а вымогательством лишения инициативы? Это негативная мотивация, и всё равно, что распределять воздух - то есть дно рациональности и змеиной низости, когда гуманитарно приемлемый порядок невозможен.
Деньги - необходимость обмена услугами, и будет достаточно институциональной IT инфраструктуры общедоступного «виртуального принтера», где источник денег - любой человек. И тогда мировая политика, финансовым вымогательством ведущая к войне и самоуничтожению, экспансивно станет мирной и созидательной, создавая деньги благотворительностью, на которой и основан мир, когда, к примеру, врач сможет лечить любого - и именно так образованы деньги.
Ошибка и преступление лишать людей свободы позитивного развития, особенно сегодня, в сети. Но важно, чтобы все представляли собой предмет взаимной заботы и источник дохода для способных на услуги. И тогда войны, террор и преступность потеряют смысл, исправленный «виртуальным принтером» оплаты по рыночным ценам экономически обоснованного гуманитарного развития человека: врачам, учителям, спасателям, СМИ, строителям, IT, фермерам… выявленным свободным рынком, для регистрации денег сразу, по сети, чтобы так каждый мог создавать их услугами, определёнными законом и профессиональной состоятельностью, по ценам и условиям, полученным и разработанным лидерами свободного рынка, в этой образовательной, общедоступной IT программе.
Сейчас мы живём в перевёрнутом нами, конкурирующем за “принтер”, негативном мире, где война, голод детей, гибель биосферы - состав тяжелейшего глобального преступления. И сколь бы, по привычке к плохому, ни казалось невероятным IT преобразование, будучи осуществлённым, оно экспансивно(!) распространится, отключая зависимость от дурной власти, ни для кого тогда незначимой, и прекращая войну властью разума людей, защищённых взаимными услугами. В гуманитарно полноценной, рациональной финансово-правовой системе, когда каждый в центре внимания системы измерения ценностей, границы государств не будут причиной конфликтов, войны станут невозможны, а люди и культуры смогут свободно развиваться, обогащая жизнь друг друга, когда армии профессионально займутся не уничтожением жизни, а её защитой: гуманитарной и экологической, требующей ещё более совершенного оборудования и предельных усилий, чтобы Земля не превратилась (по расчётам геофизиков, к 2036 году) в покрытый ржавчиной Марс, где это уже произошло, нам в назидание и предупреждение, как и всё зло, допущенное Свыше, чтобы не стало "ещё хуже".
Уже потеряно несколько десятилетий, когда армии должны бы профессионально заниматься не угрозами и войнами за «право» распоряжаться «принтером» наших прав, а их защитой. В частности, направляя усилия на спасение жертв бедствий и устранение разрушений. А глобально, на защиту жизни планеты утилизацией пластика из океана и регенерацией отходов и СО2 в неограниченно, круглый год возобновляемую растительность тропиков, чистую воду и сады, идеальные для жизни, которые тогда (как когда-то леса) вновь покроют планету, превращая отходы в растения и запуская естественную циркуляцию воды инфраструктурой подачи влажного воздуха океана, от линии прибоя в центр пустынь тропиков, магистралями в виде глобальных «парников», формируя климат, сохраняя природу всех стран и сглаживая климатические потрясения.
