Sabaton? this is the pure essence of hammerfall and rhapsody and helloween and etc, etc, etc ... if you compare with one band, you don't know nothing about powermetal.

The reason why people mention Sabaton, is the intro which is very reminiscient with "Lion From the North". But I agree that it also has similarities to bands like Hammerfall and Helloween.
Lol, if u can't hear that this is 99% Sabaton then u have never heard Sabaton in your life and know nothing about powermetal. There's millions of power metal bands out there, but only ONE Sabaton. So, when another band invokes the idea of Sabaton from the very first second, it's not an accident, it's not just a similarity, it's copying. Bloodbound NEVER sounded like Sabaton, until the previous album when they had just done an extensive tour with them...
There might be "pure essence" of a lot of bands, but when the main riff resembles "Lion From The North", then it is hard not to compare BloodBound to Sabaton...

The fact is there has NEVER been any band that has sounded THIS much like Sabaton! Or any band that has sounded like Sabaton at all! :D :O Bloodbound never was original, but they never sounded like any particular band either... until they discovered Sabaton :(
Try Powerwolf. I believe they and Sabaton sound way more alike.
alban rebuffel Sabaton? I really don't feel it to be honest, i listen to lots of sabaton. It would be nitpicking to say what reminds me of it, and then again that would be the case woth a lot of other power metal bands.
Makes sense though. Sabaton is like Powermetal for beginners. It's a band everyone's heard of that leads to learning about other kickass bands.

There have been a lot of great power metal releases lately.
People saying it's like a new Sabaton song? I don't think so, some sabaton vibes in the chorus but I hear just as much Stratovarius in there. vocals similar to Kotipelto at times. I also think of the band Dionysus when I listen to this.. decent track but a bit generic.
The Chorus has also a huge touch of Nightwish Wishmaster - on speed that is.

Powerful vocals, reminds me of Avantasia's singer. I just found about Powerwolf, and somehow it led me here. It has been a great week!

I have many years to listen this band but i think that they changed their sound, i remember songs like "metal monster" which was one of the best original heavy metal songs... and now this song....reminds me "power" bands... you can find one million bands play like this..

I would say that older Sabaton was close to epic but newer ones are just good.... I think you can heard repeating of old ones in new songs. They also don't have such weight as old ones have. Good songs and all but not what it was.
