A few fun facts: 1. Kevin Williamson, the scriptwriter, confirmed that Stu was the one who killed Casey in the opening. 2. When Stu brings him out to Sidney, Neil Prescott is wearing the same clothes he was wearing early in the film. This means that Billy only talked to Sidney to distract her from Stu kidnapping her father. He even plays music so Sidney won’t hear the struggle.
This movie is what flipped the horror genre on it's head. Everyone expected Drew Barrymore's character (woman at the beginning) to be the main character and survive as she was used so much in the promos and posters. One of the best reactions channels out here. Thought I was already subbed to yall my b. Subbed now. If neither of you have seen Arcane yet, would love to see a reaction series. Especially with the new season getting released yesterday
This was a hilarious reaction that had me rolling time and time again! This is my all-time favorite horror movie, in large part because it's so funny with so much iconic dialogue that I still quote to this day. I saw the movie in the theaters with a bunch of my friends in high school when it was released and I've loved it ever since. But if you're looking for truly terrifying movie, then I recommend "The Ring" (US version).
Funny you mention 13 Ghost, when I was 3-4 my mom had a VHS copy of it. Whenever she turned her back I would sneak it in the player. Between managing the house and my two baby brothers she finally gave up. I guess she thought it would finally scare me and I would stop. It was my favorite and I used to watch it over and over.
The horror genre was struggling and Scream revived it. Wes Craven got the idea when they couldn't catch a serial killer (Gainesville Ripper)in Florida. It was a smaller community and he terrorized them for 3 years so they knew he was local. It got to a point that everyone suspected their cousin or ex-husband etc. He realized that was way scarier than a monster.

This was my first scary movie as a kid. There’s a lot of satire comedy in the movie. If you notice the scary movies they poke fun at are Wes Craven movies. He was making fun of himself.Originally the studio said there weren’t enough kills in the movie which is how the principal and cameraman ended up getting knocked off.
Was so used to seeing Brandon be pessimistic about character death in Game of Thrones that it felt weird seeing him root for the characters to survive lol
All right gentlemen you are starting a f****** fantastic franchise and believe me even though the killers are dead there is a place to go with it and there are a lot of family members brought in throughout the series trust me gentleman it's a wild ride and I love it there's a 7th one coming out soon so binge! 😊👍
The scariest movie I've ever seen was a Dutch psychological thriller called The Vanishing (1988). Hollywood did a remake in 1993 that's not nearly as good because part of what made the original so scary was taken out.
Great video, guys, but to answer your questions, this franchise was never viewed as something particularly frightening. It's more as a whodunnit/slasher hybrid with a playful sense of self-awareness. I've only seen the original 3 films, and can confirm they are worth a watch. As for suggestions of other "scary" movies: have you seen the Sixth Sense or Saw? Those are my suggestions. They're technically horror films but I don't considered them especially scary. Sixth Sense is more a suspense/thriller/drama with genuinely tense moments but it's SO good. Best performance by a child actor I have EVER seen, and one of my favorite movies. And Saw is another one that reactors tend to be surprised isn't as scary as they expect. It's more whodunnit torture porn that devolves into a gorefest soap opera after a few films, but the first two are definitely worth watching (even if some of the editing is a bit dated to me, overall it's held up well, especially considering the original was super low budget and done by some college kids) and the sequel is a worthy continuation. If you want to be genuinely scared and SHOOK, I'd go with Hereditary. No spoilers, but what I said at the end of my own reaction to it was, "Can I take legal action against the director of this film? Because I feel genuinely traumatized and violated." It's emotionally devastating, and I'm too fond of you guys to suggest it without warning you about that, but it's also a very well-made film.
This is one of my favorite movies, and not just because it's horror. It did revolutionize the horror genre though, as it was the 1st horror movie to have 2 people be the serial killer. It was a huge twist at the time.
I know this two think that old scary movies were not as scary as today's, and is true to a certain degree, we now have better technology but I would like them to react to Texas chainsaw massacre to prove them that you don't need great effects to make a movie scary, sometimes the most cheap it looks the better.
Ahhhh welcome to my favorite horror franchise! This movie changed horror, everyone was taking about it and by word of mouth made it skyrocket in the box office after doing terrible numbers the first few weeks. People said the first 15 minutes of Scream 1996 is the scariest shit they'd ever seen...and it was pretty terrifying. And I think Scream 2 is the best horror sequel EVER
800 numbers were free, 900 (and later 976) were the ones you paid for. Like, "99 cents the first minute, $3 each additional minute" kinda stuff. Also, the Scream movies aren't particularly scary but I've always enjoyed the "who's the killer?" angle.
21:23 "anti kkk fit" lmao! just found this channel and im loving ya'lls reaction! im going to go watch a couple more to catch up, if you guys liked this another fun scary movie is cabin in the woods. someone mentioned Heridatary and that would be my pick for Scariest since you guys like when its supernatural but could be realistic and that fits with it. I would also say an equal recommendation would be Exhuma" its a korean horror movie- its not really about jumpscares its more of a psychological thriller kinda horror with paranormal elements. so if you want a different type of vibe thats my recommendation like its one of those movies if you're into it you can feel the tension but if it doesnt hook you its mid kinda thing if that makes sense. Heridatry came out 2018, Exhuma 2024
Scream wasn't supposed to be extremely scary; it's a whodunit slasher. It's beloved because of how fun it is.
That and it's a send up of the very same slashers that it referenced throughout the film. The fact that the Scary Movie franchise started as a parody of Scream is some real ouroborus shit. In the best way possible.

The last Blockbuster is in Bend Oregon, it still opened today and ran by the original owners of Blockbuster.
Fun fact. Scream was originally supposed to be called “Scary Movie.” Then the Scary Movie series we all know showed up later.
Cheers to my crazy strict religious parents working nights and not realizing we had stolen hbo😂
This is one of my favorite movies, and not just because it's horror. It did revolutionize the horror genre though, as it was the 1st horror movie to have 2 people be the serial killer. It was a huge twist at the time.
😂what is that? Quick turn look- "that's popcorn!"

They were cheering because the principal expelled them earlier that same day. So it was like a F you to him.
“That’s a lil diddy”😭😭😭
I know this two think that old scary movies were not as scary as today's, and is true to a certain degree, we now have better technology but I would like them to react to Texas chainsaw massacre to prove them that you don't need great effects to make a movie scary, sometimes the most cheap it looks the better.
God I love you boys❤ I get so excited when I see a new video posted from you guys ❤😊
13 Ghosts would be a good one....lol
Candy man or tales from the hood
Hereditary is a must watch - one of the only actually scary movies of this generation
My favorite reactions from you guys!🤣
13 ghosts, pretty please😊
