As far as the conforming process, yes, tape name is very straightforward with an AAF to resolve workflow.

With recent versions of media composer, you can use other fields tape in place of Tape name without a problem. If you’re transcoding in another program though you may have to add a tape name, which is not a big deal. The main reason I don’t like tape name is the process of adding it in media composer is so clunky.

Isn't the tape name make the confirming process easier over AAF for colour grading software such as Resolve?
