Hey Scale! I modded a server a couple years ago and the "custom" folder i believe was automatically in there. Im trying to mod a server again but the "custom" folder is no longer in with the "db" and "env" folders. In this case, would i just "create a file" and name it custom? lol send help plz
LOVE your stuff!. I have 2 questions for you: 1. Can one hire you (against payment) to review / tweak a PC Nitrado Server?. I recently started fresh after a 4 month break and am having several different issues. 2: Is it possible to join your server when you are playing?. I would love to play and learn from the Master himself. Just a one time thing???.
One thing I'll say, I've ran and helped out with quite a few servers and the ones that I have set up I've always gone thru the types item by item and adjusted loot (not just numbers but tiers, DE, etc) so its balanced and the way I want that server to be. I've been on quite a few boosted loot servers that have been done by others and they are nearly always awful because they boost everything so you find 10 m16's in polana or 30 in nwaf and the server is laggy and slow cos its full of pointless loot nobody wants. This may not seem like a massive issue but honestly it is, dayz boosters is definitely a massive step in the right direction tho as going thru the types takes hours 😂
I also do this, on my own servers. What amazes me is on a blank vanilla Chern - loot still spawns in 2's and 3's still. Shows PC's cannot do random numbers still. They couldn't when I was coding BBC micros in the 1980's nothings changed :)
Thank you!!! Quick question. Even after you uploaded the file there is still only one file on your screen that says “types” do you delete the original from the server?
@@softtaco8264 nah unfortunately none of the changes work idk y tho ive watched a bunch of your vids and copied them but its hasnt worked im new so its a lil disappointing for me and my friends

You can, but perhaps keep a backup. The new files just replace the old.
