Mine just started doing this at the worst time. I then tried the new pulex and since the silicone was new the pad wouldn't flip and stay back either. 2 story dormers too so luckily I had a spray bottle that squirts like 20 foot so I could wet it and take the pad off to squeegee. I could have WFP those suckers had my DIY tank gotten its gasket an hour earlier. I was wondering how to fix this. I could have sworn there was a video about taking it apart a ball detent....anyway will try. I was going to try a magnet epoxy to swivel and embed another into the scrubber somehow, just enough to catch and release with a jerk.
You can use hot water from a kettle to soften the plastic and then use some multigrips to squeeze the plastic in the same spot as this video, but go slow it only needs small adjustments.
