68W here, currently on rotation in the clinic for my BN. Have a new PA who did the PA was a vet tech prior and is currently helping me get the process started of doing what she did was the IPAP. For anyone looking into it, its a great route from what she said but also this video shines light on pro and cons.
Hey Deborah, if you have a wound from a skin biopsy (shaving) that's about 1/4 inch, and it's not bleeding, should you keep it covered, or uncovered? Should you use any ointments? The Internet tells me everything, but I know you would have the right answer.
Hello, I’m thinking about going back in as reserves. I’m thinking of reclassing to 68F, physical therapy assistant. Would this MOS help towards the IPAP? My end goal is either a PA or DPT. Also, as a whiskey are you then certified as an EMT? Since im thinking of reserves, I want to be able to work while I work towards my degree.
A medical background would help, but you wound need to find a way to log hours working under a military PA, along w some LORs. A whiskey is certified as a EMT on a national level through their NREMT.
I’m 15 I’ve currently gotten really into medicine these past years. I know for a fact i want to be a physician assistant when im older. What can i do now to help me prepare to become a navy (pa) later in life. Currently i have some certifications.
This is a really good question! I’m very happy that you are thinking about this now. They can for leadership, volunteer and what makes you unique! So do something no one else that applies can compare or has done. I’m going to make a video more focused on this!
Thank you for making this video! I plan on commissioning next year once I graduate and my goal is IPAP. I would love to email you if you have the time 😊
@@deborahalbanez3003 just go medical doctor. The pre-reqs are just as demanding, and you get the actual title. You’ve got a Truck driver and an IT guy, you should 100% go medical doctor and step ahead. You have years in the emergency setting and extracurriculars at serving God. I believe you’d make an excellent medical school student, your articulation alone is already leagues ahead of these two. I would not sell your self short of being the top.
This is so interesting! As someone who wants to join the military after college I’ll definitely look into this. Thank you for this video!
This is a useful resource for all prospective PA students. Well done.

Just saw GoArmy post "Live A Day In The Life Of An Army Combat Medic". Thank You for serving 🇺🇲
If I could do it all over again I would go PA. My recruiter lied to me, only had to complete 15 more credit hours to apply.
I ran into Quan at Wheaton. He was responding to a Box Alarm
Very helpful video thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Do you need your SAT score if you have a bachelors degree? or does the SAT you are mentioning something else
SAT or the ASVAB?
What's the rank commissioned as a P.A graduate?.
Once you graduate PA school, you will commission as a 1LT (0-2)

Is there an entry level job in the Army that can lead to pa schooling?
68w if you take advantage of it
@@gaythugsmatter7029 68C is better and gives a degree.
All MOS qualify for IPAP but it’s best to be 68C to get if you want the best route imo
