I love watching these videos of the newer models with all the space age technology, bells, whistles, electronic controls, computer screen displays, all kinds of ergonomics, all the best latest and greatest stuff, and the when he closes the door the hinges let out a loud screech! they can put a man on the moon but they can't stop door hinges from squeaking..
Thanks for the great tour Justin. She looks like a great machine to operate. Makes me drool just looking at all those controls in the cab! Give me a day on her and I could make her walk and talk lol
Thanks for uploading another excellent teaching video. Since I've subscribed to your channel, I think I've watched all the videos. I wish there were more but I appreciate the time and research it must take to film and produce one, until the next one, thanks.
tooez90 Thank you! Yes, my documentaries do take a lot of time to research and shoot. But quality is important to me along with presenting a good informative and entertaining video to my fans!
Ah, good. Finally a new machine documentary. It must be cool operating one of these machines. You make really great videos and I have seen them all now, keep up the good work! :)
Love watching your videos! Your doing a great job so keep it up! Its really cool too because I live in pa as well I've actually seen a couple of the machines you've done your videos on just driving around lol
Same setup as a 980 except got the wobble stick. Cats are Cats. I ran a wobble stick 115 Z-IV . I can go either way on a wheel or a stick just depends on what you have. Got to pay the light bill somehow! Good Video, Pal.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! I was just doing some research on the new John Deere 944K which has a 9 yard bucket. I was trying to find a Cat counterpart. Bingo! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
SmokeStack684 Haha, your welcome, and I'm glad you enjoy my videos! I make them for people who are interested in mining and heavy equipment and want to learn about it
When Cat's STIC system came out, it was mainly targeted at the large production sized loaders, however today almost all of Caterpillar's wheel loaders feature electro-hydraulic steering, as do most other loader manufactures.
Thanks Justin I always look forward to your vids. That would be very different trying to steer something this big with a joystick. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Patrice Le Brasseur as I work in a mine in Florida and surprisingly enough none of the loaders are just a joystick matter a fact they have the lever to the left that exchanges the machine to forward to reverse

They're allot nicer to run than an F model BUT an F will out dig a G or an H any day hands down no question

That is a nice wheel loader!!!awesome video as usual I have a question for you about the 980 8Kdid they put the steering wheel back in for that model?
Top quality videos as always, really appreciate what you do..
You think someday you will get some footage of the 988F?
+Sooty Mangabey I'll try, however I don't see many 988 sized loaders. I do have the original 988 planned for a documentary
Another awesome video :-)
you make the best video I wish you would one on the cat 797 or the cat 994
+Robert Jackson I can't say for sure about a 797, but the 994 will be coming up in a documentary
Cool video and lots of information. Are most of the loader MFGs going to the joystick steering or just Cat? Always following videos!!

We have a 988g where I work cool machine but I prefer our wa600 more tho!
why isnt the loader control a joystick too ?
I could never understand that myself
are all large loader like that or is it specific to wheel loader ? all modern backhoe loader i've operated are with joystick control
Patrice Le Brasseur as I work in a mine in Florida and surprisingly enough none of the loaders are just a joystick matter a fact they have the lever to the left that exchanges the machine to forward to reverse
ok, rigth here!
Great vid but average machine our Ks are lovely tho

memyselfand ifarmer No, I can't say that I have. I don't run into many track loaders on surface mines
