There are absolutely hearts and meat and during the big chain of bosses at the end of Bonk on the Turbo. You break the blocks above you in those little tunnels!
Those big "sprites" on the nes probably aren't sprites. Notice the background is black. One common trick to put big bosses in NES games was to make them part of the background.
Just to let you know the turbografx 16 has a top of the line 8 bit CPU with a 16 bit ALU sitting on top of a 21 bit address bus all running at 7.16 MHz! And two 16 bit graphics processors, one was dedicated to a 512 colors palette with 482 on screen, 241 for background graphics and 241 for moving objects and sprites!!! Not two 8 bit processors! I'm not judging you because when it first came out I was told the same thing! And I believed it!!!! If we were told the truth I bet it would've sold better because the specs were pretty good!!!!
The tg16 really shows it power with intense shooter games with no slowdown, plus it's got great color and sound capabilities, all in all it was a real contender in the 16bit wars, software support in North America is what killed the system, not it's specs.

I always played the nes version, which honestly is a little easy, I tried today the turbografx version, the turbografx feels more alive and it's definitely harder, both versions are very good, but I prefer the turbografx version
Bonk's music is so stinkin' catchy.
Gameboy has twice as fast a cpu compared to nes.
I never knew the NES version looked that good
Its fun. To bad it so rare 😞
Been meaning to ask who what does the "Second Opinion Gamesss!" vocal?
Words are hard :) in the title card it is a Scottish robot slowed down. I thought it sounded cool.
Very interesting. It ends up sounding a bit scandinavian to my ears :-)

That’s some tricky stuff 😃
Don't think the neo geo had a mascot
At 200$ per game at the time. Maybe they should have 😊
"Turbo Graph" sounds like productivity software

Turbo grafix has an 8bit cpu and a 16 bit gpu
Magnum force Mopar yup u r right but the 8 bit CPU is almost twice as fast as the SNES CPU and it has two 16 bit gpu's!

Nintendo really should have found a way to spell their system name with an X
The best version is on the AMIGA, even better that then Turbo GrafX-16 original!
I didn’t even know their is a amiga version 😳
