Must be awesome having your car in a 1/10 RC scale model, being able to throw it around is awesome too. I still remember your S13 Discount Tyre car from HPI, that looked insane as well! R/C cars are so much fun! The aftermarket hopup options are pretty insane. There are RWD drifters out there and you can have a counter steer kit on it to aid RWD drifting, check it out when you have time.
Hpi is great model for start but it take lot of work to make it better and perfect. You have to put brushless motor, better servo, better controller. Etc
It's because of the tamiya connectors on the battery and ESC. Tamiya connectors wear out quickly so change them with xt60 connectors. Ask a local hobby shop or a local club to install the pligs. The upgrades cost less than $10 and if it's actually a faulty ESC , there is a 1 year warranty on the electronics.
You think It's cool because of sponsoring and the fact that HPI doesn't have real Drift RC chassis. 4WD IS NOT A DRIFT. Try Yokomo YD2, Usukani or at least MST RMX ... :)
Hahaha 4WD is still a drift. I'm not really sponsored by HPI. They just made a kit based on my comp car and I'm just happy about it. As I said in the video, I tried those rwd drift RCs and I think those are really cool but are too hard for me. I think a lot of people can related to me specially when you just started. You can drift like Ken Block with this one!
the whole drive train is steel and all bearings. tamiya kits at the same price is all plastic and can't handle brushless at all. The tamiya years will strip and you have to buy upgrades. this hpi chassis is 3s brushless ready and mine hit 82mph without spending anything extra on the chassis so it can handle brushless 3s
Dai is fun to watch, he seems like a nice and humble person. Congrats on having your own HPI Drift car/model!

Bro I have this car I’ll be doing some upgrades to it soon, love it man! Happy new year!
Big fan of RC for awhile. Finally a BRZ that's Ready To Run and high quality.
@Keenan 556 that is true, but the quality seems to be fair enough for that MSRP
That BRZ is tough, by the way loved watching you in FD
I absolutely Love Hpi Racing. They had soo many parts and accessories.
Dai Many more blessings your way this year and more Brother I will definitely go out and pick one up in support of your Race Team n #HPIRACING

Now he needs a nitro rs4 😉
this car has skills for drifting, change custom mods for racing, i don't own one yet, but thinking about it.
**UHH OK. GOOD THING I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT RC CARS.**
Please tell the link to buy
Why does mine stop going after a few mins of using it??? I have to turn it off then on and it’ll go again for 1min or 2 then stop
Esc might over heat and shut down. Possibly a bad one, it happens with such a volume built. Hope it helps!

I need to get this 😍
Might be my first
Should I buy one
Any updates to this chassis? I have the Vaughn Jr and Ken block, awesome cars
I'm not sure actually. Compare to my S13 model, it feels pretty similar so I don't think no major updates. I could be wrong tho!
RS4 is alot better than the E10 chassis.
I am so getting that then Vaughn gotten jr’s monster energy mustang XXIII Nitto mustang

Hpi. Over tamiya hpi RC cars capable of over 40 mph out the box
Det finnes Gyro for Drift RC bil, gjør at det blir bedre og lettere å styre / There is Gyro for Drift RC car, makes it better and easier to steer
Gyros don't work with AWD cars. Only RWD
Anyone have the link for this car
In description
you should try RWD.. like real car
Dai only gets hotter… No Homo… My man crush 🥰

You can still have fun with a AWD car. Everyone started somewhere.
I have mst rwd rc drift car but i think the 4wd is isier to find replacament parts very cool specialy you find more spare parts
Hpi is dead😔
The HPI model has no quality. EVERYTHING in the car is made of cheap plastic. I am sticking to old school TAMIYA TRF419XR.
Xray T4 is better son
