Hiking Mount Defiance

- Mount Defiance is another of the many peaks to be climbed off the I-90 corridor. It boasts one of the best views of the area, but it is a pretty long climb to reach the summit. Climbed this a few days after Father's Day with my dad to celebrate. The wildflowers were out in full bloom, enjoy!

Hi I hiked along the Ira Spring Trail No 1038 on June 26, 2024 and the creek of water is called Mason Creek and I like the mountain peaks views.

Those were some awesome views. That was a perfect Father's Day hike for you two. Washington in addition to having the most spectacular mountains, does have the most interesting place names. Last week Troublesome Creek, this week Mount Defiance, and the list goes on. 😎👍
I did this hike on June 21st. We were able to snag a perfect cloud free window to summit the defiance, especially that early in the season. It is totally awesome that you are doing this hike with your dad on fathers day. The wildflowers are amazing and the smell something that camera cannot capture. You got lucky on mosquitoes because we were swarmed by clouds of them around the Mason lake section. We were trying to find summit registry on the top to no avail, maybe it does not have one.
