@@LITMOVIESCENES I was there for both, we had our issues, but the neighborhood was great. I lived in Marina Village and walked to that mall every day given that was right next to my school Roosevelt. I was 7 years old.
the Hi Ho Mall (now Housatonic Community College) was sketchy as hell for the last 2 years or so of it's existence...garbage everywhere, including garbage overflowing out of the broken fountain, most stores were gone except for some nail salons and a couple of pager shops...Good times.
I was 8 years old and there when this happened. My mom felt something was going to happen. She kept us to the back next to the exit. We ran out of there and across the street to the library.
He called them punks because they were punks. They ruined the show. It should have been a good time and they ruined it. People probably lost a lot of money to boot.
Wow missed that one... walked to that mall almost weekly with my mom I was like 8 and they were my 1st favorite rap group... nice share thank you for that
Sad that this mall doesn't technically exist anymore. Wish I could have gone to that mall. But if was still open, without a doubt it would be sketchy as hell.
thats crazy u seen the racist anchor respond with "you think that many people will show up to the election there" and then smile and have that shitty grin on his face.... that was sad af :(
Your Race Card has been declined. Toby Moffet made a valid point and he is no racist. You are to quick to play the RACE CARD. It was a mob and near-riot. The punks ruined the show. Tody Moffett (Democrat by the way) took a jab at them and they deserved it. He was calling them uncivilized and the insult hit the mark. I saw plenty of white kids (probably the majority) in there so the punks were not all Black. In any event, he was making light of the situation.
@@intellectualsmoke You are full of shit. Racism was not cool back then. I was their age and we were not all card carrying members of the KKK like you have been told son.
I got Mr T's autograph in the same mall. I threw it away because I couldn't read it. I think he just scribbled some shit so he could get away from the hectic crowd.
@@NEELSAN76 shit was wild..cant bring a celeb to bpt like that lol...there aint shit else goin on the whole entire city gona show up...bpt and ct for some reason is quite starstruck..and haters of people wantin to be a star..if u from there u know..

Yeah, at that point, our neighborhood was dead anyway. I was lucky to live in during it's last enjoyable days. Now it is more than dead

Racism was all over the place on TV back then, and I mean everywhere unchallenged so it was seen as light hearted, but it was hardcore racism.
