Yeah defiantly a good DIY buy conplet assembly’s KYB is good brand. And if ur truck got the sensor shocks u gonna have to get them from dealer lotta people put regular one and then u have all the lights on dash
For those without an impact trying to remove the sway bar linkage: Use a wire brush and rust penetrant as shown. Then, insert an Allen wrench into the hex-shaped opening and put a wrench on the nut. Loosen the nut and gently turn as far as possible. If it starts binding, tighten the nut back down and spray again with penetrant. Let it sit a minute and then loosen again. You should be able to go a little further. Repeat the process. I was able to remove all my sway bar end links this way without any hassle. Just be patient.

Do the struts come with the upper bearing/bushing? I mean the one under the upper mounting plate.
If u buy the assembly it’s all a pack. But not struts alone
Looking for torque specs for 2018 Acura RDX front strut 2 pinch bolts go through knuckle and the single top strut bolt that goes through the center of the coil spring since I reused the factory coil spring? Thanks!!

I didn’t see you plug the shock sensor ?! I ordered after market shocks they didn’t come with the plug port for the sensors like the oem shocks
This is not equiped with that type of ride comfortably

Passenger side is the right side yes if u replace one do replace the other side
@@RBTheMechanic thanks for the reply. I just bought both strut quick strut. The box came broken and when I look at the strut the upper side where the 5x bolt goes is tilted to one side. it looks like it tilts more towards the long screw. Is this normal?

Yeah u will have all the lights on dash don’t by pass it do it propperly my friend did that it not same truck anymore

Sir my mechanic tried to change the strut for me but he couldn’t get it out and he told me i might need new control arms because for some reason when he force the strut out i will need a new control arm taking in consideration it is all new control arms installed few weeks ago is there any other way to do it

Great video my friend. I replaced my struts on my 2007 MDX but have the ADS light on the dash. Is there a resistor I can use to bypass this so the light doesnt come on? Im not concerned about sport/comfort as the vehicle is older now but still works great. What Ohm resistor can I use. Acura wont sell them to me. ugh thanks Rick
No resistor but u got the old shocks u can pull out the sensor
@RB The Mechanic thanks for your text. Sorry I meant I need a resistor because I went from electronic to base struts w/o connections for electronic comfort/sport. Now the ads light on the dash shows up because I need to fool the connection that I have a connection when I don't. Hard to find these resistors. Any idea how many ohms resistor I need ? There are some on Amazon but not sure which would work. Acura wont tell me ... thanks

@@RBTheMechanic my friend replaced about a month ago used 7 Ohm resistors (he told me will work any from 7-14 Ohm). works good as for now. im also gonna be replacing in couple weeks

Hi if one strut is bad do you have to change both struts or were both your struts bad. And awesome vid you made it look too easy!
To make it even u should replace both. And yes on this car I did both cuz they both were equally bad

@@ZiggyGood it dose it shows some light if u put on struts without sensor some of these have sensord shocks struts people use regular these struts. If it’s are equipped with those u have to put those in which are like $700 a strut

No shouldn’t have affect only if I removed and disturbed the threads on tie rods it would have been crital but however I should get alignment since we have changed struts things will be diffrent In height and small change due to the strut bolts on spindle

I bought the struts as complet assembly from my local partnstore
I replaced my struts about 3 weeks ago and I get this binding sound from the drivers side when I make a sharp left turn; then the car pulls hard left until I make a sharp right turn; then it straightens out. I was told the struts need to settle in place, but after a few hundred miles I would think they would be settled. Do I have a bad strut(s)?
I don’t think it’s bad strut double check ur work and then it could be strut was installed wrong top base did u buy complet assembly or

@@jflattum the top strut mount could be off I had sienna that rubbed and grinded on turns it was mounted wrong check for any rubs and scraches
@@jflattum check for issues one one side and just replace it if u still got warranty

No this dosent have the sensors I did the ones with sensor before u don’t need to program them

@@louiebasilio5496 nope it’s same thing just extra component but the new models have diffrent base with bore in spindle which is very complicated

I prefer KYBs over Monroe.
