- L M S Black 5 44871 seen at Ashwell with a class 47 heading to Norwich ready to work Norwich to Worcester charter. Then returning as far as Leicester when the 47 will continue the return leg to Norwich.
Great to see a steam loco on our metals this early in the year.

We would have tried to get a few more shots of it Bob, but she was running 25 late and we should have been at the track for boiler testing. I did manage to sneak off on Friday as well though. Are you visiting the WSR gala this year? Best wishes Chris

Hi Brian. I had seen this trip was coming but many thanks for the reminder. I managed to get a short break from working at the club to nip down to Ashwell on the Friday. Then Brooke Xing on Saturday before we went back again for boiler testing. It's all go for us pensioners. Best wishes to you Brian.
