Zebra Shark Medical Training

Medical training is essential to ensure animal welfare!
This time we would like to show you how we carry out a regular training with zebra sharks, thanks to which we are able to perform various medical check-ups on a voluntary basis among the animals. It is important to emphasize that the relationship between the shark and the care giver is extremely important because there must be trust and safety.
Since 2016 Loro Parque has demonstrated a resounding success in the reproduction of the species contributing to its conservation, as it is in danger of extinction and its population has decreased by more than 50% in the last 50 years.
