    i have the same rifle with the same inspection stamp, and the rods still in the butt stock. i love how the OEM ammo comes already in striper clips. now i just need the bayonet!

    Ballistic Stats, Gents-
    The 7.35 Carcano Rifle fires a near exact .30 cal, 128 grain Bullet of .280 BC @ ~ 2484 fps.
    With a fixed 200 meter Rear Sight, that puts the Round
    ~ +3" @ 100 yds,
    ~ +1.4" @ 200 yds,
    ~ - 10" @ 300 yds,
    ~ - 33" @ 400 yds,
    ~ -73" @ 500 yds &
    ~ - 133" @ 600 yds.

      The Finns added a taller front sight. So the 7.35 is zeroed at 150m, not 200m.

    M38 is basically the only Carcano that I actually like. Too bad 7.35 is virtually impossible to find lol.

    Ironic that Italy wanted to go to a larger cartridge but couldn’t, the British wanted to go to a smaller cartridge in 1913 but couldn’t and the US went to an even smaller cartridge in the 1960s but now is going to a 6.8.

    Where can I find this model with that bayonet included?

      I’ve not personally encountered one with the bayonet included, however you can usually find an original bayonet on EBay and the rifle on it’s own is usually pretty cheap (comparatively)

    So we are looking a M38 short rifle not a carbine?
    Clarification in the title would be great.👍

    • @GreatNorthwestWeaponry
      @GreatNorthwestWeaponry  2 роки тому +1

      Technically yes, the “Cavalry Carbine” is more accurately called a Moschetto, in general terms both are carbines

    Are you in Canada? Where do you find ammo for 7.35?

    • @GreatNorthwestWeaponry
      @GreatNorthwestWeaponry  3 роки тому +1

      I’m actually in the US, Steinel Ammo is the only manufacturer I know but if I’m not mistaken I think they either have or are going to figure out shipping to Canada, you’d have to reach out to them to find out. Thanks for watching!

    I have one of these, where do i find 7.35?

    • @GreatNorthwestWeaponry
      @GreatNorthwestWeaponry  3 роки тому

      If you are in the USA, Steinel Ammo makes great stuff. They are a bit backed up so there will be a waiting period (I believe it says on their website but it’s something like 8-10 weeks right now) that’s what I’m shooting throughout this video

  • @PublicJohn

    I have a 6.5mm carbine on the way to me. No luck on ammo

    • @GreatNorthwestWeaponry
      @GreatNorthwestWeaponry  3 роки тому +1

      If you are in the U.S. you can order it from Steinel Ammo, there’s about a 7-8 week waiting period currently but they make good ammo

      @@GreatNorthwestWeaponry I have them booked marked. Just wanting to see if the rifle is worth the effort. It is a gamble getting surplus from places like Classic Firearms. They have been good to me so far.

      I’ve heard of people getting real gems from them and some borderline horror stories, good luck!
