This video was made as part of The Korean Cultural Centre UK's K-Pop Academy.
Their outfit was all Dolce & Gabbana back then. Still the best quality music video for 4Minute.
I do think they put to much pressure on hyuna because of always making her the front of the group or overly sexualizing her also i felt like she was getting hate for something she couldn't control back then like the over sexualization of her when she was young also being always at the forefront

Whoohoo! Thanks for the reaction. The saxophone hook mixed with the house music style made "Volume Up" so catchy It felt more mainstream than their earlier Punky Brewster punk style from 2009. My faves = Hot Issue, Muzik, What's Your Name, What a Girl Wants, Heart to Heart. I think Hyuna's solo career concurrently lessened the impact of 4Minute in the mid-2010s. Im honestly surprised they never did a subunit group with Hyuna, Gayoon, and Ji-hyun.
Today, I feel like the new hot girl group Secret Number with Who Dis? reminds me of the formula of early 4Minute songs. Punky Brewster style..sassy..good saxophone hook and bridge.

I agree on the subunit with Hyuna, Jihyun and Gayoon! Their visuals were crazy and with those members they have a really nice mix of great rap, great vocals and great dance - they could have done anything and it would have been great! Honestly if those members had done something as a subunit in that 2013 - 2014 era where anyone and everyone was doing the sexy concept, we could have gotten a legendary song out of it.
I hope you continue to watch and enjoy our videos - new one coming on Saturday, and predictably it's a 2nd gen song, but a different theme to this series ;)
