      Fr. I got a haircut and I promised myself that I'll take better care of my hair each time. My hair used to be ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Washed once a week, (I have wavy hair so it looked super greasy). ONLY shampoo, almost never brushed, and a lot more. 👍 I got a haircut because I realized how bad my hair was… and now it's a lot better! Now I'll probably try some of her tips because I want my hair to look like *that* because- Who wouldn't?

      Use coconut oil or Olive oil. If your hair is dry, it means that it’s like an moisture. We tend to like straighten her hair or curl her hair with hot tools and we’re like basically sucking out all the moisture. It’s important to retain as much moisture as we can.

      Try blow drying your hair if you don’t already. Use a heat protectant, and don’t overheat your hair in the same place for too long, and it won’t damage your hair. This helps with oil control

    As an athlete who plays soccer and runs XC, there is no way I can go a week without washing my hair. Rinsing and conditioning it in the shower is not enough to make it clean for me. Train your hair! You can train it to not be as oily by going a week or so without washing (yes it will be uncomfortable and greasy), preferably when you don’t have to be many places that week. Afterwards wash it out gently and wait another week without washing (may still be greasy) and wash. As time goes on your hair should train to not produce as much grease (you can cut the week down to 4-5 days if your hair really doesn’t stop being greasy).

    No hate but straight hairs are actually easy to maintain as compared to curly hairs. So, take your time to understand that you can also look pretty with your curly hairs if you take care of them. Bro my hair gets oily after the first day 😢

    • @abbsterlicious
      @abbsterlicious Рік тому

      I used to have oily hair after the first day. Now I go 5 days. Sometimes I will rinse in the shower (no shampoo!!) and then even put a lil conditioner on the ends n rinse out. The thing is you have to go through the process of training your hair. Right now it’s creating excess oil because you wash it so frequently. It takes time but it’s so worth it. So first do every other day. If you’re embarrassed about it where a headband to hide your roots(that’s what I did while training my hair). You can use baby powder or dry shampoo in your roots to help with excess oil. Anyways once you start noticing your hair get used to the every other day n notice less n less oil production!! After probably a month or two start shampooing every 2 days. Then after that every 3 days and so on. It takes time but I promise it is so worth it n it WILL happen for you if you stay diligent n get through the initial few weeks!!!! :) I never thought I would be able yo do it either.
      Also ONLY SHAMPOO YOUR ROOTS! When you rinse it will clean your ends just fine without drying them out. N get a satin pillow cover. You can get faux satin of course it doesn’t need to be real. Also I wear a bonnet to sleep. I have wavy hair n that helps prevent friction while you sleep:) I hope this helps. :)

    • @em444
      @em444 Рік тому +4

      don’t wash your hair with shampoo often, oil your hair, use conditioner often, massage your hair

    • @maisielb1517
      @maisielb1517 Рік тому +5

      Main tip is always saturate your hair before you enter the chlorinated water. I get my hair drenched then cover it liberally with a thick leave in conditioner before i put it up. If you just get straight in the water with unsaturated hair your hair will soak up the chlorinated water like a sponge.
      Also ignore anyone telling you not to shampoo too often, ALWAYS wash your hair when you get out of chlorinated water, try not to let it dry into your hair. I like to use oil even on my wet ends to protect them from the shampoo (i like using a thick, gel consistency oil for this). I would use a mask on top of conditioning roughly every 2 days given how often you swim. Then always finish with a decent amount of leave in conditioner and hair oil.
      Then obviously make sure your other products like shampoos, and conditioners are all catered to dry hair, you want super nourishing and moisturising products.

      @NerdyMystic09 Рік тому +5

      It does. The oil is meant to stimulate hair growth, and can be used before or after. It's just that if you use it after then it adds to your build up before your next wash day.

    • @Rosemary33399
      @Rosemary33399 Рік тому +2

      It’s the perfect time to oil your scalp, functionally you’ll be washing it out afterward so you don’t have oil all over your scalp walking around like that, and it’s like double cleansing. Oil mixes with oil unlike water, it’s going to dilute your sweaty scalp oil and begin the cleansing, and your scalp will 100% still absorb the nutrients in the oil

    Your not suppose to leave oil in overnight. It can actually clog hair follicles overtime and collects dust. There's really no point to leave in more than 3 hours.
    Edit: I've stated in my comments my thoughts from real research done by hair specialists. So if you want to tell me leaving it on overnight or even days works for you then good for you but I still don't recommend it for everyone. Have a wonderful day!
