Experience the captivating essence of the Artist in Residence (AIR) project with Drake Music Scotland, showcased in this concert at the CvA. This video captures the concluding performance of an intensive three-day residency dedicated to Inclusive Composing.
In 2023, the CvA proudly welcomed Pete Sparkes and Ali Gillies from Drake Music Scotland for another enriching residency, following their succesful collaboration in 2021. From the 22nd to the 25th of November, they led an immersive programme, sharing their expertise in composing and performing within an inclusive ensemble. This ensemble, a diverse blend of musicians with and without disabilities, utilised inclusive music technology and adaptive instruments, embracing co-creation in its most dynamic form.
Drake Music Scotland, a leader in Inclusive Music Practices, strives to provide enriching opportunities for musicians and composers with disabilities. Their mission involves utilising music technology to foster learning, creativity, and performance, allowing for an engaging and inclusive musical journey.
