My daughter in her early 30's kept raving about the newer Honda Jazz looks. I traded mine for one after seeing a few. It did turn my head. I like a car that makes me smile when I see or leave it. The Honda Jazz 2019 Ex Navi does this for me. I was 56 at the time of buying. I have driven it and love hearing the engine noise (yes, some don't but I'm not them), and love all the bells and whistles it comes with. I generally feel very safe driving the car and will only ever buy Honda cars, yes have driven Ford, Rover and Vauxhalls in the past. It's a case of, to each his own, I own my Honda Jazz and very happy with it.
I bought a 2 yo one recently. Agree with some of his comments. However, he's probably around 50 years younger than I am and my needs are different. I've got for its build quality...its reliability and, almost 60 mpg average, and its space inside. Where can anyone use faster acceleration or higher top speed? And why? The roads are full of traffic anyway! I understand the spec of this car as in a previous life a commercial vehicle fleet maintenance engineer and a LGV driver. As a gigging musician, all my gear is swallowed up easily, and I'm confident I'm unlikely to be stranded somewhere. To me, a great car, maybe little 'street cred' but I don't give a ....
I decided to trade in my Honda CRV and thought about a Jaguar XF.I could not believe how difficult the Jag.was to get in and out of. I then tried a Jazz that my daughter - in-law owns, and to my amazement my wife and I found it very easy to get in and out of.We are both in our 70's ! This review says the Jazz is slow, but the automatic has a "sport" mode and that plus the paddle gear change on the steering wheel do increase the acceleration quite a bit. No one buys Jazz if you are looking for some motoring thrills,or undertake plenty of long journeys, but reliability and ease of driving are now top of my list at my time of life, and the Jazz was therefore my choice.
Great review. I've had three Jazzes, and have never had any issues. House moves, long distance commutes, long tours, all good. The new hybrid has very different characteristics - the electric motor more than doubles the torque, and although the top speed is lower (electronically limited), it feels far more powerful. I think your jumping through the magic seat rear would make a good Olympic sport. PS Glad your girlfriend likes it.
People modify these and raise them all the time. So if performance is an issue connect with the jazz community, Sunday I'll show you how to make them faster.
All part of Honda's reliability. It's a sophisticated engine criticised mainly by those who don't know how to use their right foot, Being normally aspirated it is more reliable than a turbo and costs less to service. Certainly an engine for the purist rather than the speed merchants.👍
In the UK it doesn't get so much attention because the target group in average countries are middle class moms who wanna take their children to school and then get to their workplaces for a relatively budget price. The car has low consumption and very cheap maintanence costs due to the simplicity of the petrol engine. In the UK the middle class moms just opt in for their unreasonably huge and expensive SUVs and call it a day.😊
Great review man. Bought the 2018 version recently. Indeed, It is a tad slow acceleration wise, requires quie a bit of revving to get it moving and the warning lights can be annoying, but overall, it is very fuel efficient and durable.
I have a 2018 pre regged which i paid £9500,with 50 miles on the clock ,i am reasonably jhappy ,we have two grandkids in it on regular basis so its messy most of the time,My concern is changing from 5th to 4th ,which i get wrong all the time and end up in 2nd,is it just me,The other thing is the flaming warnings flashing up all the bloody time ,the latest being the tyre deflation ,and the trying to get rid of it after you have checked the tyres are all actually ok,Yes there are just so many warning messages ,One minute i have emergency breaking then its not available ,OMG give me back my KIA
You are aware you can reset your tyre warning (look on you tube). Other warning messages are really there for your safety but I believe you can change or disable some.
You nail your flag to the mast early on, but I think you were pretty fair, overall. As a back-seat surfer though, you are clearly shit! 😄 Good job, fella!

Why does a small limousine need a better engine? It's not a racing car.

I have a 2019 one and it's not noisy at all! You're just soft.
I can hardly hear the engine and a friend said the same thing, how quiet it is.
Very true, I only hear it a bit but could be road noise or tyres for that matter lol

When I was his age I couldn't afford a push bike, but I did have a real girlfriend.
😂😂😂😂😂😂

Don't think your girlfriend slept that well, she looks a little deflated 😂
your cat does NOT have good taste ;)
The cat would do that in ANY car so very poor example

Thumbs up for the idiotic jumping through the car hahaha
