I do confirm : Bosnia is an amazing country to visit : very warm , helpful people , never trying to use you as a tourist. Atmosphere is lively : I felt peace and happiness with no reason , ( I believe that it is a very special place.) Greetings from NZ .Hope Bosnia would be soon absolutely free 🙏 from all current
limitations. Blessings and Love for all Bosnia and it's lovely warm, honest, clean people - let they gain back tourists as they do deserve to be visited to show their inner beauty and God's Love .

The video was awesome! Thank you all for visiting my hometown. I lived in the US for almost thirty years. I left Sarajevo when I was eleven during the war and only went back once in 2012. Mom did a good job explaining stories behind each historical site. There were slight mistakes there and there but overall not bad for someone who is first time visiting. Thumbs up from me! 👍😁

Essentially the same people that kept the longest siage of any city in modern history (Sarajevo) also assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, and they are Serbian nationalist. One more fact that you explained not correctly is Austria declared war on Serbia not Bosnia because Serbian government was supporting the assassin (terrorism against Austrian empire) the rest you explained correctly.

Did you guys know that the first Police officers were Bosnians during the Roman Empire. Bosnian men didn’t want to participate any more in the Roman Empire Army during the the 6. and 7. Century so the Roman King assigned Bosnians to restore law and order in the cities once the Roman military takes over the city and regions. People loved them because they were respectful to citizens and named them in Latin “ BOSNIACUMS “ which translates into English “ the kind and friendly men and that’s how Bosnia and the river that flows through Bosnia got the name BOSNIA. Also the river in the east of Bosnia is Called DRINA from the Latin name Drinus simply River because none of the names they tried to give to Drina wasn’t beautiful enough so they left the river without a name that’s why is called DRINA

15:10 NO, you are incorrect. The Assassin where Serb Separatist that murdered the Archduke and his wife. The Austrian empire then declared war at Serbian Kingdom across the border for the plot. The Germans, than too, declare war against Serbia, Then Russia declare war on Germany and Austrian Empire, all due to Alliances the whole of Europe went into war. BUT, it was common knowledge prior to the war, that Europe was a bomb ready to go off. That not if but when....and these Serbian Separatist, lit the fuse.

WW1 effectively started in Sarajevo because a young Bosnian Serb nationalist Gavrilo (Gabriel) Princip killed the Austro - Hungarian archduke and heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophia on June 28, 1914, but it wasn't that Austria - Hungary declared war on Bosnia (Bosnia was then part of Austria - Hungary), it declared war on Serbia a month later (July 28, 1914).
After more than 400 years of Ottoman rule, Bosnia was occupied by Austria - Hungary in 1878. Furthermore, it was annexed to Austria - Hungary 30 years later, in 1908, which caused problems in Vienna's relations with Serbia and Serbian ally Russia.
A secret society called "Mlada Bosna" ("Young Bosnia") was formed in the then Austrian province of Bosnia - Herzegovina, which contested the annexation of Bosnia - Herzegovina (Herzegovina is the southern part of the country) to Austria - Hungary. Their members were mostly (but not exclusively, since the country's population is and was ethnically very mixed) young Bosnian Serbs. After the assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand, the government in Vienna accused neighboring Serbia of conspiracy with "Young Bosnia", intending to detach Bosnia - Herzegovina from Austria - Hungary and annexing it to Serbia. So Austria - Hungary declared war on Serbia and that triggered WW1.

A small follow-up to the story of the Sarajevo attack. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In 1914 Sarajevo, along with all Bosnia and Herzegovina, was part of Austria-Hungary. The group of assassins (six people) to which Gavrilo Princip belonged, man who shot the Archduke and his wife, were Serbian nationalists. The originator of the attack and the man who trained and sent the assassins to Sarajevo was the head of the military intelligence of the Kingdom of Serbia, colonel Dmitrijevic. However, we do not know to this day, to what extent he had the support of the authorities of the Kingdom of Serbia and the military intelligence officers of the Empire of Russia. Austro-Hungarian authorities have discovered traces leading to Serbia. With the support of the German Reich on 26.07. 1914 issued an ultimatum to the Kingdom of Serbia demanding permission to conduct an investigation in Serbia and punishing all Serbian military and officials who assisted in the organization of the attack. Because Serbia rejected the ultimatum on 28.07. 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia (Serbia not Bosnia!). Russia tookSerbia side, so on 01.08. 1914 Germany declared war on Russia, and on 3.08. 1914, declared war France, Russia's ally and invaded Belgium. In response, on 4.08 1914, Great Britain declared war on Germany on behalf of the entire British Empire (including Canada). 6.08. 1914 Austria declared war on Russia. The First World War has begun. The car carrying Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife is now in Vienna in the Army Museum (Heeresmuseum Wien). It was Gräf & Stift Double Pheaton. At the time of the attack car had a license plate: A III 118. Visually it looks very similar to 11.11. 18, the day the First World War ended. And the letter A sounds like the beginning of the German word Attentat, meaning assassination. But no one can rationally explain this coincidence. Greetings

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders Thank you very much for your kind words. Allow me to make one private comment related to all my professional experience. I think Angelique has a certain natural talent. This can be seen in her behavior with a bow and a weapon. If I can suggest something, I suggest that if parents and Angelique herself is interested, look for a shooting section for her at a sports club. I think it is not that difficult in Switzerland. If she is also interested in the archery section, I would suggest participating in both. Both sections complement each other well. I've seen girls her age similarly starting at the shooting range and then winning medals in junior and adult shooting competitions. All this, of course, if Angeligue is interested in it herself. And also if, of course, her parents consent. And I think something for which you probably have natural talent is worth developing. It always opens up many possibilities. Such a private comment that can be completely ignored. Greetings.

Read it online. I think because it had the different religions all together mixed like this where as most other countries have a larger distinction between religions.

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders most of the countries around have different mixed religions,so that that mean they are all jerusalem, also Bosnia has nothing to do with Jews, btw Bosnia is Muslim majority with some Christian minority,it is a tiny beautiful country ❤️
