YES. Kris is a force of nature behind the kit. Not only that, he's one of the nicest fucking guys I've ever met. Bought a round for the band after a show in Dallas and chatted for a while.
Some of the best music and rock musicians right now. I fucking love them however my 2 other band mates refuse to listen to them even though. I just don't get it.
To me Kris is just as much the essence of Pile as Rick is, I mean his drumming is just stupid creative and dynamic. I also met him in Croatia and he was super nice.
kris and rick make the band. everyone else has been excellent but they really make it what it is. hence why they’re the last remaining members at this point. i think chappy plays with them sometimes but anyway. they really kill it.
These guys are so, so good. There is this raw, almost organic quality to their music. It almost reminds me of trying to trip on mushrooms 2 days in a row and coming to the realization that I was just a fucking loser.
Absolute favorite basic-instrumentation-style rock project; the songwriting just oozes narrative voice with every riff and transition. dogs/leaning make me cry real talk.
dont get me wrong i love the performance. I think its incredible. However i felt like the interview between songs was, for lack of a better term, whack.
I don't know, kind of fun to just see them chat about random real life shit lol. It gets kind of stale to hear the same questions and answers for musicians. "So whats the writing process like for you?" "oh well, blabblabla, its different for every song, blabalb, it usually starts with a riff/idea blablabla"
Everything this r-word host says is vastly embarrassing, it amazes me that these dudes didn't just crack up in his face based off his lack of knowledge ab their band/bowling/ how to interview in general. If I were in charge at audiotree I woulda fired this fella years ago just based off vibes. Bet he's got some nasty skeletons in his closet when it comes to his dating history he's too much of a ppl pleaser not to have some dark shit he's keeping secret lmao
This drummer is so underrated. his dynamic and unpredictable style of playing adds additional layer of complexity to their music. KILLER

I'm always saying this about pile. kris' drumming is perfect. orchestral almost

Mothers is another band on the same wave
@@landond.7126 Pile and Slothrust are my favorite bands I have found in the past few years
@@fishfur9530 Yo, great rec. I'm loving Slothrust.
@@landond.7126 Awesome rec, right in that same offbeat groove that Pile has.
Absolute favorite basic-instrumentation-style rock project; the songwriting just oozes narrative voice with every riff and transition.
dogs/leaning make me cry real talk.
you have an interesting way of describing things
thanks (i'll take that comment as positive)
It was positive, you're welcome
narrative voice? As in the songs are progressive?
The fuckin voice on this guy. And the lyrics, riffs fucked upwonky chord structure. The fuckin everything on this music. Fantastisss
Once again, impeccable audio for one of these sessions. Plus Pile are some sexy, groovin' dudes.
the whole band is underrated as hell
WHAT A PILE OF GOOD MUSIC. thankyou pile
Amazing band. Well crafted numbers. And tight. Brilliant chord changes as well.
Quirky, complex, highly creative. Congradulations

This whole project is so underrated! Just got into these guys and man I’ve been down a rabbit hole lol.
Great Grandpa brought me here. Great recommendation. Diggin' the transitions.
I wish my great-grandpa were that cool. Dead guys can't be cool, though.

Somehow I never realized that Chappy from Gnarwal was in this band. They were great too.

Does any one have any info on why Matt Becker is not playing with them this time?
i know he has kids and stuff...but just curious
Matt is taking time out to focus on family stuff. Chappy is a stellar replacement though!

“I wanted a rope swwiiinnngg!!!”
dont get me wrong i love the performance. I think its incredible. However i felt like the interview between songs was, for lack of a better term, whack.
ask them about music not bowling like for real....
Lucas Van Bakel I just watched this (7/2019) and thought the interviewer was super unprepared and awkward. Loved the performance though!
This dude has always hit me weird since he interviewed Mothers. It was like he was tripping on acid and I cant unsee it.
RIP Les Paul Jr
Rick looks like cgi in this lighting
RIP LANES AND GAMES
