Petition for the next commander video the first time someone shuffles their library in the video, make it a whole thing, with multiple camera angles, slow mo, music, etc.
Quoting CGB, "It's about the details," and I am a fan of the little details of how he organzies his lands like I do. The forests are all together, the mountains are all together, the duals are together, and the basics are on their respective sides according to the color scheme of the dual lands! Those small details make me enjoy these videos slightly more than I otherwise would.
Im impressed with how CGB built these 4 decks for this pod and how they played well against eachother AND no one deck felt too strong over the other 3. Very Impressive CGB!
these decks were definitely made with the right kind of balance and fun in mind. really good stuff in that regard CGB!!! ALSO this was a really fun game to watch :). tibalts trickery is one hell of a card lol
17:28 I found a clip of this, btw. Afaik UA-cam doesn't like links, but it's in the video titled "The Fans Strike Back | Game Knights 52 | Magic: The Gathering Commander Gameplay EDH", at 4 min and 40 seconds^^
The editor played was way too nice to the others. He should have killed CGB with the tree and Astarion and when he didn't he didn't even use it to to make CGB lose life...
i like how blakes 6/7 at attack always did 4 damage for some reason xD or how cgb removes 1 life from shae for the draw trigger after she already removed it was just cgb taking one life from her for no reason xD
Was there a reason for Brent to not use Tree of Perdition in response to Decimate to change CGB's life total from 19 to 13? Not that it mattered, just curious.
No, extort is a cast trigger. It happens and resolves before Vito resolves and hits the battlefield. The stack resolves top down with the last thing added to resolve first. Vito goes on the stack, then extort goes on the stack, the extort mana is paid, extort trigger resolves, Vito resolves then hits the battlefield.
That is such a cool way to kill someone for the victory, holy smokes. I've gotten a win that way before, feels similar to winning with a Deathrite Shaman
46:40 death kiss only doubles power, not toughness. Laelia would've ended up as a 9/2 with the counter from herself after two power doubles. Brent totally could've blocked that without damage but didn't want to lose something and not kill laelia
It didn't matter in the game, but phasing back in does not trigger an etb. The card never leaves the battlefield. It just goes to the astral plane. Edit: Ignore me, I can't hear :/
CGB said exactly that as Sad Robot phased back in. The only mistake there was that it should have been tapped as the enchantment specifies to tap it as it phases out. It didn't matter here because it happened on end step, but if it was on his own turn it would not have been able to attack.
There is a very simple fix for anyone concerned about the bans. JUST IGNORE IT AND PLAY YOUR CARDS. When you play with your friends, wotc isn't standing there to make sure you follow the rules. Just play your cards. Don't even acknowledge it unless your playing at a LGS.
Builds all decks and then makes others play them blind.. yeah, that is fair. Like challenging someone to a duel: giving a sling to opponent and shooting them with colt python.

They need to play some kind of music like the 'oh yeah' one or something
Years from now, people will whisper about how that became a fad among tcg players.
No.
Great first appearance by Brent.
Woo, Brent
I'm usually not a fan of changing up the cast but Brent was pretty cool, happy to see more of him

nice catch

Now this is Pod Building
Brent wins the award for 'knowing you can't critical fail a skill check' - awesome!
5:26 Brent’s handwave - the epitome of elegance.
these decks were definitely made with the right kind of balance and fun in mind. really good stuff in that regard CGB!!!
ALSO this was a really fun game to watch :). tibalts trickery is one hell of a card lol
That was an entertaining game. Watching CGB build a few of these decks and see how they played out was cool.
This was an awesome idea. Would love to see more pod builds like this for sets! Vibe was great, interactions were wild. Lots of fun to watch! 🌸🌺
I swear, every episode gets better and better, well done 👏
I enjoy both the idea of doing pods and the way the choice of go or pick was handled. Added a nice layer even before things started.
You can't spell BRENT without "BEN". So it's all good. Welcome, Brent! :)
16:45 CRIT FAIL :D Very appropriate. Also, awesome how Blake's shoutout worked on the die^^
No joke i hope the dice game at the begining happens every game now, is so fun and different
I come here for the vibes and jokes and always get distracted for how beatiful shae is 😅
Great videos!
This was such a fun episode to watch! Thank you for the commander content.
Great gameplay!!! Loved the whole setzing and the in universe dice rolls!
Did CGB unintentionally let Shea lose another life at 36:45?
Yeah he probably didn’t see Shea tick herself down so assumed that it had not happened yet.
Shea still would have been alive to play another turn.
Solid episode, great deck building and playing, just fun commander!
CGB needs to be forced to play mono red. Also him getting a critical fail is amazing.
He was in the secret santa episode.
23:56 when she said Sad Robot, it triggered a memory of back when Solemn Simulacrum use to be Fat Data.
tbh cgbs shuffling is pretty goated
i think you meant to say goaded
It is no more than poetic that a non-green table has no Ben in it. Flavor win in all layers
Karlach had a green background. CGB was playing Gruul.
Mocking Doppelganger is one of my favorite cards in my Volo, Guide to Monsters deck. Which coincidentally would fit into this pod perfectly.

Notice at 37 min the additional lose 1 draw 0 😂 Great fun though, nics decks!
Perfect Commander game. I miss Ben, but Brent is a cool dude, welcome!
The editor played was way too nice to the others. He should have killed CGB with the tree and Astarion and when he didn't he didn't even use it to to make CGB lose life...
24:48 - 25:00 🤣🤣
Edit: LITERALLY 30 seconds later he did not “upkeep it up” 🤣🤣🤣
This was a great one!!!
i like how blakes 6/7 at attack always did 4 damage for some reason xD
or how cgb removes 1 life from shae for the draw trigger after she already removed it was just cgb taking one life from her for no reason xD
And bcz of that shae had 1 less life and die to that last spells, só tecnallt shae was not dead
@@nunovieira3459 last i checked even if she had that extra life and had 4 life left, she still lost 6 from the sorcery and would have still lost lol
@@logan-870 sory my bad math
Brent is such a nice guy. I would love to see him again on the show!
Amazing game ❤ Love from Italy 😊
Where do I find more of this outro music?
That Video conzept is insane
poor Brent, he didn't know, but he should've taped tree of perdition sideways in response to the decimate to target CGB
Didnt use the Tree to put cgbs life at 13
Right!? Why were they even afraid of it??
Why do creatures becomes tapped when they are goaded by Shea attacking?
This video was great
Nice editor special, damn!
Was there a reason for Brent to not use Tree of Perdition in response to Decimate to change CGB's life total from 19 to 13? Not that it mattered, just curious.
Likely an oversight. The tree really did nothing the entire game but block and there was a lot of other things happening.
Off topic question for Brent, but what glasses are you rocking?
fantastic game!!
I would like to know how old is cgb
Brent *really* needed somebody to teach him what cards actually do.
Solemn Simulacrum should've phased back in tapped. That's one of Oubliette's most "annoying to be a victim of" riders.
Can we get more sharpie MTG?
Shea always with the Wrestling references
Wouldnt vito be on the battlefield so he would see extort? Or am i stupid? (Highly likely)
Can you do a inistrad zombies
I was routing for you, Brent! Gg! Cgb, it's a sad day when everyone shits on your karlach. 😢
Woo beard magic!

Why does the editor keep targeting shea??

@rabidpickleosrs2995 you are absolutely right! I missed the n't on that >.
@@adarklight505 Lol no worries, things being missed is synonymous with commander play at all levels.
The first time I'm rooting for CGB, and it's only because he picked Karlach.
I was super bummed about the ban since my husband bought me a borderless jeweled lotus for my birthday 2 weeks ago
i dont play magic , i just like you guys :-)
Karlach is bae; karlach is life
yay beard magic!!!!!!!!!
Editors kinda cute. Certainly not a face for behind the camera
Dang she got Pwned.
Covert "no rizz" GB :p
I don't believe the editor won. He just edited it to look that way...
Bro said he got no rizzz
It’s insane I got here so early
Get me some water, i'm dying of FIRST
I actually like Brent. He is one cool player. I was, however rooting for Blake to win 🏆 🙌 🙏 👏 😉 😏 🏆.
The ending was not perfect but I know you're sorry.
F banlist :(

It’s literally rule 0.
@@runcmd1419 And yet people are still concerned, so I'm just reminding them they can play how they want.

Hey we know shae is you sister...
Keep commenting until Shea notices me. It's such a great game!
F
second! 🤘
FINALLY FIRST
I'm sure this gets asked a lot but any chance of a live game in the future? @covertgoblue
