I was the second player… it was a great game! I was shaking the whole game, and then I saw that I was getting back in the game… then when you took on g5 I thought you were going to take with the rook so I had premoved and yeah… but it was a great experience.. thank you so much!!!!
Don't premove bro

Love the how to win at chess series. It's a nice refreshing pace of instructional chess with the same enthusiastic energy Levy brings to all his videos.
Thank you Levy, I was 2287 previously, but now I am on 2000 ELO, I am grateful for everything you do.
Almost 300 points, impressive!
we are evolving but backwards
I think playing Rapid chess instead of blitz would be beneficial for the series. At least in the higher elos where the plans and moves require more explaining.
This is top-notch content, Levy. I'd love to see more of this. Especially against 2000+ opponents, or at least 1500 or something, not lower-rated (even though I'm a subscriber and lower-rated than that, so that means I don't get to play you, but the instructional content is simply better when people aren't hanging funny stuff).
yes, this content is his best by far. unfortunately - as you can see - it never performs as well as his low iq videos w frank and such, so we won’t get many of these type of vids. you can’t blame him for doing what gets him the most views
@@youtubeaddict487 Unfortunately, that's true, and yeah, I don't blame him. Just wish he'd upload more of these maybe in one of his other channels or something, if he finds the time
PLEASE do more videos like this!!! I love it and can take away SOO much from it
I find it amazing how calm you are while playing a high ranked player with only 3 minutes and you take your time explaining the pro's and con's of each others moves, and best of all you win at the end😀
Love these type of guided game and keeping it entertaining, thank you for this! Don’t stop!
I love the upgrade where the map changes color when you are in a "what if" scenario, really nice
Because of you Levy I studied extensively your London opening for white video and your Kings Indian opening for black and it propelled me from 600 Elo to 1050 Elo already
Check out Vienna opening, it’s a lot more aggressive but you can really destroy your opponents.
@@ajcon3874 I just started watching his video on that it looks incredible but alas I’m a slow learner haha so it’ll take me some time

Wow, I've only watched the first game of this vid and I love the format. You've made it very easy to follow. I'm knocking on 1000, but I'm definitely aiming for a title. I haven't bought any of your courses yet, but I know I need to work on my middle and end game. I usually feel very solid in the early game unless I see an uncommon opening because I've been sticking to 3 openings. Vienna for white and Caro-Kann/KID for black. Thank you for the great content! What courses would you recommend for me?
Thank you levy, you are a great teacher and I learned alot from your videos. Whish you do more of these. Can you provide the PGN of the second game? Thanks (also sorry for my bad english)
Today's stare was simple, yet influencial. 9/10
Xd!
how is your comment older than the video

As much as I enjoy your regular content, you are an exceptional instructor as well and these educational videos are very informative. Would love to see more educational content!
Great video, I havw your Caro course, so this 3rd game was super instructional. I wish you made more of these types of videos, maybe in rapid time control.
As always, great video Levy.
ive been stuck in the 1900s (rapid) for a while, and this vid gave me some confidence to reach that 2000 milestone. thanks Gotham!

I just started playing some chess again a few weeks ago after about 10 years. Win at Chess is definitely my favorite series on your channel. Really helpful!!
Would love to see more in the future
"See this knight? Its trash, its a nonfactor in the game."

"I might capture this knight, its a critical defender."
Love this series - very instructive
I love this content! More of this advanced stuff please
32:28 so worried about the hanging pawn he forgot he could just promote it and win!
Yeah I noticed that too and he didn't even mention it in the analysis at the end. Even 2750s can make a double blunder it seems!
omg i didn’t even realize 😭😭
how is he gonna win if rook just takes? (might be 400elo
question)
Rook and pawn vs 2 pawns
@@dinkleb4551 yeah but thats only cz the other guy blundered a free pawn cz he pre moved so levy expect that, funny double blunder tho
Levy leaves the tactic on the board for like 4 moves then when he spots it says that sometimes he likes to give his subs a lil help then falls for it anyways, truly one of the chess players of all time.
Here When The Title was"Want to be 2000 in Chess?"
Finally something decent instead for 100.000 tutorials for newbies. I swear nearly nobody makes content for 2000+ tbh
Gotham you know you my favorite chess media person of all time because some times things you tell the world looks like you speak to me 😂 love your vidoes
Gotham please more videos exactly like this one this was fantastic
Thank you for helping me to get to a 1000 after 1 and a half months of playing, I started off at a 500 then grinded and played 10 games a day, learned a few openings, and then watch guess the elo for fun every night, after a few weeks I got to an 800 then in another month I got to a 1000 elo
These are truly my favorite of all Gotham Series!
me too. it’s sad that it never performs as well as his non instructive videos ;/ props to him making this anyway
Gotham saying 'its a move sounds' like something his bot would say lol

Thank you gotham for teaching something to a bit stronger players instead of the usual beginner-intermediate level instructions
Me watching as a 900: 👁👄👁
Me looking at your comment with 1500 blitz rating at 10 years old
Win at chess is the best educational series ever! Thanks, Levy
please do more of these instructional vidoes where you say you thoughts out loud and play 2000+ people. so great!
Working on the 2000 grind myself. I think at this level everyone is obviously very competitive and sharp. 9/10 they will play for a win and will play very aggressively. However if your play is solid, you can use this to your advantage by being patient, exchange when the time is right and by allowing them to over extend and risk their stability in the pursuit of some grand attack. They could even be stronger players than you, but that won't really matter if you make less mistakes than them.
Only a 2000 can feel so relaxed in a blitz game.
Thanks Levi I'll try to use this knowledge in a game of my own
Loved this video! More of these higher mid-level games please!
As a 1600 who dreams of 2000 someday this was a great teaching video.

As someone who went from -1 to +6000 Elo and beat ChatGPT, Levy's guides are the guides we didnt deserve, but needed
shut up bot
Real, totally not a bot
This is by far the most useful Gotham content in my mind. The 6-700 videos are too simple, players just fling pieces into fire;
tournament recaps are too complex, with the razor thin margin of a mistake being near impossible to identify without engine assistance;
Guess the Elo is good but games trend toward really good or really bad, and feedback tends to be more reactionary
But Win at Chess, generally with 10 minute games and time to talk over the thought process of each move, is the sweet spot.
Oh yes! I loved this series and I thought you stopped doing it. Keep it doing pls ♥
Thank you to share this instructive video cause i struggle to pass the 1800 level in lichess and you show how to play 1900 level players around.

i think this seriese is better when you do it with rapid games. the extra time to be instructional makes them wayy more valuable to me.
Good to see some more content for the more advanced players, even though most of gothams' audience is lower rated we appreciate these more in depth videos
i love this series so much it’s my favorite on youtube i wish it got more views than your dumber content so you would make them more often

Thanks for the nice video, I think it was quite instructive. How would you see the same concept but for a rapid game? Something like 15+10 with more time for more in-depth reasoning -- of course playing one instead of three. I'm a new subscriber so hopefully this isn't already somewhere in your channel :_D [or hopefully it is!].
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that if Frank watched this video he would lose 1500 elo since he's Stockfish himself?

How to win at chess is my favorite series, sad that it was gone for so long.
classic gotham chess. love it. I love the analysis of pro games but for my rating its like watching pro tennis or any other elite thing, despite great commentary the games never represent much of what happens at 1800. So this is entertaining and really instructive. Love it, thanks
I think the biggest factor that helped me to get to 2000 is practicing my calculation. Improving my positional play also helped me get to 2000+
1st game was beautiful
15:36 the we can analyse later sounds exactly like danya
This video was well-needed! Thanks a lot, Levy!
25:22 I was genuinely curious but levy never got into analyzing this later so I decided to see for myself and found out that it doesn't fail the evaluation bar is +2.0 if the opponent found that move
