After you finish with Fawlty Towers (and my absolute favorite episode is coming up), I recommend Black Adder. It doesn't have any of the Python crew in it, but it's very funny.

John Cleese is brilliant in everything he does.
His role as the bad-tempered, irritable Basil Fawlty is outstanding.
It is absolutely understandable that the series "Fawlty Towers" was ranked first in a list of the 100 best British TV shows by the British Film Institute in 2000.
In 2019, it was voted the best British TV sitcom ever by a committee of comedy experts compiled by the Radio Times..

Has anyone suggested Ripping Yarns yet? It was the next series Michael Palin & Terry Jones did after Python and had some great episodes, especially the hilarious send up of English public schools in the first one. It spoofs "boys own" adventure stories, a different one for each episode, all starring Palin and written by Palin/Jones. Any Python fan should enjoy it but there were only 9 episodes unfortunately.

This episode is brilliant to watch with John Cleese's commentary because he just completely loses it when Polly's pretending to be Sybil, he's just howling and braying and snorting with laughter at the sight of her.
He also says that this was his favourite episode to make because due to a strike at the BBC, they ended up with an extra week of rehearsals, so the timing of the jokes and reactions was just tighter than if they had the regular amount of time.

Well there's Ripping Yarns, starring Michael Palin with dozens of guest stars, he usually plays multiple roles. John Cleese shows up for one pointless scene and says absolutely nothing, but it's hilarious. The Deaf Lady is brilliant in her episode. It's an anthology of different stories, all Python like silliness, all set at random periods prior to the second world war.
Clockwise, John Cleese as an obsessively punctual headmaster running late...
Erik the Viking, John Cleese is the villain, Terry Jones is in it and wrote/directed it, and it stars Tim Robbins from the Shawshank redeption, doing Pythonesquely silly things.
There's also the Hollywood bowl live show, a classic.
You could look into the Young Ones, Filthy Rich and Catflap, and Bottom. You might take to Rik Mayal and Ade Edmondson. or even the series they and dozens of other classic UK COmedians started in, Comic Strip Presents. (Robbie Coltrane is in dozens of them and often steals the scenes he's in)

You've probably been over this before. Connie Booth (Polly) was John Cleese's wife during this period. She cowrote many of the episodes as well as wrote and sometimes appear in the Monty Python sketches. Connie was the witch in Holy Grail movie of course. They had a daughter (Cynthia) who appears in both A Fish Called Wanda (along with Michael Palin) and Fierce Creatures. Connie Booth has a part in the comedy High Spirits with a young Liam Neeson and Peter O'Toole.

quoted from IMDB: "Basil and Sybil Fawlty were based on Donald and Beatrice Sinclair, genuine hoteliers who ran the 41-bed Gleneagles Hotel in Torquay where John Cleese stayed whilst filming on location in early May 1970 with the Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969) team. Mr Sinclair's irascible antics included: berating Terry Gilliam for eating his meals in "too American" a way (ie. with knife and fork in the 'wrong' hands); throwing Eric Idle's briefcase over a wall because of a "bomb scare" (the scare was that Idle left the briefcase in the reception area); disbelief at Michael Palin asking to pre-book the Gleneagles TV to catch a show; after Graham Chapman requested an omelette made with three eggs, Sinclair brought him an omelet with three fried eggs perched on top (and refused to serve him a brandy); when asked by Cleese to call for a taxi, he argued with Cleese and took his time calling for the cab. Mrs Sinclair later complained that the sit-com had been unfair to her husband, and she described John Cleese as an "utter fool" who had "made millions out of our unhappiness". The Gleneagles Hotel, under new ownership, ran Fawlty Towers weekends once a month where guests were looked after by actors who play the part of Basil, Sybil and Manuel. Opened in 1963, it closed permanently in February 2015, and is to be demolished with retirement apartments built on the site. Cleese later used the name "Donald P. Sinclair" for his eccentric billionaire character in the movie Rat Race (2001)."
